A pleasantly surprising stay in the Saumur/ Doué-la-Fontaine area of the Loire. This property while modern is a gem, we benefited from a comfortable clean and pleasant family room, with a window opening up onto their rear garden area. Woke up to birdsong and quiet , and a great breakfast in their large conservatory. Service excellent and helpful. Only point of note is if you wish to dine in their partner (next door) restaurant , best to reserve in advance , as it was fully booked (despite being almost empty!) at 630pm. But- more choice available in nearby Doué-la-Fontaine about 10 mins drive . Would thoroughly recommend this family run hotel as a stop-off on the long drive south from Calais, or for short excursions into the Saumur area.

Chambre 6 propre. La Douche est vétuste. À refaire! Le petit déjeuner ne correspond pas aux photos présentées. Un peu de jambon et tranche bacon pour le salé. Pas d œufs. Rien pour cuire le bacon. Le lendemain, livraison pas faites. Machine à café en arrêt. Café dans une cafetière très clair. Plus de pain aux fruits. Chère pour ce qui nous a été proposé. Nous avons appris que l établissement avait été racheté .le client ne doit pas en payer les frais. Mon petit fils c’est planter une écharde au bord de la piscine du au mauvais état des dalles en bois. La pression de l eau de douche est tellement forte , qu’elle vous fait mal . L accueil a été chaleureux. Les hôtesses ont fait tout leurs possible pour nous satisfaire.

Nous avons séjourné 4 nuitées dans l’hôtel . La chambre était propre . Mais une chaleur épouvantable , pas de clim dommage ….. Le petit déjeuner était médiocre, peu de choix, très peu de salé, les yaourts du faite que le soleil taper dessus ils etaient chaud , nous ne nous sommes pas aventurer à y goûter . En ce concerne le personnel très sympathique et faisait avec les moyens qui leur était donné. La piscine devrait être refaite , toutes les planche de bois autour etait fragilisé, on s’y eet même planter des échardes dans le pied , l’eau plutôt verte . Un robot nettoyeur était pourtant à côté , nous ne l’avons jamais vu fonctionner . Voilà notre ressentie. Le restaurant à côte le bistrot était exceptionnel
