Tru By Hilton St. Petersburg Downtown Central Ave, FL

Everything about the property was wonderful save for limited parking options as there is only Valet parking which was $30 a day which is expensive even with a shuttle that would take you only 2.5 miles away. Otherwise you can park on the street but would have to move your car every two hours.

This is a great location and the staff were super friendly. The gym was nice - I wish I could have gotten the Peloton to work. Fresh fruits and hot options for breakfast. Lots if restaurants nearby. Dog friendly. :)

This is a basic hotel but a very good value for the price. It's in a great location and is very clean. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. There is a small, but well equipped gym. Breakfast was OK

I didn't like the $40 valet parking or limited self parking for a few, that was not on the details when I booked this hotel.

Every is new and clean. Rooftop seating area. Wish there was a bar but will bring our own next time.

Professional and friendly staff. No parking and they charge a lot for valet parking (not advertised). The other guests had extremely loud music playing into early morning hours with no hotel staff intervening. And the "pool" is about 12 inches deep and is not kid/user friendly for any sort of swimming (also sort of misrepresented). Lastly, the hotel rooms smelled of smoke as did the elevators, which was less than desirable.

Property seem newly renovated. Nice big lobby with city view. comfortable seating and a few pool tables . Snacks to purchase . nice outdoor area. Very relaxiing.

A free shuttle was included to restaurants in the ward/downtown area. Valet parking was mandatory. when we arrived 3 attendants were standing around. None of them offered any assistance with baggage. We are seniors.

The hotel is perfectly located. We walked everywhere. When it was raining, we were offered a free car service to a local restaurant. The free breakfast was great! The only drawback is the small, extremely shallow pool.

Expect to pay $40 a night to park at the hotel, it is not complimentary and the king room is smaller than I expected but other than that property was nice and clean and has small shops in walking distance.

The room smelled moldy, the mini fridge didn’t seem like it worked (barely cooled). I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with kids. Parking options were limited to $40 per day valet or city parking at $11/day of which we had to wake up at 5 am to re up since we couldn’t do it longer than 12 hours. It’s so inconvenient to unload kids and everything right there for the valet service and then having to have them get your car everytime you need something or going somewhere with the car because you had kids and need car seats and at such a steep price. I personally won’t be returning here.

Stayed one night my girlfriend and I both woke up with a bunch of bug bites. Besides that it wasn’t terrible

Probably is not well maintained. Mold in bathrooms and hallways look dirty

Tru is a nice property good customer service clean only problem I had few roaches in my room and that didn’t make me happy overall my experience was good they just need to possibly spray or get exterminator on a regular to just spray around in the rooms.

Hard for me to draw down on what I liked about this hotel. My college dorm room was better than this hotel room. The place was absolutely disgusting. Dirt, hair bodily fluids dried up on the floor. So guess they didn’t mop or sanitise the place. Bed linen clean but not ironed.

When I came in, and I went to my room, it was absolutely filthy. The floor had hair on it. The bathroom was used. Everything was dirty. I went to the front desk. They were not accommodating. I could not believe it. One elevator was working. There were so many issues and they would not honor a refund. I am a Hilton Honors member I have Never experienced this at any of the other hotels, and I had to become a Hyatt member which saddened me I had been with you guys for years.

Had bed bugs in the bed

The room and hotel were clean and quiet. I enjoyed some time on the roof top terrace. I parked in a nearby lot instead of using the valet parking. It costs less, and makes it easier to make trips to the car, but is a bit of a pain to renew if staying two nights.

Awakened overnight by a roach crawling on my arm. Staff said the manager would call me the same day I checked out, but no call. Courtesy desk employee did not inform us at check-in that they offer free shuttle service. When we did find out, the Courtesy desk person forgot to contact the driver so we waited half an hour. The valet parking was excellent.

Great hotel, great staff. Rooms were clean and modern, but a bit tight, no closet space. No self parking available, only valet.

The pillows are horrible! Would have given 5 stars but pillows are important for restful sleep. These pillows had no shape or support. The hotel layout is nice, the workout area is great and the sundeck is very clean and convenient. Great location.

Small rooms. Surprised there was a small fridge but no microwave. Appreciate the fact that animals are allowed but $75 pet fee seems a bit excessive. Otherwise a great location. Very friendly staff.

Hotel is fairly new and has a good location in St Pete, close to restaurants and bars. Breakfast was okay. The cons (reasons I will not be returning): - You have to valet park and pay for it - Front desk staff both at check-in and check-out were dry and clearly do not enjoy their work (looked like they just wanted their shift to be over and were having negative small talk in front of guests, respectively) - Room was very small - It rained and the exterior common area by my room was flooded, could not use

Nice hotel, but HORRIBLE water pressure. It took forever to rinse my hair.

I would like to take a moment to provide feedback regarding my recent stay at Tru By Hilton St Petersburg Downtown While I must commend the staff for their exceptional service, I unfortunately had a rather uncomfortable experience due to the condition of the mattresses in my room. They appeared to have several dips and sunk in many places, which made it difficult for me to get a good night's sleep. I found myself having to sleep on the edge of the mattress, which was not ideal. Given this experience, I regret to say that I cannot recommend this hotel based on my stay. I believe that addressing the mattress issue could significantly improve the comfort for future guests.

Parking is an extra $30 or you are stuck with a 2 hour limit on street parking (11pm to 8am excluded) I went to check in At 315pm and had to wait 30 mins for room to be ready. Staff at check in were average. The single member of staff at check out was great. Room was clean, bed was comfy, even on the 6th floor the noise from traffic seemed super loud at times. Expensive for one night.

I thought the room was not impressive for the amount of money that I spent. It was very bland and did not even have drawer space for my clothes

This place is great for travelers that love nightlife, and a downtown experience. I however, was traveling for business and found it too loud for the needs of my stay. Parking was somewhat inconvenient, there is street parking that is monitored in 2 hour increments or valet parking for a fee. The guys at the valet stand are great and provided me the best customer service of the entire visit. The walls of the room are fairly thin, and street noise from local nightlife created a vibrant auditory experience that doesn’t lend itself to late sleepers or early morning risers. There is a grocery store, corner store, and great restaurants within walking distance. I would return to this hotel if staying for a fun getaway, just not for business again.

This place has a terrible odor. Smells like weed on the 1st floor, and just musty and bad cologne on the 3rd and 4th floors. The water won’t get hot and the WiFi doesn’t work.

The stay was great however Maribeth was the better, she made it better. She is the very best in hospitality, and goes above and beyond! I can’t wait to stay again and say hi!

Marybeth at front desk was friendly and exceptionally helpful with check-in and extending our reservation when we decided to stay longer. For parking, this property has only valet parking, and surprised me how quick and convenient the valet staff were... also very friendly.

Half of the staff we worked with was pleasant but the others we encountered were unhappy answering questions and seemed to have had a bad attitude. The only parking for the hotel is $40 vallet. Area was nice and room was clean. Just the staff and amenities could have been better.

I booked from tuesday until friday. Everything was fine until today. Valet parking Was having trouble trying to locate my vehicle. Onr guy was acting very unprofessional with no respect. Not only with me but others who asked him a question. When somebody asks him a question he will walk off as if he did not have time to answer questions. No class at all! When He could not find my vehicle. He handed me my keys as if I need to find it myself. But the other guy that was working with him today. Help me locate my car. That other guy needs to be FIRED!!

I booked this thru Expedia at 8:30am for that night. At 2:30pm, I called the hotel directly, confirmed the reservation, asked for my daughter to be added to the reservation card since she would arrive before me, and got information about parking. At 5pm, after my daughter drive 1.5 hours to the hotel, she arrived finding out that the hotel cancelled our reservations due to “Expedia selling rooms they don’t have.” I called the hotel and reminded them that I had confirmed the reservation at 2:30 (a few hours earlier). The hotel never contacted me or Expedia to tell is about the cancellation. The front desk supervisor started to yell “you can’t prove that you called and confirmed!! You don’t have the name of the person who you supposedly talked to!” I asked the hotel employee her name and she started to yell louder “I DONT HABE TO TELL YOU MY NAME!! DONT CALL BACK YOU DONT HAVE A ROOM” I truly encourage Hilton Management to listen to the recording of the call 5/27/2023 @ 6:15 pm. I called Expedia and had a very nice customer service experience. She called the hotel and talked to the same front desk supervisor who yelled at her as all. I am asking that Hilton to look into this situation and please take disciplinary action with the employee who was rude to my daughter (on her birthday), and who yelled at me and expedia Customer support person. Thank you!!

Valet didn’t show up for shift. Manager didn’t help. About 15 clients couldn’t get cars for most of an hour. Still got charged for valet parking! Need self park option

Amazing staff

All of the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The space is modern with fun decor. The available morning breakfast and 24/7 coffee/tea were both really nice. It’s a close walk to Central Ave and easy to navigate nearby areas/public transportation. Overall I really enjoyed this stay for 2 nights; felt safe and comfortable the entire time!

The hotel is nice close to 275 so noisy with highway noise. A light sleeper I would stay south of it. Live in a quiet neighborhood now but lived right behind there for 4 years, but we have a lot more traffic now. Hotel is very nice though. I would tell you guys to check into Earth Breeze for people that qant to do laundry, great eco-friendly compay. Liked my stay I would have noise machines in rooms though.

The hotel is conveniently located in downtown, within walkable distance of the shops and restaurants.

I didn’t feel totally safe staying in this area by myself on a business trip. The hotel itself was OK. They have a large snack bar but you need to DoorDash dinner. Parking onsite is great. The gym is small but nice.

Great location for going to the Rays baseball game only 2 blocks away

Breakfast service times were terrible. Breakfast itself was not very good. No plates one morning, had to use a bowl to eat eggs and sausage.

It was amazing! clean rooms, fabulous breakfast and a cool pancake maker. Whole stay was so so nice!

Hotel is quite new. Rooms are comfortable but basic. Housekeeping only come after 5th night unless you request the night before. Breakfast is basic and is on paper plates with plastic cutlery

Free breakfast well exceeded my expectations. Very friendly service! We will be back
