Staff and owner Erica were very kind. Our room was spacious with a nice shower. We had a double room because at the time of booking it was the same price. Bed was large and comfortable. It looks very much like the photos. We were in room #3 so we had to walk up which was fine for us. It’s a B&B so no elevator. There was a free parking lot across the street that we were fortunate enough to get into. The area is quiet and a quick walk to the town. The 3 chateau’s are in walking distance. We actually did all 3 in one day. We would stay here again!

Erica and Pablito (Erica's dog) are excellent host! Erica's home is beautiful, clean and welcoming. We had the top floor and it was very spacious. *If you don't mind the stairs* There is no AC but Erica provided a portable one even though it is loud (to be expected) we were able to sleep just fine. Breakfast was fantastic! It is more than just your bread and spreads, Erica prepares the coffee and will also make you eggs. There is a full kitchen that guest have access to so you are able to store beverages, food or make food. There is a beautiful outdoor sitting area and parking is fairly easy. We snagged a parking spot right across the street from the property. It is free! Erica can provide recommendations for activities as well as places to dine. Overall a wonderful experience. 10/10!!

Stayed with 2 kids in a heat wave, Erica did everything she could to make our stay comfortable and we had an AC unit in the room which was wonderful. The kids were able to stay on a sofa bed with us as their separate room was too hot. Wonderful town walkable. Parked just outside. Huge comfy bed. Huge bathroom. Spotless. Would definitely stay again.

This property is very simple. Stairs are a bit tricky with heavy suitcases. The staff was absolutely adorable and our breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend it for the price and location.

L'accueil est très chaleureux. Les locaux sont très propres et bénéficient de toutes les commodités. Le petit-déjeuner est excellent et très varié. L'emplacement du huis-clos est idéal, à la fois proche du centre ville et assez éloigné pour ne pas entendre les bruits inhérents à la ville. En résumé, nous estimons que cet hébergement est idéal et le personnel d'une gentillesse rare.

Check in time is 5pm but we were able to store our luggage upon early arrival and after checkout. The room is clean and spacious with a private porch. The host was kind and helpful and prepared a lovely breakfast.

Erica, the hostess was wonderful. She made the stay pleasurable. The room was very small . Could have used a chair in the room. Also was unaware that there would not be anyone at the hotel at reception throughout the day and evening. Wish that would have been clearly published. Parking was a bit difficult but ok, understanding so much construction.TY Erica, you were great.

Such a lovely place to stay, and a lovely hostess, Erika. Really a B&B, Erika served a great continental breakfast with lots of pastries, breads, cheese, etc., and good coffee. Our room upstairs was very light and airy and had a rooftop patio with lounge chairs. The shower was great and there was even a towel heater, the bed and sheets were excellent. Erika was very helpful with suggestions about restaurants and places to get food or visit. We felt very welcome, very well hosted, and recommend Le Huis Clos 100%

The most unique thing is Erica herself. Her warm smile every morning her eagerness to be of assistance without being ovver the top, I have not experieiced anything like it. The property itself is nice, very convenient to everything, safe, but it is the warmth you feel stying here that would attract us back again.

This is a great place to stay as a base to visit the castles in the Amboise area. The hotel has everything you need and there's plenty of free parking near it. Erika is a fantastic host and she gave us very useful tips. Overall, 100% recommended!

It was a disaster. Nobody there on arrival - admittedly I arrived 10 minutes after their preferred check in window. The phone was answered. There was no PIN code sent. Finally I went for dinner and did receive an message with the door code. However it did not work, the spare key was missing from the back up lockbox. The local receptionist dials not answer here phone and the owner was overseas…: By now it is 11:30pm so impossible to find an alternative. I slept in my car until 5.00am and left for St Malo. Total flop. The owner was v apologetic and said I would get a full refund (well thank you!). When I come back to Amboise as I would like to enjoy the place I expect at least one free night as recompense for a terrible experience.

Staff and owner Erica were very kind. Our room was spacious with a nice shower. We had a double room because at the time of booking it was the same price. Bed was large and comfortable. It looks very much like the photos. We were in room #3 so we had to walk up which was fine for us. It’s a B&B so no elevator. There was a free parking lot across the street that we were fortunate enough to get into. The area is quiet and a quick walk to the town. The 3 chateau’s are in walking distance. We actually did all 3 in one day. We would stay here again!

Our stay at Le Huis Clos was wonderful. Erika the hostess was so helpful and friendly. The location is wonderful. Walking distance to the castle and downtown. The room was very clean and comfortable. Very modern. Breakfast was wonderful. Buffet style, lots of choices. Would highly recommend and stay here again.

This is a great place to stay as a base to visit the castles in the Amboise area. The hotel has everything you need and there's plenty of free parking near it. Erika is a fantastic host and she gave us very useful tips. Overall, 100% recommended!

Lovely place in a quiet street in walking distance to the Chateau Royale Amboise, the Clos Luce, the farmers market by the river and the train station. Check in time is 5pm but we were able to store our luggage upon early arrival and after checkout. The room is clean and spacious with a private porch. The host was kind and helpful and prepared a lovely breakfast.

Such a lovely place to stay, and a lovely hostess, Erika. Really a B&B, Erika served a great continental breakfast with lots of pastries, breads, cheese, etc., and good coffee. Our room upstairs was very light and airy and had a rooftop patio with lounge chairs. The shower was great and there was even a towel heater, the bed and sheets were excellent. Erika was very helpful with suggestions about restaurants and places to get food or visit. We felt very welcome, very well hosted, and recommend Le Huis Clos 100%

This was such a beautiful place. Charming old building, spacious room with lovely outdoor space. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and hospitable. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and delicious.

Erika was fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Our room was enormous with an incredibly serene view of a private courtyard. Walking distance to all the eateries in town. A perfect stay in between two days of Chateau tours.

Breakfast was simple but great, and left for the day with a full belly. No coffee in the room, but a kettle and tea. Bought some instant to keep in the room. Would go back for sure.
