Le complexe n’a pas de piscine , ni de restaurant sur place mais offre la possibilité d’utilisé les installations du Lost iguana qui est à 500 mètres. Situé à 25 minutes de La Fortuna ce qui n'est pas très loin non plus. Juste la vue vaut le prix. Pura Vida

We stayed in a room with volcano view ! Large, well furnished, with big terrace to admire the view on Arenal volcano. The place is great, in the middle of nature ; really nice and helpful staff ! Just to be aware, breakfast is not located directly on property but in a hôtel close by, shuttle available !

We had a quick stay here but the check in process was very easy and incredibly helpful. The staff at the front desk really accommodated us and helped us out a lot. We did a tour and needed to stay a bit longer past check out and they were very welcoming with that. The rooms were very comfortable. The restaurant is down the hill (which is a 30 second drive) but that was fine with us. They mentioned there was a shuttle that goes back and forth as well that we could take.

Our stay at the Sangregado Lodge was excellent. The staff worked very hard to make our stay as smooth as possible. The restaurant on site was excellent with the friendliest service around. The food was wonderful too. The servers accommodated us with special requests and assisted us with shuttle service back and forth from the restaurant to our room.

The view from our room (#11) was unbelievable. We had a full window wall that provided a jaw-dropping view of the volcano. Impressive!!! It was very convenient being adjacent to Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park. There are no restaurants at the Lodge but the neighboring hotel has a very nice restaurant which is just a very short drive down the hill. Breakfast, which is included, is also at this restaurant and is very good. The drive into LaFortuna is about 15-20 minutes or so. Highly recommend if you don't mind being outside of LaFortuna.

We stayed at Sangregado Lodge for two nights with our family of five at the beginning of August. While the hotel is a little out of town, requiring a car, we felt like we discovered our own magical and serene slice of heaven with a direct view of the La Fortuna volcano. The hotel is conveniently located directly opposite the Hanging Bridges Park, which was on our list of places to visit. The only downside is that the hotel does not have an onsite restaurant. However, they offer an option to include breakfast, and they have arrangements with two nearby restaurants: one at the Lost Iguana Lodge, about 500 meters down the hill, and another across from the hotel near the hanging bridges. Having a car made it easy for us to access both dining options. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our cabin, which had two separate rooms with very large and comfortable beds, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and even a washer and dryer. This was especially convenient since it rained both days, and we ended up needing to do laundry before heading to the coast. We loved our experience at this smaller, boutique hotel. It's quiet and not crowded, which was exactly what we needed. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Our favorite hotel in Costa Rica. Such a unique experience with a wall of glass overlooking the jungle. Great location if visiting hanging bridges but a bit far from everything else. Breakfast was great at lost iguana, but a bit annoying having to drive to another resort for included breakfast

It’s a decent room, and somewhat charming to have your own little cabin. The views are obviously spectacular, and easily the highlight. That being said, this is a very small “hotel” with 14 cabins I believe. No overnight staffing, no amenities and somewhat in the middle of nowhere. Even the included breakfast is at another hotel, which is a drive (not a walk) away. There are insects/spiders we have been killing. Not my kind of place. Definitely much better options for the money

Very friendly front desk staff, provide all useful information. The room is very clean and can even see the volcano. Waiting up hearing all the bird churbing and that makes you feel so good. It’s like staying in the rain forest. Breakfast is included and you just need to drive 1-2 mins to the resort next door. All very convenient. The hanging bridge park is right next to the lodge parking.

This is the most beautiful accommodation I have ever stayed in! The "villa" was stunning, clean, well appointed and nestled in the magical landscape in such a way that it felt like we were alone in the forest. The staff was fantastic, helpful, accommodating and kind. I can not say enough positive things about Sangregado Lodge! I highly highly recommend!

The rooms are just like the picture. We stayed in Villa 11 for the first night then moved to Villa 13 due to 11 not being available for all the nights we were staying there. We preferred Villa 11 because it had a table and chairs on the deck outside along with a chair swing. The views (when it wasn't cloudy) were stunning. The sounds of the rainforest were amazing - especially in the bathroom where there is a screen and you can hear the outside without having a window/door open. The room was very clean (an occasional bug but we didn't mind, it is the rainforest). Easy to drive to - we didn't have a 4x4 and were fine. The breakfast at the lodge down the road was very good and the property is beautiful. The Mistico hanging bridges park is just a walk across the street and definitely recommend. We also booked an excursion thru the lodge with La Roca which is also just 10 minutes away (they pick you up at that the lodge - the road to their location is best with a 4x4). It is about 25 minutes from town center. If you are looking for quiet but with restaurants and excursions nearby, I would recommend this place.

Bonus coconut water welcome drink. Walking distance to Mistico bridges, submerged in nature. Would definitely stay again.

Sangregado Lodge was a great stay. Conveniently located across the street from Mistico Park. The staff is nice, friendly, and responsive through what's app. We did have some trouble scheduling tours through what's app however. Be sure to confirm your excursions are scheduled. The view from the room was amazing! The only negative are the bugs in the room. We found many different bugs when we first entered the room. We shoo'd out as many as we could but they'd still find their way in.

Most of the Sangregado Casitas face the Arenal Volcano. The rooms and bathrooms have a beautiful view into the jungle/Arenal. The rooms are small but very clean. Note: there is no closet or clothing rack so you have to live out of your suitcase. The free breakfast is not on-site, but a short drive away. There is coffee service in the room. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful.

Absolutely beautiful view from bed and balcony! We stayed in cabin 11, room and bathroom was spacious, bed was comfortable. Would recommend this for the unique non-hotel experience.

The views of the volcano from our room were gorgeous! Each room is like a private treehouse. The rooms were very basic, but very clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. Loved the rain shower with views of the trees.

Most of the Sangregado Casitas face the Arenal Volcano. The rooms and bathrooms have a beautiful view into the jungle/Arenal. The rooms are small but very clean. Note: there is no closet or clothing rack so you have to live out of your suitcase. The free breakfast is not on-site, but a short drive away. There is coffee service in the room. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful.

This hotel stay was spectacular. Staying in a room with floor-to-ceiling windows, immersed in the rainforest, with a perfectly framed volcano view, was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The hotel amenities are a bit spare, and the location is about 30 minutes from the nearest tourist area (Fortuna) + 2 minutes from the closest restaurant. You'll want to rent a car to get around. But the room itself is so gorgeous, and the paths through the jungle so charming, that the remote location is more than worth it. Just outside the hotel lobby, you have a jungle park with hanging bridges; you will not want for adventure during your stay at Sangregado! ❤️

This is the most beautiful accommodation I have ever stayed in! The "villa" was stunning, clean, well appointed and nestled in the magical landscape in such a way that it felt like we were alone in the forest. The staff was fantastic, helpful, accommodating and kind. I can not say enough positive things about Sangregado Lodge! I highly highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at the Sangregado. Francisco and Luis were both taking turns at the reception and were incredibly nice, attentive, and expedient with their responses. They made sure we were well cared for, whether it was reservations or an issue with an equipment in the room. They are great advertisements for Sangregado. The remainder of the staff as well were wonderful. The included breakfast buffet at the Blue Hibiscus (at the Lost Iguana down the road) was delicious and all staff there were also wonderful. Sangregado was an oasis, away from the crowds, nestled in the forests looking towards Arenal. We will certainly return here in the future.

Francisco was so super friendly and helpful! He booked us for Mistico and offered to book other excursions. He was able to provide recommendations for food and excursions. He walked our bags to the room upon our arrival, after cutting open fresh coconuts for us to drink. We enjoyed our stay!

We had a quick stay here but the check in process was very easy and incredibly helpful. The staff at the front desk really accommodated us and helped us out a lot. We did a tour and needed to stay a bit longer past check out and they were very welcoming with that. The rooms were very comfortable. The restaurant is down the hill (which is a 30 second drive) but that was fine with us. They mentioned there was a shuttle that goes back and forth as well that we could take.

Sangregado Lodge has to be one of the BEST PLACES I'VE EVER STAYED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE and I've traveled a lot. The rooms are ridiculously beautiful. Modern with amazing views (looking at the volcano every morning was breathtaking). The glass shower was a plus! I loved that it's only 11 villas and that it was quiet. Francisco and Luis are RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING! They did all they could to make my stay at the lodge an unforgettable experience. I'll never forget it ❤️. So friendly, kind and professional with a level of hospitality that I haven't seen anywhere else. They are also very knowledgeable about so many things including flora and fauna and the area. The breakfast area is very far. I recommend ALWAYS taking the trolly. The people at the breakfast spot were very nice and kind while professional. I wish I had stayed longer. I was actually sad when I left. I would have extended my stay here instead of going to Guanacaste. I loved that they are also right across the místico park. Please go! It's amazing! Such a beautiful setting. The view from the shower and bedroom is extraordinary! It is up a steep windy road across from Mistico. It was perfect for us to stay there and go to Mistico first thing in the morning. It is far from town but closer to the volcano and hot springs. The breakfast is down a steep hill that requires driving (or their shuttle) and was a good buffet.

We stayed at Sangregado Lodge for two nights with our family of five at the beginning of August. While the hotel is a little out of town, requiring a car, we felt like we discovered our own magical and serene slice of heaven with a direct view of the La Fortuna volcano. The hotel is conveniently located directly opposite the Hanging Bridges Park, which was on our list of places to visit. The only downside is that the hotel does not have an onsite restaurant. However, they offer an option to include breakfast, and they have arrangements with two nearby restaurants: one at the Lost Iguana Lodge, about 500 meters down the hill, and another across from the hotel near the hanging bridges. Having a car made it easy for us to access both dining options. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our cabin, which had two separate rooms with very large and comfortable beds, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and even a washer and dryer. This was especially convenient since it rained both days, and we ended up needing to do laundry before heading to the coast. We loved our experience at this smaller, boutique hotel. It's quiet and not crowded, which was exactly what we needed. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

It is an an absolute amazing place that is right in front of the Volcán Arenal and it has amazing views. One thing that could be helpful is that they put more signs indicating where the hotel is because we got lost looking for it and we had to go until the Centro of Arenal because of that Al so they should have there own restaurant in the area so it's easier for the consumer

The perfect view on the Vulcano! There is no other hotel with this view in the middle of the jungle. The staff was super friendly and we felt welcomed. Only thing you need to keep in mind is that you’re pretty far away from anything, which also means restaurants and attractions. So a car is definitely needed.

Our stay at the Sangregado was excellent. It was the first time in Costa Rica for my family of four. I am so happy that our first experience was at the Sangregado. Our villa was clean, safe, and tucked into the jungle. It was convenient to be across the street from Mistico, but at night when the park cleared out, the setting was peaceful and serene. Our ability to access the pool and restaurant at the Lost Iguana was also a huge benefit, and I can't say enough about the relationship between the two. Finally, I have never been treated with such friendly and professional service. The Sangregado staff went out of their way to ensure my family had everything we needed and more. I would give them 6 stars if I could!

Wonderful stay, unbeatable views. Check in/out process was easy and staff were very friendly and responsive. Breakfast buffet included at Blue Hibiscus, neighboring hotel, was great. All around, we were looking for someplace we can enjoy the views and immerse ourselves in nature, this was definitely the spot.

We stayed here for 4 nights, it was a bit pricey in my opinion, but it had a stunning view of the hillsides and the volcano (when it wasn't cloud cover). You will need transportation in and out as it's a bit off the beaten path. The Villas are nice and updated on the inside. The bathroom and deck are definitely bigger features in the room as you can sit on the deck and stare out into the lush green fields or you can have a bath doing the same. Breakfast was included but you have to go down the hill (2 minute drive, there is also a shuttle that goes once and comes back once, or you can walk, ha), it was a typical buffet style breakfast so nothing overly impressive but good way to start the day. The staff in both the Sangregado and the Blue Hibiscus (restaurant below) were amazing and super accommodating. They were fantastic when it came to recommend tours, excursions, and places to eat. They will even make reservations for you and you can add the price of the excursion to your room tab. On an end note, the place was quiet, clean, and a pleasant place to kick back and relax.

Our favorite hotel in Costa Rica. Such a unique experience with a wall of glass overlooking the jungle. Great location if visiting hanging bridges but a bit far from everything else. Breakfast was great at lost iguana, but a bit annoying having to drive to another resort for included breakfast

Our room was changed due to construction and the view, shower and the bed wasn't what I paid for. That being said, It was still really nice. I wish we had more time to spend there and when the construction is finished, we will be back.

We rented a family villa because Expedia showed it as having a mountain view, but the family villas actually don’t have mountain views. That was a little disappointing since that’s one of the reasons we booked it.

The hotel is very cute. Amazing views from the room . Breakfast was great and staff was helpful. The downside was that we visited during the rain season, so it was super humid and some parts of the bathroom are not fully sealed. It has a big open area covered with net, so even with AC running it was very humid in the room and hard to sleep. Coffee and coconuts was delicious
