Worst hotel experience I have had in a very long time. I tried this hotel to save some money since all hotels in Midland are expensive. Never again. The front desk attendant when I checked in was unhelpful and seemed as if I were annoying her. The only ice machine would not supply ice, and the screen said it was off. I asked the front desk attendant (more annoyed) if she could turn it on or if there was another machine. No to both. The 2nd floor hallway smelled like feces that were being masked by cleaners and my room smelled like someone had been living in it for weeks without showering. I could hear a dog whining next to my room, possibly the fecal smell source, and I never heard someone come or go from that room. The next morning, dog still whining, hallway still stunk, but the ice machine worked. Apparently it just needed to be told to run…

I stayed there about 2 months ago ice machine was not working, and 2 months later ice machine still not working. Custer there put a big dent on my vehicle.

The hotel was very quiet and clean. The gym was well equipped and clean as well. I liked that they had Dove soaps, conditioners and lotions in the room, way better then the normal hotel offerings.

It was a good stay. Definitely better than the price I paid. It’s quiet and good parking

I stayed at this hotel for four nights. The second night all the electric power got shut off. I am not sure what caused it to happen, but the entire hotel had no electricity for a few hours. The third night the electricity went out in my room only. I went down to the lobby and they were able to get it turned back on pretty quickly.

I typically stay at hotels about 200 days a year. I was looking forward to this stay, just booked a night because I didn’t know how long I’d be in town. 1:43AM the fire alarm goes off in the entire hotel. I get out of bed at 2 since it appears they were not quickly addressing the issue. 2:15am I make a video of about 30 oil workers in the lobby, I ask for a refund as if walk across the street to another hotel and sleep in peace. Jerry (night front dusk) unwilling to do that, I call Jay the GM at the number Jerry gives, loops back to the lobby phone. Advice for Jay, if you aren’t going to be around, teach your staff how to turn off the alarm. Full disclosure, I still expect a refund. Stayed in your hotel for 3:30 hrs before this. Alarm went off for 80 minutes.

I stay at this hotel often. Great breakfast and weight room. Staff does their job. Rooms are clean and the hotel is relatively quiet

I like the truck parking, close to truckstop, Fleetpride, walmart and places to eat

This was just an over night stay. Lots of work on the roads around the property, but the hotel itself was clean and comfortable. Basic breakfast options, but good. Ice maker was broken and had a sign to ask the front desk about ice. First time I asked about ice, was told machine was broken. Before leaving the next day asked if ice was available, new lady, she was very helpful and went to the back and got me ice from the workers area. That was very nice.

Sheets appeared to be unchanged. Room smelled stale. Bathroom tile grouting deteriorating and tiles are loose.

Dirty sheets/ we found an old card holder on one of the beds. The beds were smelly.

The room was incredibly clean (comfy bed and clean sheets/towels). The staff was super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Definitely recommend this place and we’ll definitely be back next time.

The toilet was not clean which made me doubt the the cleanliness of everything else.

Hotel was very nice. My room was very clean. The bathroom was clean, except the shower still had hair, in it.

Property was very clean, easy check in. Beds were super comfy.

From the moment I walked in I didn’t feel comfortable. Checked in and got to the room and noticed a rotten smell. My husband thought maybe sewage or bad pipes of some sort. The comforter was stained and looked dirty. We walked out immediately, turned in our keys and forfeited our money. We happily payed to stay elsewhere.

Wrong address for property on listing. Shower was dirty. Beds were very comfortable. Average breakfast. Okay for its purpose of overnight stay on our roadtrip.

We’d never been to Midland and stopped in for an event. For starters- we called the day before and we were told an early check in was definitely possible but when we got to town she immediately said not at the time we were told, but she could still get us in early in about an hour and a half. No worries until even then they bumped it back again and made us check in at the actual time. This wouldn’t have been a huge deal if we hadn’t been told it was totally fine originally. The room was tiny. The shades had water stains. One of the lamps didn’t work. There was a weird smell. The doors don’t go all the way to the floor so any noise from the hallway comes in and vice versa. A couple other rooms were using towels to fill the two inch gap so that’s what we did too. The area around it didn’t feel super safe. Not well lit. We checked out as soon as we could in the morning and would not stay there again.

The hotel was really nice and clean. The staff was great, very welcoming and friendly. The only complaint I have is the room is very small and there isn’t a place for storage. There is no cabinets, drawers, closet, nothing. I had to store my bags under the nightstand. The room only had enough space to walk, that’s it. Because of the limited space and no storage, I won’t stay there again. Other than that it’s a great hotel.

TV didn’t work but it was late so not a problem. Great breakfast ..

It was fine. Small. Incredibly small, but I didn't need much more room. I had a hard time locating it by using the address and there is a LOT of construction around the area. But it was clean, quiet, and did the job. The staff was nice and the breakfast was basic. The gym was small. Nothing exciting, but nothing bad.

It's a nice property but the room felt a little cramped and it had a tiny fridge. So it's mostly ideal for short stays

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The AC couldn't keep up at 70 degrees though. It was hot all night in our room.

Our family was in town for a softball tournament, getting to the hotel was confusing with all the closed off roads, Road getting to parking lot from gas station is horrible with huge potholes. Room was small, no closet or storage space. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was decent. Overall, a good stay. Nothing fancy but we just needed a clean place to sleep for a few nights.

We booked our stay for a king size bed and we got 2 standard queen beds. We couldn’t connect to the tv to watch Disney for my baby. The tech came and said he would fix it never heard from him.

Very small room for King size bed. Almost ne room to sit down other than the bed. Remote(s) didn't work. What concerns me the most is there are no exit doors on both sided of the hotel, just in the main entrance area. IMO, this is a fire safety hazard and I'm curious how it got passed in the engineering, planning phase or how it passes fire code.

Great stay, the room was small but cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable.

I liked how patient Cecilia (the front desk) receptionist was with the trouble I was having with my reservation and checkout. What I did not like, is how Michelle (the manager) made smart comments, being loud and exemplified that she totally lacked the understanding and knowledge of what happened, and what exactly needed to be done. Spending over almost $3,000 here within the last 2 months, makes me really upset to be treated in such a manner. I’m extremely disappointed.

Jojo did a great job she was courteous and efficient when checking us in and out as well as the breakfast attendee. Will definitely recommend this property.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Electricity went out three times and the last time no one came to help turn the breaker on and off. We asked for a late checkout due to the fact we were in darkness trying to get ready and they charged us an extra night saying we didn’t leave till 2pm but left at 11:55pm right before check out at 12pm which we were told was fine. I called hotel and Angelica and Michelle Tid were very unprofessional and hateful towards the situation. I asked for a higher up number to get in contact with them and they refused to give that to me. Save your money and your sanity! Will never be back. Also, mold was growing in the restroom and behind the back of the toilet. Beds were uncomfortable too.

Room was super clean. Building was super clean. Staff was very friendly. The pricing was GREAT!!! Overall, a great experience. Will be booking this hotel every time I come to visit

I tried to check in 20 min before check in started. I was told, rather rudely, that there wasn't any rooms ready yet. I came back after 3 pm, to check again. I was told again that there weren't any rooms ready yet. I went somewhere else to stay.

When I checked in there was no hello, welcome, nothing. My card was taken for incidentals and I was not told how much would be charged, anything about breakfast, check out. Nothing. Rude. I only give the rating I did because the girl in the morning was more pleasant. There is parking and the hotel is nice but my room looked like someone has stayed in it or doesn’t know how to clean. Cute concept but once again IHG has let me down. I’m done with them, across several states and the same mediocre, at best, stay.

Only negative is gps took us to wrong location. Once found it was easy to find.

Be careful when you pass the gas station the roads leading to the hotel are damaged and will mess up your vehicle if you aren’t careful aside from that one of the best hotels in Midland

Everything was clean. Rooms set up perfect. Breakfast was a little lacking. I arrived at night and the hotel was not lit up so it was hard to find. I would stay here again.

Great location and rooms but the breakfast could be done a lot better. All the breakfast sandwiches were put out within the first few minutes of the start of breakfast and by the time I came down around 8 AM the sandwiches were dried out and not edible. These items can be heated up to order for guests or put out in groups of ten a time or some such number.

Very nice hotel. Would stay again. For breakfast, my kids missed not having waffles but they did have Jimmy Dean biscuits, cereal, bagels, fruit, yogurt, granola bars and all sorts of juices.

Breakfast area needs improvement. Juice machine and hot water machine didn't work.

I liked it here a lot very cozy. I didn't like breakfast cause who wants to eat a hard biscuits I mean I know I don't!

I’ve not ever stayed at Avid Hotels before but was enticed by the newness of it and its very economical price. I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the hotel. It is so cute and modern with its colorful decor, the lobby is a great space for relaxing or working remotely. Check in was quick and although the front desk staff let us know the tv was broken, the live tv channels were working yay! The room was spacious and had lots of hooks to hang things and two areas to sit and put your shoes as well as hang things up which I liked. Love the Dove brand toiletries too! They also had a black makeup rag which I’ve not seen in a while and makeup wipes AND shoe shine wipes. Breakfast was awesome. I was nervous it’d be basic continental but there were bags of oatmeal with toppings and toppings for yogurt too, lots of different juices and some hot wrapped breakfast sandwiches as well. Coffee is ground fresh each serving at the little coffee bar which also has a still and sparkling water dispenser. Best of all as an IHG rewards member late checkout was at 2. It was a great experience and all the little details went a long way. I will DEFINITELY be staying at Avid Hotels again!

I didn't like the breakfast, Bagels and yogurt were the only food items. Other hotels of this price range have much better breakfasts.
