Spatia Comporta, a Member of Design Hotels

Cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff were ALL wonderful and so helpful. The concierge made multiple bookings for us for all activities and recommended wonderful restaurants. The whatsapp service once you are there is brilliant. The property itself is idyllic, so beautiful and relaxing. The treatments in the spa were excellent. You are also taken everywhere by mini Fiats or golf carts, so super easy to get around the vast property. We also LOVED the bikes. The restaurants on site are wonderful and the breakfast is heavenly! We also did a padel clinic and yoga class (included), both were truly incredible. A special thank you to the front desk, the concierge and to the lovely gentlemen providing pool service too. We will be back in October and many times again. Thank you to everyone at the hotel who made our stay unforgettable.

Our stay at Spatia Comporta was wonderful, largely thanks to the incredible staff. From before arrival, they shared property amenities and activity suggestions, and once we arrived, they took care of everything from arranging car services, handling in-room needs, and even picking up items at the convenience store in town. The property itself made the stay just as special. It never felt crowded (we may have visited just before high season) and the property is set in a quiet, peaceful evergreen forest. It had such a calm, restorative feel. We stayed in one of the Cabanas and loved having our own free-standing accommodations. The outdoor sitting area and shower were welcome touches. The pool was heated and very comfortable, and pool staff were kind and attentive. Breakfast was a highlight every morning. We also had dinner on-site, including at Nesto. Everything we ordered at Nesto was excellent. The staff were friendly and genuinely curious to hear our thoughts. Standouts included the Colada Punch and Hazelnut Old Fashioned cocktails (the best drinks of our trip), the lamb samosas and whole fried seabream. The Salmon Uramaki with peanut butter was an absolute favorite. We had two minor room issues (HVAC and plumbing), but the staff resolved both promptly and sent over a charcuterie plate as a gesture of goodwill. We had great conversations with many of the staff and are already looking forward to coming back!

We had a frustrating experience at Spatia Comporta. The staff were quite rude and unhelpful from the start. We had trouble finding the main entrance, and when we requested a breakfast box- after being offered one as we were leaving early for golf…it was never delivered. We asked to extend checkout by two hours after one staff member told me absolutely another staff member told me they will let would let us know the next day — they never followed up. At noon, we were locked out of our room while trying to retrieve our luggage, which was very inconvenient. This was after a very disappointing breakfast buffet. The hotel is in a remote, desert-like area that’s difficult to navigate, with limited dining options nearby. We ended up dininig at Sublime - Beef Bar for dinner, and that resort felt significantly nicer overall. Would not recommend or return. Unclear how this is a 5 star resort. We had booked their largest suite (21) for about $1000 for one night- truly could not have been more disappointed.

We found Spatia Comporta extremely peaceful, relaxing, & absolutely beautiful. The young staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful especially on the weekend. I was debating between 2 hotels, and felt the images of Spatia Comporta did not quite do justice - in capturing the beautifully landscaped tranquil environment, & level of serenity in all the details - this coming from NYC. The main pool area for adults only was so peaceful I didn’t want to leave. The only recommendation we would suggest is in the bedding. We had come from the Intercontinental & was a little surprised about the harder bed & pillows. Regardless, something about the air & being there allowed for solid sleep & I awoke feeling refreshed, albeit a little sore. I did a morning yoga on our private deck & simply sat in the quiet for a few minutes to truly exhale. I loved it & hope to return.

I honestly cannot even begin to describe how incredible our stay at Spatia Comporta was. Everything was dreamy. Totally worth it. We literally did not leave the property. The restaurant ORA is also fabulous. Staff is beyond helpful and accommodating. Also book a spa treatment with Ginny!!! She is a doll and works magic. Definitely would recommend and will be back! P.S. there are NO ubers/bolts in Comporta if you were planning on leaving Spatia - they can book you transportation, but honestly you probably won’t want to leave once you see how gorg the property is!
