Vackert hotell i ett nytt intressant område i staden. Och ett måste är poolen högst upp i byggnaden. Amazing. Och vi gillade upplägget frukosten, med ett torn av läckerheter. Enkel parkering och vår hund var välkommen att bo med oss på rummet.

Wonderful hotel, modern clean rooms. The pool is amazing and the view from pool is wonderful. Had dinner in the restaurant it was exceptional, we had the fish soup, one of the best meals I’ve had in Europe.

Check-in and out went very smoothly. Room, pool, and sauna were excellent. Cleaning staff and restaurant staff during breakfast were lovely and helpful. You can walk to almost anything you wish and it’s very conveniently located for visiting the Christkindelsmarkt. We would definitely stay here again!

Overall this was the best choice for us. This hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly. In the heart of the city and it is very clean. There was no dust anywhere in the room. Not sure how this is not a 5 star hotel.

This is a (bad) “concept” hotel. If you like modern minimalism, this is your place: dark hallways, tiny single elevator, no refrigerator, no coffee maker, half-working air conditioning, IKEA furniture, no dresser, no Netflix/ROKU, etc. Cleaning is minimal: floors in room and common hallway are dirty. Walls are rough concrete. Floors are concrete and thin veneer wood at best (they claim they are wood, but….) Our superior twin room offered waterfall glass between bathroom and bedroom; if privacy is your thing, this is not it. Overall, it’s maybe a 3-star hotel, but priced as a 5-star. There are many better choices for a true hotel in the area (for less money) though you may have to add a few steps on your Apple Watch. We were able to get out of our second night in this “prison-like” hotel by posting negative reviews online. Talking to the management in the first place was useless. The management are young and pretty pompous/arrogant - not much on the client coming first - they spend their time telling you you should have carefully read what is advertised online. They will tell you they have no stars and they are a concept. Yup. For $375/night I expect a coffee maker and a fridge, let alone a clean room. The lobby is crowded with people pigging the free wi-fi, so don’t be fooled by that. They aren’t staying there. The furniture they claim is hand made locally. Yup. No. The toilet (not listed on their website but actually the room had one - whew) and tiny shower did work….

We stayed at the Karl August Hotel based on location and modern facilities but we’re disappointed. We got 2 rooms and the rooms are extremely small and the air conditioning did not work at all. We got a poor nights sleep as our rooms were hot! If you’re looking for a hotel with A/C please look elsewhere.

If you like the room cool in the non-winter months, skip this hotel. The A/C would not go lower than 22.5 degrees even though you can set it at 19...which it never cooled to that temp, even after 2 days with the curtains and drapes shut. There is no phone in the room, you have to communicate via Whatsapp which can take some time. There towels are sparse and thin, and no washcloths. BYO toiletries as there are none if you forgot anything. Also there are no additional locks on the room doors and the access to the stairwells are wide open so literally anyone can walk to any floor. Also the team at the restaurant is quite rude.

I did not realize breakfast was included, but very pleased! So much was included: Bread basket, coffee, oj, spreads, meat and cheese, yogurt and fruit cup. Then eggs to order and bacon. Go hungry! We also received two vouchers for the cafe for a coffee or water. Very quiet rooms. Bathroom floor was heated! Plenty of space in both room and bathroom. Soap, shampoo and body wash included from dispensers.

Lovely quiet corner of Nuremberg. Courteous and helpful staff. Room felt a bit sparse and there was no kettle or hot drink facilities, no room service and no concierge. The breakfast selection was a bit basic too. Overall though a good stay and nice bed - would use again.

The location on this property is excellent, literally less than a block to the Christmas Market and old town shopping. Also, it was very clean. The parking is close but a little hard to get to when the streets are closed for the market, and our front desk person couldn’t tell us how to get there. She just gave us the name of the garage. But, Waze didn’t account for the closures so basically we just circled for several blocks in heavy foot traffic until we found the entrance. Frustrating. No mini fridge in the room, and the hotel does not have land line access so there are no phones in the rooms to reach the front desk. For what we paid, we felt the hotel was a little lacking in basic amenities. The on site coffee shop is nice.

The train for the city went on strike…. Making us delayed over 7 hours. We called the hotel for help( a shuttle??? an idea???? Nothing. That little oversight added 600 US dollars to the trip. No room service and a lot of attitude.

This was a very nice hotel in a great location! The front desk staff was terrific and the coffee shop is great. The bar is outstanding with nice bartenders and terrific, inexpensive drinks. The big minus was breakfast—expensive for very little. Just a small plate with a few cold cuts and a couple pieces of dry cheese. Cold coffee and warm orange juice. The menu said eggs, but none came and none were offered. Even worse is that the service was horrible—a very unpleasant hostess grudgingly seated me and once she slapped my plate down, she was never seen again. I loved this hotel, but the breakfast was unfathomably bad which is unfortunate because it spoiled what could have been an awesome experience. Recommend hotel, but by all means skip breakfast!

Das Hotel war wirklich super und wir hatten eine gute Zeit. Der Pool ist sensationell und die Lage top. Einzig die Brasserie Nitz war vom Service teilweise fragwürdig. Wir waren abends noch in der Bar, ca. eine halbe Stunde bevor diese geschlossen hat. Uns wurde gesagt, dass es nur noch Bier und Wein gibt. Fein für uns, es wirft dann allerdings Fragen auf wenn andere Gäste (nach uns) noch Cocktails und Longdrinks bekommen. Gleiches beim Frühstück: der eine Tisch bekommt direkt Karaffen mit Wasser und Orangensaft, uns wird es proaktiv nicht angeboten. Es scheint, als ob hier beim Servicepersonal kein Standard herrscht. Beim Frühstück bekommt man außerdem eine Etagere und kann aus verschiedenen Eierspeisen auswählen. Süße Eierspeisen wie beispielsweise Pancakes müssen allerdings extra bezahlt werden. Kenne ich aus Hotels dieser Preisklasse so ehrlicherweise nicht.

The visit started with a lovely email directing us to make some important restaurant reservations with recommendations for where to dine. Upon arrival (very early), the front desk staff kindly sowed our luggage, and before we returned they moved them to our room for u. The front desk staff is excellent and the room was cozy and comfortable with unique features

We absolutely loved this hotel and will definitely be back if we are ever in the area. However, I suggest not purchasing the breakfast. It was very over priced and the service was very slow even by European standards. There are plenty of other alternatives conveniently located near the hotel – one being the cafe connected to it.

EUR 24 per person, we are 2 ppl so EUR 48 for a set menu serving on a tower tray, one basket of bread 3-4 pcs with jam & butter, 3 small pcs of cold meat, 3-4 small pcs of cheese per person and a few pcs of pepperoni and cucumbers, one muesli in a cup and mixed fruited in a cup for each, u can choose one hot egg dish, caffe and juice. Breakfast Service is a slow. Otherwise, the hotel is good

Utrolig bra hotell midt i sentrum. Kan anbefales på det sterkeste. Flott Spa anlegg i toppetasjen. Det som trekker ned er frokosten. Den er alt for dyr og ikke god. Et rart konsept hvor det ikke er buffé, men ala carte. Heldigvis er det en frokostbar ved inngangen til hotellet hbir du får kjøpt god frokost til 1/4 av prisen av det hotellet tar.

Vriendelijk personeel en de kamers waren schoon. Ook het zwembad en de sauna waren prima. Ontbijt viel echter tegen. Ik had een buffet verwacht. Echter kregen we iets voorgeschoteld waar we de helft niet lekker vonden. Het was ook veel te weinig voor de prijs. Ik kies graag zelf wat ik eet voor ontbijt. Ik ben daarna met mij zoon ergens anders gaan ontbijten want mijn zoon van 9 vond niets lekker en 4 plakjes worst voor 2 personen is wel erg weinig. Verder was de keuze aan kaas niet mijn smaak. Aangezien een lekker ontbijt buffet iets is waar ik naar uitkijk bij een verblijf in een hotel, is dit zeker een reden om hier niet meer terug te komen. Erg jammer want de rest was prima.

First class hotel in a perfect location, at the heart of everything. Beautiful modern room. I had a balcony, which was well worth the extra expense. The pool and spa facilities are superb for relaxing. Breakfast is unique, with a personal buffet brought to your table plus whatever you would like to order. Helpful staff, lovely common areas. Perfect.
