Tru by Hilton San Antonio Lackland Sea World

After 2 nights stay with them I woke up this morning to my rear truck window being broke out, things stolen from my vehicle on this property. Only one person offered to help me make a police report , and others didn't act like they cared, they politely told us they have had issues in the past, why not note this on your website or Google. Because filling your pocket no matter what the cost to customers. Never again will I stay here and I will totally let my family know the same as well as friends

Hotel was very clean and breakfast was decent. We did wake up to cops around the building and about ten vehicles broken into.

Need to take more care of the pool.

I have been on the road since Sunday won’t bore with my personal drama , Wednesday I checked in on line payed on line . I showed up to tru by the Hilton at 6:15ish checked in at the front desk young lady and very pleasant . I go to my room first thing I smell spoke mixed cologne like the person just left . I was so tired I over looked the smoke smell . I get up get ready for the day of driving and what do I see done to my truck shattered window someone or somebody broke in romish through my belongings. get in the truck trying to touch anything to take pictures go back into the office and then I realize wait. I have a hidden compartment. Did they find that when to go look? Luckily they didn’t find a hidden compartment I go back to the front desk a young man at the front was kind polite and said here’s the number to the police station or the cops or whatever call them and they’ll take a report and he said as long as you didn’t have a gun stolen I said no they didn’t get it. They didn’t find it and then he gave me the managers card and name or Assistant, managers, name, he proceeded to say maybe they can you know call corporate and help with the window and I was like OK I’ll give her a call today when I get back into town I get into town. I settled out I unpack I’m thinking about the day and I said let me let me call Bianca Sanchez . She will not return my calls I’m a business owner myself and saying that first word of thumb always communicate with your customer. Linda Setze

The hotel in itself was very good we stayed here because it had a heated indoor pool and my daughter loves to swim however on the second night there was some kind of birthday party and many many children in the pool. My daughter is autistic and there is no way she was dealing with all the loud noise from all those children. So one day was lost for the main reason we stayed at the hotel. Also the second morning I was out walking around and noticed a couple pickup trucks had broken windows. Turned out there were about 11 vehicles with broken windows. The police showed up shortly and started taking statements luckily our vehicle did not get smashed into but I was told that was the third time this month at that same Hotel that Vehicles had been vandalized and broken into. I don't think I would stay there again even though the hotel itself was very nice

We had our vehicle broken into while staying here. Several others were too. All the employees park under the awning indicating this a regular thing. No manager will return our calls or emails. Nice hotel, but the crime and poor management makes it a no-go.

Someone broke into my truck. Shattered my back window. Staff would look up video they were rude and didn’t want to help. Of course nobody saw nothing.

Nice room, good breakfast, nice pool and game area, convenient location

My stay was bad my truck was broken into the second night of our stay . We were not the only ones other vehicles as well . Management is aware but does not care.do not stay here.

Cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in since 2018! Staff was very friendly! Beds were very comfortable.

The first room we were given had a maintenance worker in there and the second room was filthy. The floors were sticky and there was dirt on the soap bottles in the shower. The pool area was unkempt. No towels. Saw a cockroach in the lobby. Very disappointing stay. Won’t be back.

Bed bugs. My first experience of this (thankfully) I’m covered around my chest/neck. Reported to front desk who pretty much scowled at me. A guy turned up later on with fresh pillows at our request who gave the same scowl. Woke up one morning with the pillow covered in brown rusty spots….thats their excrement. Great. And now I’m covered in bites. They did not care whatsoever Note to anyone with a food allergy at breakfast. No one was able to answer my question about what the food did or did not contain. Completely unable to tell me

The room smell cigarette smoke, which was covered up with potpourri spray on the beddings. The bathroom was dirty with pubic hairs and shower floor needs scrubbing. Rust on the metal frame in the bathroom & hole on the wall.

A couple of things you will have to pay for parking and also have a $50 refundable deposit. I also found a cockroach in my room. That grossed me out. I contacted the front desk and expedia and was refunded 1 nite out of the two nights I paid for. Customer Service was great Im not sure I would stay there again if they have cockroaches

Overall I say, the hotel was okay. Breakfast was good and location was perfect. However, when I checked in and got to the room, I found hair in the shower and the shower itself was leaking water all over. It’s funny because it has a sticker on the mirror that says “cleaned and disinfected”. Not sure about bed sheets, because they didn’t look fresh either.

Room was good, shower floor was dirty. The pool was not cleaned. First night we tried to use it and it had a bandaid on the floor and hairs. Went back two days later. Same Bandaid was there. Used the gym, and there was no water. All the reusable water filters were red. I let an employee know and they were never replaced. Would not stay here again. Staff were friendly, but this hotel is lacking maintenance.

We were new into town for our sons graduation and we absolutely enjoyed our stay!The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. The rooms, lobby, and common spaces were so clean.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was smaller than i thought but, i slept comfortable.

I would give 5 stars only if there were a coffee maker and microwave in the room. As a coffeeholic i was struggling to have coffee at midnight and the lobby was without it. And try to warm something and have to go downstairs to do it.. besides that everything was pretty good the room was clean and the breakfast area super complete

Overall this hotel was great for our needs. Downsides are the rooms are a bit small, no storage space options, like drawers or shelves. And safes are not in the rooms. Other than that, check in/check out was easy, breakfast was decent and it is a good location to get to most things within about 20min.

Staff very friendly breakfast was good all around nice people bed was comfy but I had a room with king bed but no closet or anywhere to put my suitcases that’s the only thing for me maybe everybody else will be ok with that room Little small .

It was easy to book, rooms are modern and minimalist. Easy parking with no fees, and the only bad thing was their internet could have been more stable/fast (awfully slow).

Would not stay there again. I like some eco friendly things but this felt like a bachelor’s apartment when he’s 21. It did not feel luxurious like a Hilton. The “closet” was a bar with hangers above a dresser and some hooks on a wall that I ran into often. There was no closet. It felt ghetto not “eco friendly”. The bed frames felt cheap and they were dirty where the open spaces were from the mattress. The internet was terrible as was the TV. I couldn’t get several channels to turn on. Husband didn’t like that there wasn’t a nightstand on the left or right side of the beds only 1 shared dresser. He ended up putting most of his stuff on the floor. Positives: mattress was comfy, shower was nice (had many stains though), and I loved the soaps.The downstairs was great as was the breakfast. Staff were all friendly. But we weren’t there for staff we were there for Sea World. Would not stay there again.

The hotel was nice, just as expected. the only complaint was when entering the room, the AC was turned off and the temperature inside the room was 91 degrees. Unfortunately, I had a bit of a late check-in so, it took until around midnight to get the room cooled down.

Good hotel, loved the service and the breakfast options. No closets in the room that was a bit disappointing.

They have a sign in the bathroom stating the come to do housekeeping every other day. We had a week stay and the didnt come once to clean. When I asked at the front desk, the girl working asked if if had requested housekeeping. I told her there was a sign stating the come every other day and it was the fourth day by then and no one had come in. She said ill see if they have time today no one ever came they entire stay.

Check-In took forever because there was no one at the desk for at least 5-10 minutes. Once we checked in, the room was not in great condition. There were no ice buckets anywhere on the floor and we had to go to the front desk and ask for them. The shelf in the shower was falling off of the wall, and housekeeping did not make it to our room at all during our three day stay. We had to go to the desk and ask for clean towels for our room and for the pool, and they shut down breakfast the second day ahead of schedule.

The property is located in a convenient location, close to SeaWorld and restaurants and stores. The property was clean. We have stayed in this property for 3 nights. Staffs were ignorant and rude. They had no idea about customer service. A few of the guests and I have asked for Coffee several times and we were told they would make the coffee but they didn't. Breakfast was in two places, it was confusing. The food selection was poor compared to other Hilton hotels I had been. Couldn't sleep well due to heavy walking noise from upstairs. They had one guy at night shift who was in phone most of the time. Guest had to wait in the counter for long time before they were acknowledged. Poor management was visible at the counter and other places. Will not consider this location in the future.

Took about 20 minutes for someone to come to front desk to check me in.

Amazing facility and guest service was exceptional.

The staff was exceptional! The couple of requests I had they came through with flying colors! Highly recommend them based on the staff alone!

Its ok....our biggest issue is the turn over service. Their policy is service every other day or call and request. I called on 2nd day at about 730 am . We got back to our room at about 9pm and NO SERVICE. . This the 3rd time this happens to us. We asked for management to contact us and they did not. We stay there becasue of location convenience but we will probay be looking for a different place next time.

There was no service when asked for what hotel we were there for the front desk clerk stated we needed to wait on the other line... and then there was a change of shift and she ended checking us in, no customer service at all,no information given about amenities or anything. Then later on observe this employee sitting at the fornt desk on her phone gone are the days of customer service.

The best were the staff. A great option next time we visit San Antonio. Thank you!

Staff were great and Ricky the front desk receptionist was very friendly , we stayed almost a week a felt a home . We found are go to when we go back to San Antonio

A very friendly place for a family trip. It's close to Sea World Park .

Stayed with family and kids for a night while visiting sea world. Clean room and bathroom with hardwood floors, excellent hot breakfast with variety of choices, will definitely stay again. They charge $5 a night for self parking which can be avoided.

No complaints. It was clean and everyone was very friendly! It was a good location for us as we needed to be close to Lackland AFB for our son’s graduation. We would stay again!

It was a nice hotel to stay in while in town to visit the Airforce base. Not too far away and easy to find.

Great hotel. Safe neighborhood with lots of eateries. Breakfast spread. Pool table. Indoor pool was comfortable but could have been warmer. 20 minutes away from Riverwalk.

The hotel was right off of highway and about a mile from relatives home. Eating places were in close proximity to the hotel. Courteous /friendly staff, fast check in, very nice lobby, room was very large, quiet, wife loved the colors in the room. Nice breakfast. Breakfast was in two different areas. Had to go to other area across lobby to get eggs, meat & potatoes. Other than that it was a great experience. Will definitely look for the same hotel in a different city.

I like the location of the hotel, because it was close to proximity to our activities in San Antonio. However, we had to continuously ask for towels (we stayed for 3 days and I know they come tidy up every other day) because housekeeping didn’t leave any towels when the came to attend to the room. Also, the breakfast was subpar at best and was very confusing. It was in separate sides of the hotel. The staff was very friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay and had the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had here. There were many options to choose from we all ate very good. The only complaint we had was the fridge made a high pitch sound. Other than that we loved this hotel! Oh and the pool was nice and warm!

It was fresh but not very tasty. It lacked seasoning. Few hot options. Eggs done one way. No choice between bacon or sausage. They only offered sausage patties and they were cheap large frozen patties, not fresh. They didn't have enough table waffle irons or pancake machines. It caused quite a bottle neck with families waiting their turn. They have one small container to hold milk for cereal and other needs. It ran out frequently. No fruit options. Only one option for yogurt. For what's charged per room with excess deposit and parking fees.

The room had 2 queen beds but was quite small. Housekeeping only comes every 2 days for towels and trash unless you request otherwise. The lady at the front desk in the mornings was not very friendly and seems annoyed as if she was being bothered. The pool is constantly out of towels and the hot breakfast was cold, even when they brought more from the back it was not warm. Front desk also called our room around midnight saying we were getting noise complaints of loud music and slamming doors when we were laying in bed watching a movie on low volume that I could barely hear it.

It was a beautiful property. It was very quiet. Great breakfast just very nice. Stay.

Loved the room. Clean and smelled good. Also loved the breakfast. Very yummy. Rosa and Raul, that prepared the breakfast downstairs, eggs….potatoes, crunchy bacon…..were very intentive to all of us breakfast motel stayers, while we were making our plates…. They also had some amazing homemade Salsita!!!! Sabroso🙌 So tasty!! Thank you again ❤️❤️❤️

Nice lobby and lots of options for breakfast

Overall, the hotel and rooms were clean and nice. We asked for a crib for the two nights we were there and they didn’t have one available on either of the nights. The breakfast area was broken into two opposite ends of the lobby which made things confusing and not easily manageable.

Ms Rosa’s salsa for breakfast was soooo good. Hotel is very quiet, clean, several amenities, and the bed slept great!
