Pool not heated, lift is out of work.We need walking to the unit.

Facilities were dirty, electrical wires hanging from the wall, everything just holding together or broken. Facilities were not as advertised. Only seen the staff member once on arrival where it seemed like we were inconveniencing him by turning up to check in. Had to park on the street as no parks left for our car. Advertised spa, sauna. Not working when we were there. Overall would absolutely not recommend one bit.

Sauna and a pool and big green lawn. Peaceful even though on busy road

This is in no way a resort. The pool was not clean, nor the spa. There were no pool towels to use. There was only one fork in the kitchen making dining difficult. We had no view and the room smelt musty. There were old vegetables in the freezer and to top it all off there is a sign stating that if you dont remove your own rubbish and wash up there would be an additional $100 charge. We would never stay there again .

Clean and tidy unit. Well located. Nice pool and spa.

It was very pretty spot by the lake, but a bit disappointed the swimming pool wasnt open in the morning even though it said open from 8am. It was such a lovely heated pool.

All apartments have designated parking spots and no one respects that not even management.They don't adhere to this allowing guests to park where they want and patrons with parking are unable to park in their designated spot. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the neighbors.. Be aware of the noise you make.

Nice view, but won’t be returning. When we checked in, we were told to park on the street as only the bottom floor guests have access to those. We booked the queen bedroom penthouse. The room was dirty, and even the cleaners didn’t take out the rubbish bin that was left full with a bunch of empty wine bottles surrounding it. The drains in both bathrooms smell. We tried pouring water down, but didn’t change anything. If the manager reading this wants to chat about this and further feedback, please let me know. I would have given this feedback on site if there was any staff around to give it. The reception desk was closed by 5pm when the hours were listed until 6pm.

I booked Lake Resort before I had read all the 2* reviews. Unfortunately the reviews in this case were true. The photos are optimistic at best and taken when the place was new. Naturestrip in need of desperate mow. No one was on Reception when we arrived so I rang the number and waited about 20 minutes for my key. I used this time to check out the "facilities" the pool was very long & narrow (maybe 2m). I passed the pool area and went out to the grass area on the lakeside. No decent furniture to enjoy what was a very nice view. My key was finally given to me. First impressions, no view here as I opened into a depressing room with a small kitchenette, couch and bed. The window & glass door faced the car park with zero natural light. The car park was very tight and I was extremely concerned about being parked in and angled my car to ensure the easiest exit. TV had no remote control. Phoned for help, but managed to locate a friendly neighbour who gave me their remote so I could switch TV on. Phoned again after 30 min to chase remote and waited another 30 before it finally arrived. Tried to connect to the WiFi. Signal only worked outside the Reception area. Bedtime - I could not believe that the sheet did not fit the bed! At the end of the bed there was 30cm of mattress protective cover! The toilet seat did not fit the toilet properly. On leaving, I tried to follow the instructions for rubbish removal and could only find the recycling bin.

Wonderful views but slow staff. We waited an hour for the staff to turn on the facilities. The spa does not work properly.

Not what they make it out to be dirty mould in shower ask for refund from owner and Expedia

I was nice and clean

FALSE ADVERTISING- Property is run down, dirty and nothing like the photos. Smoke detector handing off ceiling, paint peeling, mould, looked onto a brick wall, felt like a dungeon, bed cover stained, smelt damp old old bed dumped outside by front door. Complained to Expedia and the property refused to engage with them.

The place look like it hadn’t been dusted in a very long time. The air-conditioner in the bedroom didn’t work. The bedsides were extremely dirty and covered in dust. The blinds and curtains to the place were in a very poor condition. The milk provided for the tea and coffee was frozen. The people Next Door were having a major domestic at about 11 o’clock at night which was entertaining.

I was really disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel room during our stay. When I accidentally dropped my son's dummy and moved the bed to retrieve it, I was shocked to find how filthy it was underneath. It looked like the floors hadn’t been cleaned in years—thick dust and dirt had clearly built up over a long period. To make matters worse, the room had a strong musty smell that made it uncomfortable to be in. For the price we paid, I expected a much higher standard of hygiene. This experience has definitely made me reconsider staying here again.

Marks and holes in the wall. front entry door key would not work and had to ask to be shown the tricks to get it open. Bathrooms super small. Larger person would not fit into the basin area. Shower heads clogged and water would spray everywhere. Corners in bathroom had mould. Fridge was not turned on. When first opened smelt and took a long time to cool down. Would never stay again. It was overpriced

The lake and view were magnificent! The property was ok, we were only there for one night it wasn’t perfect as the blinds were broken the maintenance person was called, but never came. The pool was dirty. The apartment was not cleaned properly. This property has got so much potential to be amazing as the views are beautiful and the building is still new. It just needs a bit of tlc

This motel was clean, only shampoo was available You are also required to wash up all dishes and take rubbish downstairs to the outside bins or you could incur a $100 fee I feel like if I was staying multiple nights this would be ok, however only staying for one night I feel this isn’t reasonable However the bed was very comfortable

Our apartment was huge, with views of the water from 2-sides; and the beds were very comfortable but the lounge furniture was old and dated; the walls were scratched and chipped with door handles having been put through the walls in most rooms. Although we loved having so much space to ourselves, and a choice of big city-type businesses to go to, the road was incredibly busy - it was difficult to get into and out of the apartment car park, and we didn’t enjoy being woken up at 6am by the heavy traffic. Not a problem if you’re a worker - but we were on holidays. So, it’s a great place for workers but I’d suggest holiday-makers look somewhere quieter in the area instead - maybe Budgewoi, Norah Head?

Great little property. Rooms would be better with dimmable lights and a TV that's connected to the antenna. The internet in this ear kept dropping out via phone and hotel WiFi making local channel streaming sometimes hard. Close to the parks and Beachcombers bar. Quick drive to others restaurants.

Location. Get an upstairs room with the view.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our room overlooking the lakes.

We loved staying here for 2 nights, the view of the lake was beautiful. The room was spacious and clean. The pool was nice. The resort was close to Norah head rock pool and lighthouse. Would stay again.

Satisfactory stay in a studio room. Was fully booked during school holidays so parking was awkward and lap pool was very busy. Floors were gritty with sand/dust. Ensuite was too small to dry yourself in and the shower curtain let the water on the floor. Described as fitted to 4.5 stars but not so. Furniture was dated and there was nowhere to hang anything longer than a skirt.

Words of an advice, Don't stay there!!! The room given to us stunk of cigarettes smell. We asked the hotel to change the room and the hotel refuses. Under no choice, we had to reject the booking. Then the hotel lied yo us that Expedia would charge us cancellation fees. I told the hotel that I wasn't cancelling my booking. Instead, I rejected the booking as the hotel failed to provide a clean room. The hotel refuses to resolve the situation and told us to wait until next Monday to brush us off. We were just tourists there and who would stay there until next Monday to sort things out?! Hence, I had to ask Expedia to step in to resolve the issue. Finally the hotel gave us another room which didn't stink of cigarettes. Overall, the room's tidiness level is poor. Lots of signs saying that we would be fined if we don't clean the room. With the fact that the hotel lies to us about cancellation fees, we were under a lots of stress staying in the hotel and tried to make sure we clean as we go to avoid hectic fines. Overall, the facilities and the room conditions are pretty bad and require some maintenance.

This “resort” is average. We arrived half hour before checkin and they made us wait. After that, the shower door came off and we asked the man in the office to please get it fixed before we got back that night. That’s after we made 4 phone calls to the number and no one answered. I could have walked into that little office space and taken everything! That night the shower screen still wasn’t fixed, so we didnt have showers the next morning. We couldn’t find anyone at check out and a lady pushing the linen trolley said she could take the key and would pass on the message about the shower screen again. The people who seemed to “run” it were extremely laise fair. I certainly wouldnt employ them. The resorts location is good but it’s certainly not a resort I would return to. Sorry.

This resort is not worth it. Last week we had a bad experience with that resort staff, they are not friendly. This was my experience. The resort manager was a careless man with the customers. I had an accident, I fell off a chair, it was damaged, he was not worthy of bringing ice, no less, let's file an incident report. Poor service. I do recommend that you do not visit this place. The only nice thing is the lake side and backyard. The pool is very dirty. We had to take our grandson to the emergency health center because he got an allergy from dirty water. For what I posted in the middle of the day, it is not a pool. It looks like a long fountain and a dirty footpath swimming pool. The place was so dirty swimming pool not clean. My hair is light I find small hands base a red her so upset with service

We were paying extra to pay on arrival, only to be told that our credit card had already been charged. Moved to a different room as the original was very noisy. New room was clean but furniture very old. Verandah furniture was broken, bed that we slept in had the support slats fall out during the night. No one was in attendance at the office next morning for check out to report this to. In fact no one appeared to be in attendance at the office whenever we walked past. Not a well run motel, in our opinion

The first room we checked into was not very clean so they moved us & the next room was better.

When i arrived and was shown my room which was ok went to turn tv on it didn't have a cable on the back so couldn't use it had to wait to find someone to fix it up for me. They weren't very friendly 😕

It’s a place to sleep. There was a domestic incident around 10PM and there was no staff around to call police. Another guest had to call the police and we were all barricaded in our rooms. Would I come back? No

They call it Lakes Resort, Resort implies activities, restaurant etc, they have a lap pool, a spa (wasn't working), and a sauna I think. Did not see an option for advertised Continental Breakfast. Most rooms face residential properties, not the view. You need to drive to restaurants. Very good price for a short stay, very clean, nice view from pool but more like a Motel.

Lake view is excellent. Waterfront area ,bbq,would be great during warm seasons.

We enjoyed our stay for one night. The sunset view in the garden is incredible.

A short holiday near the beach on the Central Coast. Location suited us with about 1km walk to the main shopping area with restaurants and Coles. Need to drive to Norah Head for surfing beaches with a range of options for different levels. Nice walk near Norah Head lighthouse which is well worth a visit.

Property very well priced, good location, clean neat and tidy.

Nothing liked - room dirty - hair all through room and bathroom - minimal information provided at check-in - only information given was what they did not want you to do. Bathroom mould in grout in shower. Breakfast room filthy - all crockery/cutlery put back on shelves with dirty mixed with clean - no tongs or anything for handling food items. Hot boiled eggs left on bench in in hygienic manner.

Gorgeous location, and peaceful place to relax! The super friendly and accommodating manager Paul, made our stay so much more relaxing, and it was obvious the other guests were very appreciative of him too! Free breakfast was a perfect touch, not needing to leave for food and coffee was great!

Nice area overlooking lake for breakfast. Whole complex could be a gold mine with a little upgrade.

I didn't receive my continental breakfast, and no blankets as it was a cold night.

Beautiful view of the lake if it had not been raining. 4th bedroom did not have twin beds as advertised. Minimal cooking facilities. Lots of maintenance needed - we repaired blinds, light switch and gas burner on stove. Several dining chairs damaged - very awkward when there were 7 guests. No plug for sink to do washing up and no cloth. Could be fantastic but did not live up to expectations.

A short overnight stay to break up our drive. We were greeted with a smile for our late check-in. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast by the lake before continuing our journey.

Friendly staff. A wonderful heated pool. The rooms also have a kitchen which is excellent if you don’t like to eat out for every meal. I would definitely stay here again. Excellent value!
