Pickering Casino Resort

Large comfortable room, beautiful well maintained pool area but pool is small. Very limited parking near entrance to hotel and parkade is a long walk with many, many handicapped spaces near the doors ( at least 4 rows of only handicapped spaces) and signage is confusing. No onsite restaurants - only "food court" type dining.

Clean & spacious room. Staff is very friendly, pool is small but warm, nice hot tub, sauna too! Steam room was out of order. Also a gym good amenities

It would be nice, if real dishware, e.g. mugs for expresso coffee can be used instead of paper cups. Another, it would be nice for staff to state the pool towels are in the closet, I wasn't informed. Although the staff was nice to offer to bring them to me from the room. Other than that I love staying at the hotel. Thank you!

There are approximately 18 chargers available for electric cars, but their prices are inflated to $2.50 per hour because of the casino. So, forget about charging your car overnight.

Very nice place, super huge lobby, because it is a casino and has an amphitheatre too. Kind of sad though...I find casinos to be very sad places (and I don't gamble, but the amenities were nice, good quality price combo). It also had a mini food court inside.

Staff was extremely friendly and room was exceptionally clean. Parking lot isn’t convenient if travelling with children. The main entrance is the only entrance that children can use and the parking lot is behind the hotel

Hotel is very clean and quiet. Pool is small but we were the only ones using it. Water is the perfect temperature and the hot tub was very relaxing. My only complaint is the parking garage. 3 huge rows on both levels for accessible parking. The first day we parked I drove around for a good 10 minutes on the top level to find the exit. They have “way out” signs that just lead you in circles. They really need to put clear exit signs

The gym facility is extremely underwhelming but the hotel as a whole was great service, cleanliness, etc. Would be nice to have an actual accessible restaurant for sitting down when staying with minors (similar to casino rama)

They have 280 rooms and a pool with a max of 20 person and you have to reserve to get a pool time, even with that you arent garauntied to get any pool time that was disapointing because there isnt much for kids to do other than that. and also if you bring your pet they charge you 100 dollars a night not 50 like it says on the website

Clean room

Unfortunately my room wasnt cleaned very well. The bathroom floor was dirty and there was dirt under the tissues in the bathroom. The bathroom counter was filthy.

The room wasn’t cleaned properly. Hair in shower stains on pillow cases. I have stayed here before and no problem this time was definitely different

The place looks beautiful and the room was very spacious. It needed more cleaning tho. I found a broken nail from the previous occupants under the sheets. We didn’t get enough toilet paper. The body wash bottle was empty as well. Everything else was okay. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The tv in my room didn’t work

Everything was great as usual. Stayed in a corner suite. Always a great view, lots of room. Hotel rooms are going to need some upgrades soon I believe. We stay here once a month, always a corner suite. Lately I find the beds a bit worn. Lamp was broken in one room. Chair had a loose leg in another room. Nothing a little update wouldn’t take care of. Staff of course is always fantastic! The Arena is an excellent venue. Lots of food choices at the casino. Always a great stay.

Nice clean big room. Staff friendly. Location right off the 401 and close to The thermal Experience in Whitby and close to the shopping mall in Pickering.

No Microwave!

Internet was not useful as it sporadically worked.

Spacious clean rooms

Room was clean, staff were courteous and friendly. Walls are very thin though, can hear conversations in the hallway crystal clear.

Overall, very good room, but nothing around the area really that’s great No real good TV or entertainment options I get that they want you to go to the casino, but there should be an option

Area of room is good ,clean nicely but behaviour of front desk is very disappointing they blame us for missing towels in other word steeling,which I can’t tolerate,the people who spend so much money to book room can’t afford towels.at the end they say this time they would do wave off will not do it again .i will never come this hotel this is first and last visit to this hotel .

The front desk staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Excellent and courteous service.

Staff was very helpful. There was a hockey tournament at the hotel and reception placed us in a room very far from them. I appreciated that. The room was very clean.

My family and I booked the suite at Pickering Casino Resort because we were in town for a Cheer competition. The hotel itself is nice but we noticed it smelt like smoke in the common areas. The customer service here I also lacking - I had called down to ask if we could have late check out and the receptionist who answered rudely replied with “no, we’re too busy”. Next time I won’t be staying here and I’ll try another hotel

Very loud heating in rooms. Front desk young lady at check out seemed uninterested with the service part of customer service. Just to get a receipt was challenging. And the front desk gentleman beside the young lady seemed to be ok with it and kept giving excuses and why receipts are hard to come by at this hotel. The highlight was the reception you will receive by the doorwoman and man. Warm and always with a smile.

Cleanliness, and staff that were not management were great kind and easy going night managers was rude

I rarely leave one-star reviews, but this felt necessary. This morning (Monday) around 10:00 a.m., I went to the front desk to ask about breakfast options and was told I could order to my room. When I then requested a late checkout to make that possible, one agent immediately said no without checking the system, and another gave a scowl and eye roll. When I asked if the hotel was truly at capacity (without anyone looking), I was told yes. If I’m being honest the whole experience felt like a high school mean girl situation. I packed and checked out by 10:15 a.m. these two ladies were no longer at the front desk, and as I was curious, I inquired again and the gentleman who helped me then checked the system and said a 12:00 p.m. checkout would have been possible, with an hourly fee after that. The inconsistency, paired with the dismissive tone, was really disappointing. A quick system check and a courteous explanation would have made all the difference. For context, I travel frequently for work and stay in many hotels. Mondays, especially are generally quieter nights and I find it hard to believe that this resort, with its location is sold out this particular Monday evening. I know small accommodations can transform a guest’s experience. I was fully willing to purchase breakfast at the hotel’s premium pricing and to pay a late checkout fee. The issue wasn’t the policy—it was the unwillingness to check and the unwelcoming attitude.

Great staff. Door man was incredible with us and our kids!

We flew in from the Dominican Republic on Sunday night and, rather than driving in a storm, decided to stay overnight at Pickering Casino Resort. Despite being delayed by unforeseen circumstances, the front desk team was incredible in keeping in contact with us and making sure our arrival went smoothly. A special shoutout to Jimmy at the front desk—he was super kind, courteous, and welcoming. He upgraded our room, answered all our questions, and truly made us feel valued as guests. The room itself was beautiful, clean, warm, and the perfect place to rest after a long day. We grabbed a quick bite from Zio’s, the 24-hour pizza restaurant, and ordered a Hawaiian pizza to go—enjoyed it comfortably in our room. Another shoutout goes to Robert, whose kindness and courtesy added a bright spot to our day. It’s clear that both Jimmy and Robert genuinely enjoy their jobs, and their hospitality made our stay memorable. Highly recommend Pickering Casino Resort, especially for anyone traveling in challenging conditions—staff like this make all the difference!

Poor signage directing you to hotel when entering grounds.

Clean and quiet stay on a Monday night. Staff were so lovely. Parking lot signage is a bit weird - drive to the back of the building, where there is a parking garage.

The surrounding areas are quiet/ dark at night and still developing. Indoor parking has confusing signs for up / down and exits. They may add clear signage for drivers for up/ down. Room was nice. The hotel looks huge.

Really great hotel but pretty remote. Perfect if going to the casino or theatre.

Parking and hotel lobby are hundreds o yards apart. Ver difficult if you have health issues. Signage was not helpful when you arrive for the first time.

The hotel room was large, nicely decorated & clean. The location was convenient for us. At booking we were informed that the pool was temporarily closed & not informed that it had opened. The dining options are very limited.

The hotel was very nice. Good value and lots of restaurant options that were open late. Only stayed one night but will be back for a longer stay. Convenient location for accessing events in Toronto without the traffic and other problems with being right in the city.

The staff at hotel Casino staff were Amazing!! very helpful and accommodating . The pillows and beds were very comfortable . What I didn’t like was that there wasn’t a microwave to heat your food up in the room. I order food fro the restaurant I found the food not that great from the restaurant . I ordered the burger sliders they were dry and over cooked and chicken wings they tasted like they were not fresh on the verge of not being ok .

The moment we got there, the front desk was amazing! Super friendly and accomodating. The rooms are large and clean, hotel is very nice. The Starbucks and food court are a bonus. we will definitely be back!
