Very nice hotel! Clean. Beautiful rooftop restaurant. A 20 minute walk from the river and Royal Palace. The pool was nice and clean - but shaded. I didn’t look at that closely when I booked and was disappointed because I wanted to be in the sun. On the plus side, it was breezy up there, so very refreshing on a hot day. The staff was very friendly and friendly I had a really nice stay.

Was a beautiful hotel, the sky bar had a great happy hour and a stunning view. Pool area was kind of interesting with alot of birds and no sun. High pitch noise to keep away the birds was not working. Staff was super kind and friendly. Bed was nice and comfy.

Received a drink on arrival with a cold towel which was a very welcoming gesture. Nice big clean room with good facilities. Loved the table tennis, pool table and swimming pool. Staff were really helpful with everything.

Caught No 3 bus from airport as hotel was only a short walk from Stop 30. Really nice hotel with lovely pool, spa and well equipped fitness area. Was able to check in early after overnight flight and was upgraded to larger room with balcony. Room was very big and so was the bathroom, with separate large shower and bath. Room was serviced each day and it was good to see that they didn't change towels everyday (only on request). Breakfast was really good, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, breads/pastries, salad vegetables, nuts, hot food (could have been kept a little hotter), omelette bar and noodle bar, coffee machines but only Lipton's tea 🙁. Hotel is in a good location, not noisy at night and walking distance to museum, palace, river, central and night markets and a number of temples. Didn't need a tuktuk to get anywhere. Lots of good eating places nearby especially heading towards the river. Beds was large and comfortable with plenty of good pillows and the wifi worked well. They even provided a USB charging bank, so didn't need adaptors. Glad I booked there rather than hotel I am now at on a group tour which is way out near the Olympic Stadium, with lots of motor bike shops and few decent eating places nearby.

Everything was great from the attentive, doormen, front desk and restaurant staff. Hotel was clean, modern, secure and very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was above average, considering it was included. Particularly enjoyed the coffee made fresh for every cup. decent massage facility on site, as well as a rooftop restaurant and lounge with excellent views. Room was made up every day and kept quite tidy for me so extra points for the housekeepers. Con: lots of pigeons around the pool and hot tub area. More concern should be taken for the bird poop as everyone knows it creates an E. coli problem in the water.

Bread at breakfast is stale. Fruits not replenished. Asked desk to heat up the hitting at the swimming as we wanted to use it in an hour. Nobody came to turn the hot tub on. Have to wait for another hour before the tub is hot enough.

Very welcoming and friendly staff, hotel very well presented and very calming, the sky bar itself the food and staff were amazing, very happy with our stay, and will always come back if we touch down in Cambodia. The not so good part was the pool maintainance, the deck chairs needs fixing, some chairs are missing parts of its legs, the mirrors around the bottom of pool area must be cleaned more often, other than that everything else is very good. Nice hotel with easy access to locations and staff are friendly. Would say all facilities are good except for the pool area which has lots of pigeons around with bird droppings around the edges and in pool (could be easily managed with good cleaning and prevention techniques), so did not want to go swimming. Never tried the spa or sauna but looked like a good setup.

Evaluation Hotel Poulo Wai, Phnom Penh Cambodia Mar 2 – Mar 26/2024 Pros Beautiful new modern hotel with all amenities Amazing staff, trying to satisfy all your needs Good location an old part of City Cleanliness of this property priority for staff. We like prices, happy hours and very fresh products on Roof restaurant, including nice view. Two very good restaurants right across of street Cons Medium size rooms with one cloth closet only. We could not unpack two luggage’s of clothing, needed for our 24 days stay. Breakfast for this type of hotel is totally unacceptable. Quite a simple menu, i.e. cold buffet table only with one type of the cheese and one cold cut of meat balls during all 24 days of our stay. From our travel experience, comparable hotels have much better and wider selection. Positive side is again very fresh products used. This hotel is a building(s) only, no other property, i.e. garden. Neutral Medium size pool with crystal clear water, and about 20 seats, compressed with three walls adjacent buildings, frequently “visited” by pigeons.

Please clean up the balcony. Leave lots of footprint when I enter to room from balcony and I must clean the room by bath towel. Don't just say thank you about my comments but please go over it carefully. Great location and amazing facility for the price and perfect staffs, But must clean up the balcony carefully, I already booked lots of room for my friends on end of next months. Hope to see improved cleaning condition.

Great location, younger staff were wonderful. Cleaning lady was nice but forgot certain things. They left dirty dishes in the hall way for days. Breakfast was ok, omelet station guys just kept messing things up 2 days in a row. Their "kitchen" isn't really a kitchen without any cooking materials, just stoves. They couldn't even break my $20. Overall disappointing enough, I moved to a different hotel nearby.

Was off to a good start when I arrived. Got upgraded to a executive suite that was huge! Everything looks fancy at first glance. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. First night I was woken by a cockroach running down my arm. I managed to kill it & hardly slept the rest of the night. The guy at the front desk was very apologetic and gave me another room, also an executive suite. The new room unfortunately also had cockroaches. I was completely paranoid so I kept all my belongings firmly locked in my suitcase. Especially last night was bad. I used the wooden tissue box to kill several cockroaches. And they were big! About 2/3 of an inch. I stayed 4 nights. On the first and the last night there was no warm water in the shower. And I had it running for more than 10 minutes. On the third day the toilet stopped working. It couldn’t flush but it was fixed during the day though. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. When I was checking out the front desk guy wouldn’t let me leave the hotel before the room was checked. Excuse me mate… I have a taxi waiting and the only thing you’ll find in the room are all the dead cockroaches all over the floor that I managed to kill. I was so not waiting for that. On the plus side: Most staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was huge. The man at the ‘egg station’ was extremely pleasant. It was ok centrally located. I got 2 bottles of water in the room every day.

An excellent hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. Everything about the hotel was good, including the cleanliness of the rooms, the lobby, the pool, the corridors etc. The street and nearby streets could have been cleaner; we chose to walk to the various sites and to find restaurants, but there were plenty of tuk tuks available if we had chosen to use them. Breakfast was a generous buffet, with Western and Eastern options, but the croissants didn't taste fresh.
An excellent hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. Everything about the hotel was good, including the cleanliness of the rooms, the lobby, the pool, the corridors etc. The street and nearby streets could have been cleaner; we chose to walk to the various sites and to find restaurants, but there were plenty of tuk tuks available if we had chosen to use them. This was one of best hotels I have stayed in! The staff are exceptional - friendly, efficient and professional. They gave us a wonderful surprise when we entered our room, they had thoughtfully decorated it in honour of our significant wedding anniversary. The room and the hotel was spotless and its location was excellent. I look forward to returning here again.and tge hotel was

Property was very nicely appointed. Room was comfortable and clean. The bed was a little hard but that’s just a personal preference. Breakfast choices were good. Loved the views from the rooftop bar. Also enjoyed dinners there. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Caught No 3 bus from airport as hotel was only a short walk from Stop 30. Really nice hotel with lovely pool, spa and well equipped fitness area. Was able to check in early after overnight flight and was upgraded to larger room with balcony. Room was very big and so was the bathroom, with separate large shower and bath. Room was serviced each day and it was good to see that they didn't change towels everyday (only on request). Breakfast was really good, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, breads/pastries, salad vegetables, nuts, hot food (could have been kept a little hotter), omelette bar and noodle bar, coffee machines but only Lipton's tea 🙁. Hotel is in a good location, not noisy at night and walking distance to museum, palace, river, central and night markets and a number of temples. Didn't need a tuktuk to get anywhere. Lots of good eating places nearby especially heading towards the river. Beds was large and comfortable with plenty of good pillows and the wifi worked well. They even provided a USB charging bank, so didn't need adaptors. Glad I booked there rather than hotel I am now at on a group tour which is way out near the Olympic Stadium, with lots of motor bike shops and few decent eating places nearby.

Some struggle with check in as reception had put hotels orders in folder with bookinfs orders but was quickly sorted. My company was a local friend, so every evening it was a struggle to leave id cards and so forth even it was the same friend every day.. Great location and easy access to most things.

Loved our experience checking in - facility was beautiful and staff were helpful. Our room was very well appointed and the rooftop bar was great. Slightly annoying check out procedure - we had an early bus to catch, but they had us wait around, I think while they checked our room? The neighbourhood lacked a bit of life, as well, and felt slightly seedy. No issues with noise, though, and we felt very safe and welcome in the hotel. Would stay again.

The staff are professional. The breakfast was delicious. Staff bent over backwards for guests. The sky bar was perfect. The gym is a little stuffy but adequate. The pool is beautiful. There are small shops across the street where money can be changed, bottled water can be purchased, and snacks can be obtained. It is a good location if you are going to an event at the Medical University. I travel a bit. This is a superb hotel for the price we paid. I can’t rave enough.

Was off to a good start when I arrived. Got upgraded to a executive suite that was huge! Everything looks fancy at first glance. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. First night I was woken by a cockroach running down my arm. I managed to kill it & hardly slept the rest of the night. The guy at the front desk was very apologetic and gave me another room, also an executive suite. The new room unfortunately also had cockroaches. I was completely paranoid so I kept all my belongings firmly locked in my suitcase. Especially last night was bad. I used the wooden tissue box to kill several cockroaches. And they were big! About 2/3 of an inch. I stayed 4 nights. On the first and the last night there was no warm water in the shower. And I had it running for more than 10 minutes. On the third day the toilet stopped working. It couldn’t flush but it was fixed during the day though. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. When I was checking out the front desk guy wouldn’t let me leave the hotel before the room was checked. Excuse me mate… I have a taxi waiting and the only thing you’ll find in the room are all the dead cockroaches all over the floor that I managed to kill. I was so not waiting for that. On the plus side: Most staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was huge. The man at the ‘egg station’ was extremely pleasant. It was ok centrally located. I got 2 bottles of water in the room every day.

The hotel is a diamond in the rough. It's very nice. I enjoyed the gym and the pool. The staff spoke English and were very happy to help me. I give the staff 5 stars. I say the hotel is a diamond in the rough because the surrounding areas are dirty and not easy to find a decent restaurant.

Bread at breakfast is stale. Fruits not replenished. Asked desk to heat up the hitting at the swimming as we wanted to use it in an hour. Nobody came to turn the hot tub on. Have to wait for another hour before the tub is hot enough.

We were greeted royally every time we arrived at the front door. Breakfast was excellent, Sky bar gave a magificent view. The only negative (and i comment hesitantly because they are minor) was that the shower was not very hot in the mornings and i failed to receive a booked early morning call on the day of departure. Fortunately my cellphone did the job. Otherwise this is an exceptional property.

Very pleasant hotel in central Phnom Penh with a great view of the city from the rooftop bar. Nice food, good breakfast selection and dinner menu. Very courteous staff. Easy access to the city using the local tuk-tuks. Pool was a little chilly.

We booked this hotel on short notice after finding that the hotel we originally had booked had awful reviews. As a replacement this was great, the room was huge and had a nice bath. The staff were really helpful and helped us to sort a later check out.

I am all about clean, modern and spacious room - This hotel offers that. The rooms were spacious and modern. Lobby atmosphere was inviting and clean. Very convenient to everything. A local family member told me that the area can get rowdy which could lead to be unsafe. But we didn’t feel unsafe. We walked around the area, shopped and went to restaurants in the area.
