Hotel Ta' Cenc & Spa

It was our second time at the hotel and we even got to stay in the same room. Although the decor may be a little bit dated in the bathroom, the overall impression of the place is one of great comfort and charm. The public areas of very well appointed and inviting. The heated pool is such an additional bonus. The staff is wonderful, the food terrific and the surroundings simply stunning.

Ta Cenc still has its unique style and relaxing atmosphere. There are designated areas for families and adults only. It most definitely is not a theme park!

Hôtel de grande qualité à taille humaine permettant de respecter la tranquillité de chacun. En pleine nature. Nous conseillons d'opter pour la demi-pension ; dîner excellent et raffiné avec un large choix. Personnel attentionné Piscine intérieure à 30 degrés avec accès à l'extérieur.

This hotel does by far not meet the standard of a 5 star hotel. (we had to change room twice because of black hairs in the bed and pillows, clear lack of staff, beach unclean, locked inside the beach after 16H30 pm, shuttle service not existent). Nevertheless, the beach and nature surrounding the hotel is unique. Staff was very friendly and tried their best with the resource available to them. We will be looking for better alternatives in Gozo next year.

Although rated 5 star, it was rather run down and in urgent need of refurbishment. Our room had a missing shelf in shower. but bathroom was generally in need of modernising as shower itself was still wirh cubicle. The worst thing was the broken and rusty ladder at the Lido. I cut myself against it and had to take a tetanus booster. The capsules of Nespresso machine in room were not the original but of an inferior brand. Breakfast was not typical of a 5 star hotel as it lacked good cheeses (only processed was available), there was no prosciutto crudo or genuine cakes.The general upkeep of the premises was also poor with the Maltese stone in all areas needing cleaning as it was no longer white and clean. At check out, we had to ask for receipt of payment, although it had already been taken from our card and we were not asked how our stay went.

We had a truly memorable stay at this beautiful 5-star hotel and spa. The setting is idyllic, with a perfect balance of tranquility and access to local attractions. It’s an ideal location for both relaxation and exploration. From check-in to check-out, the staff were warm, professional, and eager to help. The spa is a particular highlight. Peaceful, beautifully maintained, and a real haven for relaxation. Our room was elegant, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with lovely amenities and attention to detail. The only slight drawback was the comfort of the bed. While the bedding itself was high quality, the plastic mattress protector underneath was a bit noticeable and detracted slightly from what we had expected to be a completely plush, seamless sleeping experience. Service by the pool, while friendly, was also a little slower than expected for a hotel of this caliber. It wasn’t a major issue, but there were a few delays in ordering and receiving drinks, which stood out only because everything else was so smooth and efficient throughout the hotel. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return. With just a few small improvements, this would be a flawless luxury escape.

Amazing service! Spa pool was heated and area around pool was beautiful. Massages excellent. You have to indulge in the espresso martini! Breakfast and dinner were fabulous. You also have to take advantage of the opportunity to go to Ta’ Cenc cliffs and use their loungers and swim in the cove. Amazing! Bring water shoes to walk along the cliff area, hand rails down to Mediterranean Sea and cafe for what u need. Stunning! We celebrated our 31st anniversary. Thank you for those small personal touches for our stay.

Great getaway in Gozo. Walking distance from the Ta Cenc cliffs which are a must see and views of Comino and Malta. Beautiful walks from this hotel and even the amazing Mgarr ix-Xini. The hotel itself is a haven, great spa with indoor outdoor pool. 2 other outdoor pools. restaurants, bars cool rooms. I would recommend.

Room 18 is one of our favourites! As clean and comfortable as always, and spa pool is wonderful, even in dodgy autumn weather. Our favourite hotel! Looking forward to returning in May.

A fabulous place to stay, the staff are so helpful and friendly while giving you enough space to enjoy the serene surroundings. The only drawback to the whole place are the en suite bathrooms which are tired and in my case had a shower that didn’t work well.

Hotel common area, garden grounds and pool areas are well kept. But the room is old and badly needs refurbishing. Area at the back of room is not well kept.

I stayed at this hotel expecting a 5-star experience, but what I got was far from it. The room was not particularly clean, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this level. The minibar in our Junior Suite was completely empty, even though they took my credit card as a guarantee for any consumption. It’s hard to understand the logic behind that. Service was a disaster: the bar and pool areas were practically unattended. Worst of all, at the pool bar, I was refused a drink simply because I was wearing a bathrobe instead of regular clothes. When I politely asked for an explanation, the bar staff member didn’t even stop to talk to me — she just walked past and, without looking at me, said I had to be dressed. The attitude was rude and unprofessional. At check-in, I was handed a form and told to fill in my own details — again, not something I would ever expect from a supposedly high-end hotel. Overall, this place lacks the service, attention to detail, and professionalism you'd expect from a true 5-star hotel. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend it.

Staff were quite noisy outside No internet in room even though reported on Day 1. On the day of my partner's birthday the bed was all done up with towel sculptures and flowers. It was really appreciated Unique place to stay in

The property is well laid out, offering well maintained and comfortable areas for dining, swimming and exercise. Staff are well trained and are eager to assist. No issues there. However, the guest rooms are in need of some attention. Some of the issues we noticed: 1: Broken Tiles in the bathroom. 2: Room furniture shows signs of wear 3: Room air conditioning not operational 4: Bed mattress and pillows are in desperate need of replacement. Mattress is very soft, pillows are very flat. 5: Room TV is small; Remote control has electrical tape holding it together. 6: Toilet seat not entirely secure; shifts while in use 7: Bathtub is small and the bottom is curved (not flat), making it hard not to slip when taking a shower. 8: Could not determine how to use the room safe; no instructions provided. Upon checkin I asked for a room upgrade seeing the hotel was pretty empty and the receptionist abruptly told me ‘I don’t give upgrades’ without even looking up at me. The room was very basic for the price I paid. Mattress were two singles joined together and all night we kept falling in the middle, which made them open up and had me sinking in the middle! No room service menu in the room, so I called for one and it never arrived! The sunbeds were so uncomfortable that the wooden frame would plunge in your back that it hurt to lay on them and they were filthy with no towels available to put on them. The breakfast was as basic as can be! We ordered some nibbles with our drinks and they never arrived either. I don’t know how this hotel is 5 star with such bad service and mediocre finishing as and ambience. Definitely not worth the $200 a night we paid! We left very disappointed for what was supposed to be a quick luxury weekend getaway, I definitely don’t recommend it!

Mooie plek, prachtig uitzicht, kamers en badkamer geen 5 sterren waard. Douche zeer klein en oud . Airco werkte minimaal , te warm om de kamer..

We liked it all but have a couple of suggestions to improve it. Ban smoking in all outside eating areas; offer drinks when around the pools; provide a very small shop/area where you can buy essentials (eg sun cream, sun hat, cover up wrap etc); provide better tennis balls or option to buy new balls; the bar staff were under extreme pressure so provide more staff; quality of dinner could be improved a little although was decent value for money

Bis auf ein paar wenige Kleinigkeiten war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Sehr gutes Essen, eine wunderbare Ruhe und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten waren zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Personal war sehr freundlich.

Nous avons passé 6 jours merveilleux à l'hôtel Ta' Cenc & Spa. Nous avons profité de son cadre fabuleux et de son SPA très agréable. Le petit déjeuner est top et si vous mangez le soir vous ne serez pas déçu, ni par le service ni par le contenu de votre assiette. Merci à toute l'équipe. Si on doit retenir un truc moins bien, les chambres sont un peu veillotte. Mais honnêtement je recommande à 100%
