Very pleasant stay. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. It was over 32 degrees during the day, and the room air conditioning was very effective. We also appreciated the free drinks in the in-room fridge. The hotel is a little out of the town centre, but we are happy to walk so it wasn't an issue for us. It was only 800m from the Zehn Freunde Triathlon event, which is what we were visiting for, so it was very convenient for us. Only negative for me is that it seems a bit mean that they charge 15 euros to park your car in their own on-site car park, it would be better if that was cheaper or free.

I had a good stay at Dormero in Darmstadt. The hotel is 5 mins walk from Darmstadt Nord and is relatively modern, which great features like USB C ports on the plugs and AirPlay on TV. The bed was huge and very comfy, and the room was a great size as well as being nice and quiet. The only negative was that you had to ask to have your room cleaned. I did so, but it wasn’t cleaned when I was told it would be. I’d definitely return and the hotel was worth the price paid.

I needed it just for one night and it was way above my expectations. Really neat and comfortable bedroom. Well equiped and perfectly clean. Great bed. Same for the bathroom, spacious, super clean. not a single issue. Great cost/benefit. They offer breakfast. Even if i found slightly expensive, it was great. Basic but quality was good and decent variety. Staff was very efficient. Less than 5 min to get me my room Super recommend

Wände sind recht hellhörig. Im Bett lagen Haare, auf dem Toilettensitz waren Flecken und im Bad teilweise scharfe Kanten. Die Zimmer sind ziemlich klein, sodass man sich zwischen Fernseher und Bett vorbeiquetschen muss um rüber zu gelangen. Alles in allem ganz OK, aber auch etwas enttäuschend - hab mehr erwartet bei all den guten Bewertungen. Schulenote: 3-

Katastrophe!!! Hatte in meinem Zimmer 8 große Käfer und eine Biene. Niemand an der Rezeption. Habe die ganze Nacht nicht geschlafen weil ich damit beschäftigt war diesen Zoo zu töten....Ekelhaft!

I had a good stay at Dormero in Darmstadt. The hotel is 5 mins walk from Darmstadt Nord and is relatively modern, which great features like USB C ports on the plugs and AirPlay on TV. Should have been an easy 5 stars. Unfortunately they have designed the fancy full wall TV enclosures that affectively turn the wall into speaker. My neighbour left the TV on all night, and I didn't get any sleep. The issue is the box acts as a sub woofer and the room on the other side gets a drum and base style affect that's far louder than the TV noise itself. Even good quality silicone ear plugs couldn't help ( not sure if it's the frequency or if it due to vibrations) No staff on site after 11pm so nothing I could do. I would not go back as you can't guarantee you have an ingrate next to you.

The room was very small and it was very very warm in our room. We asked the front desk people to see if they could help us with the thermostat and they said they'd try but the room remained hot. We woke up sweating every morning. For two people, the room was very cramped and we often had to go around each other to even get to the bathroom in there. Other than that, the stay was fine but we wouldn't book here again.

Arrogant and unfriendly hotel staff is a big turn-off for this property. When I arrived at 1pm, I was told check-in won't start until 3pm. That was fine with me. "May I leave my bag here at front desk?" The hotel manager gave me that impatient look as if he was offended and I should have left him alone. I wondered: If he wasn't there to help customers, why did he get paid and show up in the hotel? As someone who spends on average 100 nights in hotel across the world each year, I have to say I never met any hotel staff so unfriendly like him. It was eye-opening experience in a very bad way. I had a very unpleasant stay at this hotel to say the least.
