Advertise on this site that it has a spa and gym, but when you get there you get told that there is a nearby spa, but not associated with the hotel so you have to pay This is a bit like advertising a spa then saying the local leisure centre can be used!!

All 4 members of staff were helpful, polite and friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The place was quiet overall (it was a non match day) and I had use of the small gym. We were satisfied with the self service breakfast.

Although the room was of a reasonable standard and the staff were very helpful in all areas I did not feel that the stay warranted the cost (£175 for one night including parking band breakfast for two). On the subject of parking - it was a farce, there was limited availability and a lack of clarity on where you could and couldn’t park. This caused a lot of problems on arrival and cast a bit of a shadow over the stay. I think you are paying for the location here - but ironically we didn’t really want to be there as we were attending a function elsewhere (but that was my mistake). In conclusion, a pleasant hotel but get there early to park!

Nice enough hotel albeit a bit disappointed with the car parking. We had to park at the travel lodge hotel car park across the road which was over £12 for 24 hours.

Hotel was ok but rooms on roadside do get traffic noise due to old not well insulated windows which was an issue for me as a light sleeper. Our room looked good at first glance but there were decorative issues, paint scrapes on wall by bedside cabinet & window sill flaking paint. Insufficient towels provided at check-in plus no TV remote in room - rectified by reception but indicative of general attitude. Reception staff were very helpful & friendly but restaurant team less so and made us feel like an inconvenience - eg first day breakfast advertised to 10.30 am but everything cleared by 10.15 with no courtesy warning. Scrambled egg full of liquid looked horrendous but rest of breakfast was ok. No room tidy unless requested so no toiletry or tea coffee top-up - Replacement items could be requested from reception but feels like hotel is run for convenience of staff not guests. We left a night early as just didn't work for us. Also Blackpool was closed for season so nothing to do without travelling.

The room was in need of decorating. The room was not cleaned for the 4 days we were there. Damp stains on the ceiling, behind the Tv was not painted the room door had a large crack in it. The tv was attached to the wall by 2 2by2 lengths on wood which was longer than the tv. In the bathroom 3 floor tiles were cracked and there was parts missing from the door handle and lock.

Room was very dirty, dusty and cobwebs everywhere. I had 2 kids in my room who were sneazing, no windows to open. The walls had dust allover them. I tried calling them directly via 101 room service and the main hotel number with no luck. The woman on reception didnt ask how our stay was on check out so i didnt want to seem rude and go off on one, as.we had had enough and wanted to leave.

Hotel room was big, very clean and comfortable except the tea tray had a lot of long blonde hairs on it and window wouldn't open. The reception staff and restaurant staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. But we had to ask at reception 3 times to come up and remove hairs and tray . They didn't come up until afternoon of 2nd day while we were out. This is totally unacceptable. A large hotel should have staff to deal with problems after housekeeping leave at 4pm. Breakfast was adequate but horrible sausages and not much choice. Despite the lovely room we wouldn't stay again due to lack of service

Communal areas a bit grubby. No remote control for tv and reception staff could not find a working one. Tried to charge me again when I had already prepaid for the room. Used to be one of my favourite hotels but standards have dropped. Staff were pleasant and breakfast was good.

Dated throughout ,room door didn’t close without force, bathroom door handle broken, room window latch wouldn’t shut, towel holder hanging off, no shower gel, sofa bed bent in middle, asked for towels in the am and had to phone and go to reception in the evening. Bar food nice with good size portions and staff in bar friendly and helpful.

Fabulous one night break. Hotel staff friendly and room epic, overlooking the football club and Blackpool Tower. Beds were comfy and the room was huge. Can’t fault and will absolutely come again.

Take away the pitch view and there’s really nothing special about this hotel, and I definitely wouldn’t say it’s 4 star. The shower screen wasn’t sealed properly so the bathroom floor flooded every time we had a shower, air con didn’t work properly and the bed was very uncomfortable. All in all I’d say it’s very average and wouldn’t stay here again.

Stayed for one night over the weekend in Blackpool. Room is spacious and comfortable, bed was nice. Staff at front desk where super helpful and chatty when i couldn’t sleep and was walking around the hotel, gave me a bit of history of the hotel, city and the club and were personable. Very enjoyable stay, happy with my choice, would stay here again

Hotel is generally ok - room was great size and bed comfortable, bathroom very average. Overall service was poor, particularly on reception. Staff would get in lifts before families with prams. Parking was horrendous and fairly obscene charge for it too.

We had a wonderful stay. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Offered local knowledge of the area and made us feel at ease with the parking and our dogs staying over. Restaurant also very nice. Great views of the football pitch and even Blackpool tower just above the stadium. Breakfast came highly recommended and didnt disappoint. Great location for a dog friendly stay with a park nearby that includes a secure section to allow the dogs off lead for 10 minutes. Housekeeping also did a fantastic job. Place was spotless and smelt lovely too. We were also able to arrange a timeframe for Housekeeping to arrive to ensure we were out with the dogs when they arrived.

Most staff were friendly although the receptionist on shift Sat morning found it hard to speak in a friendly manner. She made it hard for the guests who were asking questions. We were sitting in reception for an hour waiting for the room as it was really busy in the bar due to the match so watched a few guests asking for advice etc - I thought she was very lucky that most of the guests didn’t react to her tone etc.

Reception staff very friendly, room was clean and spacious. Although not many parking spaces for hotel we did manage to get one costing £10 for 24 hrs and were able to just add our registration in the keypad the next morning for extra time free as we knew we were going to be back for car within the 24hrs. It’s about a twenty minute walk to pleasure beach.

Hotel was very nice and staff were excellent and bar and food were great only issue we had was beds were not the most comfortable especially the sofa bed and pillows were poor very flat All in all though we were happy with hotel and service and would recommend to stay here as it's a unique experience looking out on to the football pitch it was also a 5 min walk from sea front and 15 mins from tower but set back enough from sea front to be quite on a night

It was a bit of a walk/bus ride from the train station and located in an area that was a bit run-down, but the property itself was well-maintained, clean, safe and comfortable. We would return. Very comfortable bed, on site restaurant had good food. Breakfast is not included but can be purchased for a small fee (10 pounds).

After booking for Bed and Breakfast, was disappointed to have to pay £3.99p for porridge. Surely porridge is part of the breakfast I had already paid for. Have never had to pay for same in any other hotel we have stayed at. My Wife does not eat fried food so porridge was not an extra for Her. Must say your Staff were polite and friendly without exception.

Good location. Parking on site & nearby. Staff were friendly. Special mention to Amelia & her colleague in the restaurant. Made my son & I feel really welcome. Only thing I’d have liked was a bottle of water or 2 in the room. It was so hot that the tap water was warm. Food in the restaurant was nice & breakfast was good value.
