I enjoyed my 2 night stay at this location near Borough Market/Shard. The beds were clean and comfy. Facilities were nice with a rain shower with plenty of hot water for an end of day recovery shower! Towels are available for a fee I used a t shirt I had available. Bring shower shoes or flip flops I forgot them. Overall all great stay!

I came to London all alone and was met by the best staff ever! Thank you so much to Blake, Nick, Ben and everyone else for making my trip memorable. On a side note, the pillows in the room I stayed in were quite hard, and the hot water wasn’t working properly

I think this place is just for short stay not long stay. It doesn’t have common place we can use because it would be full of customer at night. And also they don’t have any kitchen we can use even microwave and kettle. And you cannot watch any YouTube via their wifi. The location is perfect, so if you consider about just short stay or you eat only outside, this is perfect place.

Great as it got a pub downstairs that’s open 24/7 :) negative, tiny boxes so hard to stretch when sleeping. At least u know how it feels to sleep in a casket But that said if I seek a pub and a bed, this be where I come back too

Food was delicious, environment felt safe, customer service was on point. The only bad thing is climbing up and down the stairs with my suitcase, but other than that I really enjoyed my staying!

Towels are not provided, apparently. If you need to shower, they will gladly SELL you a towel for £7.50, or $10 USD, non refundable. Try to skip the shower if you can anyways, because the showers are disgusting, the floor is so gross that I feared I would get athlete's foot. There are also no private spaces to change, not even a curtain in the room. You could hypothetically change in the bathroom but there's no clean or dry space to place your clothing. On my last day I brought my bra, underwear and a pair of jeans with me to shower and balanced them precariously on the hand dryer, and when I walked back to my room holding a towel in front of me, a strange man stood there staring at me as I awkwardly ducked into my bunk and climbed back under the blanket until he finally left me alone. Not to mention that they don't allow food in the rooms, and the pub downstairs is not only crowded but they allow smoking, so as I ate dinner there one night at the only open seat I had an asthma attack thanks to the gormless bloke smoking near me. Go somewhere else!!

Pleasantly surprised! Would definitely stay again. We stayed in a private double roomnbl with ensuite on top floor. Exceeded all expectations. Great location, close to tube and Borough Market. Only negative was no lift so rooms not accessible or suitable for those with lots of luggage.

It's a very noisy place, and it's hard to rest at night. Even though the rules say no music or loud noises after a certain time, no one respects them, and they enter shared bathrooms with music that can be heard in every room. An alarm went off in the middle of the night, and no one gave any information, nor did they turn it off quickly. All the doors slam shut.

This is a great place to stay in London as it’s right by everything you can ask for! Staff were friendly and helpful and the pub downstairs was delicious and open late.

There was no hot water at all, a man broke into my female only dorm while we were asleep and tried to break into the lockers which are metal crates basically. Luggage storage room is down narrow stairs. Only recommend if you need a last minute place. If you can spend the extra money for something better

The property is a basic bare hotel. I didnt know I had to bring my own towel, lock for the locker and shampoo/body wash. Most staff and guests were nice. Because of my bad back, I had messaged in advance to get the bottom bunk. Unfortunately, you can’t sit up in any of the beds since it’s too low. It’s triple decker bed. First night, I woke up in the middle of the night and saw a couple sleeping on the bunk above me. I freaked out since I felt the bed could only handle 1 person. Third night, the guy above me soiled himself. I went down and the staff were great! They came up, gave the guy a towel and asked him to take a shower. All was fine after until 1 hr later, it happened again. Everyone in the room, all 8 of us were ready to puke. I went down and informed the staff on duty. But he didn’t want to do anything. He told me to move to a different bed but it was 100% booked and the whole room smelled. I was so tired, went up, laid down & rolled my tshirt to cover my nose hoping he wouldn’t leak through the matress. 20 mins later, the guy jumped up, ran out and came back clean and didn’t smell like poop. It’s sad since he seemed to be a nice normal decent guy but the room smelled like it for the rest of my stay. The location and having the pub downstairs was awesome though. The bathroom/ shower/ toilet & rooms needed more attention. They ran out of toilet paper multiple times. The door does slam really loud. Most of us held it slowly so it doesn’t slam but all it took was 1 guy

This place is a great location with clean bedding and nice showers. To be clear this is a youth hostel accommodation and it’s crowded and noisy suitable for young men and young couples touring London. Probably not the best for an older women such as myself. Also there wasn’t any breakfast available and I couldn’t find any coffee in the lobby as advertised.

I didn’t like that all 3 toilets in the first floor weren’t repaired, the seats are shaky. The first toilet right of you on floor one also needs more cleaning, the trash bags weren’t replaced during my whole stay. The first shower in floor one lacks a lot of privacy. The staff were very friendly and understanding. The beds and the rooms were clean and professional.

The location is good near train stations and the bridge but the rooms are too small for 9 people and there’s no hot water on the showers, baths and bathrooms were dirty and there’s no place to breath talk on the phone you have to go out to the street or something . Not a very pleasant experience

I have never stayed in a dirtier place like this! The rooms were super smelly and the toilets were horrendous, no toilet paper and dirt everywhere!! The area was also super unsafe. Drunks everywhere. Especially this hostel has a bar downstairs that gets super noisy all night and you can hear people from the rooms since you have to have a window open since the room smelled like socks!

I realize this is a hostel, but it is terrible. Dirty, the rooms are SO small, with beds stacked 3 high and not even room to open your suitcase on the floor. 12x12 rooms with 3 stacks of 3 twin beds.Barely room to walk between beds. Dirty floors and bathrooms. Felt like a rabbit in a warren. And to top it all off, no hot water when I checked in. 2 days later, still no hot water so I left. They could not guarantee I would receive a refund on the 2 unused days, even though it was their issue with the water. I've stayed in hostels in London before, and this is by far the worst. Not worth the cost.

The beds were soooo small. You couldn’t even sit down because you would hit your head with the bed above. The least social hostel I’ve ever stayed at. However, it was very clean.

Open 24 hours. Location by the Shard and Borough Market. Quiet on the third floor. Staff great but not knowledgeable for touristy activities. Room was in attic with bed almost on floor. Very narrow creaky steps. Only window was a skylight with broken shade. No dresser and only one night stand. No shelving in bathroom Had to put everything on floor.

The staff was awesome, both day and night. And the pus was pretty cool, with a good selection of beers on tap (+ more). Rooms were OK in appearance, but some smarter solutions to the bunk bed situation could have been implemented. For instance closing the space between wall and bed. So one can have stuff there. (my book fell down in the head of the Japanese guy sleeping under me) And speaking of the Japanese.. The way their sleeping pods and work, I think is something this place and others could take some inspiration from. Way more closed off, and with better sound isolation. Something I truly needed my last night there. Because the one guy (in a room of 9) kept snoring and snoring. Like a chainsaw starting up.. Ugh. But it was nice there beyond that. Don't really wanna complain about a hostel too much. Because it is what it is. Cheap, easy and simple living.

Rooms were OK in appearance, but some smarter solutions to the bunk bed situation could have been implemented. For instance closing the space between wall and bed. So one can have stuff there. (my book fell down in the head of the Japanese guy sleeping under me) And speaking of the Japanese.. The way their sleeping pods and work, I think is something this place and others could take some inspiration from. Way more closed off, and with better sound isolation. Something I truly needed my last night there. Because the one guy (in a room of 9) kept snoring and snoring. Like a chainsaw starting up.. Ugh. But it was nice there beyond that. Don't really wanna complain about a hostel too much. Because it is what it is. Cheap, easy and simple living.

I realize this is a hostel, but it is terrible. Dirty, the rooms are SO small, with beds stacked 3 high and not even room to open your suitcase on the floor. 12x12 rooms with 3 stacks of 3 twin beds.Barely room to walk between beds. Dirty floors and bathrooms. Felt like a rabbit in a warren. And to top it all off, no hot water when I checked in. 2 days later, still no hot water so I left. They could not guarantee I would receive a refund on the 2 unused days, even though it was their issue with the water. I've stayed in hostels in London before, and this is by far the worst. Not worth the cost.

Pleasantly surprised! Would definitely stay again. We stayed in a private double roomnbl with ensuite on top floor. Exceeded all expectations. Great location, close to tube and Borough Market. Only negative was no lift so rooms not accessible or suitable for those with lots of luggage.

The property is a basic bare hotel. I didnt know I had to bring my own towel, lock for the locker and shampoo/body wash. Most staff and guests were nice. Because of my bad back, I had messaged in advance to get the bottom bunk. Unfortunately, you can’t sit up in any of the beds since it’s too low. It’s triple decker bed. First night, I woke up in the middle of the night and saw a couple sleeping on the bunk above me. I freaked out since I felt the bed could only handle 1 person. Third night, the guy above me soiled himself. I went down and the staff were great! They came up, gave the guy a towel and asked him to take a shower. All was fine after until 1 hr later, it happened again. Everyone in the room, all 8 of us were ready to puke. I went down and informed the staff on duty. But he didn’t want to do anything. He told me to move to a different bed but it was 100% booked and the whole room smelled. I was so tired, went up, laid down & rolled my tshirt to cover my nose hoping he wouldn’t leak through the matress. 20 mins later, the guy jumped up, ran out and came back clean and didn’t smell like poop. It’s sad since he seemed to be a nice normal decent guy but the room smelled like it for the rest of my stay. The location and having the pub downstairs was awesome though. The bathroom/ shower/ toilet & rooms needed more attention. They ran out of toilet paper multiple times. The door does slam really loud. Most of us held it slowly so it doesn’t slam but all it took was 1 guy

I didn’t like that all 3 toilets in the first floor weren’t repaired, the seats are shaky. The first toilet right of you on floor one also needs more cleaning, the trash bags weren’t replaced during my whole stay. The first shower in floor one lacks a lot of privacy. The staff were very friendly and understanding. The beds and the rooms were clean and professional.

Open 24 hours. Location by the Shard and Borough Market. Quiet on the third floor. Staff great but not knowledgeable for touristy activities. Room was in attic with bed almost on floor. This place is a great location with clean bedding and nice showers. To be clear this is a youth hostel accommodation and it’s crowded and noisy suitable for young men and young couples touring London. Probably not the best for an older women such as myself. Also there wasn’t any breakfast available and I couldn’t find any coffee in the lobby as advertised.

Cannot believe how this is even allowed to function in London. The smell and stench all the way from the corridors to the rooms was so horrible. I checked out within 10 minutes of checking in. Lost my money but kept my health and sanity.

This is a great classic London hostel, especially if location is your priority. It is very close to Borough Market, great food, the waterfront, bridges, and plenty of transportation. Check-in is at the pub, which gives it a fun old-school hostel feel. I was nervous because I had not stayed in a hostel in years, but I had a great experience. The room was a classic shared bunk setup, and I appreciated being assigned a specific bunk. The lockers were large enough for a suitcase, and you can buy a lock on site. The mattress was thin but surprisingly comfortable, and I slept very well. The metal bed frames do squeak when people move, so expect a true hostel experience. There are no privacy curtains, but each bunk has its own outlet. The staff were welcoming, and the hostel felt safe. The main downside is the shared bathroom area. The showers were clean, private, had great water pressure, and plenty of hot water, but the bathroom floors could use more frequent cleaning, and the space gets humid due to limited ventilation. It can be noisy if the window is open at night, so I recommend closing it while sleeping and opening it during the day for air. Overall, this was a safe, welcoming hostel with an unbeatable location.
