We stayed in a lodge overlooking the Savannah and it was beautiful just to spend time watching the animals. The rooms were amazing and well kept, the guides were very knowledgeable. Grateful that such a place exists in NSW.

High quality accommodation. Beautiful food. Helpful and accommodating staff and management. The room was very clean and well prepared. The view of the zoo animals could not be bettered.

Everything was lovely bar some minor cleanliness issues in the bathroom, other than that. Top notch

Everything was perfect and presented with detail. The room was spotless, the food was scrumptious, the staff offerred wonderful service. The lodge's location gave us direct view of the animals and the tours and information provided about the animals was fautless. Excellent!

No WiFi & my bed sheet was had a dirty mark on it.

Staying at Zoofari is a wonderful experience. Beautifully layed out tents with a patio where you can sit for hours watching the savannah animals. The 2 tours give you a look at some of the behind the scenes areas of the zoo. The food is amazing and so fresh. The staff are so helpful and friendly. We stayed for 2 nights and loved it.

This place is absolutely amazing and worth every cent! Firstly, the staff are incredible - everyone was so nice, welcoming, accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. I had a medical episode and they checked in with me whilst in hospital (so lovely) then on our return, they had saved dinner for us, set us up by the fire in the Lodge to relax and unwind. The food was delicious! African dishes with amazing flavours. It was great to get many small dishes to share so you could try so many things including crocodile and camel! The chef is accommodating with any allergies, requests etc. She also came out to make sure everyone was happy and answer any questions we had about the dishes. Breakfast dishes were beautiful as well. The grounds are great and you definitely feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere. Our accommodation was gorgeous (we were in the Ostrich cabin) it was very private. It was winter and extremely cold. Whilst the cabin had great heating, you still get cold drafts (because ultimately it’s a canvas tent) so take a few layers of clothing. :) The tours were fun. The tour guides were so knowledgeable and you could see how well all the staff of the zoo get along. I cannot rate this place high enough. I just wish I lived closer so I could visit again.

Loved the whole experience. Staff were amazing. Food amazing. We had two days there which we felt were needed. Spread the unique tours over 2 days instead of cramming and had time to drive round the main zoo. Expensive but worth every penny and not expensive considering inclusions and service. Thoroughly recommend. Note no wifi in lodges but there is in main guest house. A bit of a walk from car if you have a lot of luggage, not that convenient (we are older people)

Our stay at the Zoofari Lodge was unforgettable. The safari tent was beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly connected with the surrounding wildlife, waking up to giraffes and zebras outside was magical.Truly a special experience that I’d recommend to anyone. Can’t wait to go back!

Highly recommend Zoofari lodges, upon arrival a warm welcome with a swift check in process, then shown to our magnificent tents, with everything required for our two night stay. Stylish with cosy bedding, heating, tea coffee's, bath robes, hot showers, etc. Amazing meals in morning and evenings in an intimate african style restaurant. Well informed tours and oustanding customer relations made us feel very welcome and looked after. We will definitely be returning!

An exceptional stay in a bush view lodge "tent". The included activities were delightful (feeding a giraffe was a highlight!), and the three-course dinner was absolutely delicious, as was breakfast the next day. Excellent gluten free options too, which was much appreciated! Staff were wonderful, tours fabulous, room was comfortable and warm despite it being 0C overnight. 'Tents' are starting to show a little bit of age and a little refresh wouldn't go amiss, but honestly this didn't detract from the stay at all. Highly recommended!

We had a great time at the Zoo, the children loved walking to the lookout several times a day and the staff we just so lovely and knowledgeable

Worth a long drive. All staff were excellent customer service, especially Greg who did our private tour on the second day was very professional and full of knowledge.

Can't recommend this highly enough. What a fantastic experience. The staff work so hard and were so welcoming. To see Giraffes, Rhinos, Ostriches, Impalas...etc right outside our accom was so special. The only negative I could find was that there wasn't enough time from check-in to get settled and take it all in before the sundown tour. We all agreed that 2 nights would be perfect to fully experience it all and get some downtime to enjoy and watch the animals with a drink from our balcony. All in all it was an outstanding experience and will be talking about it for years to come.

Lovely stay in a glamping tent at Zoofari Lodge with the most amazing view of the Savannah at Taronga Western Plains Zoo. All the wonderful staff were fabulous, especially Isabelle and Emma who checked us in and took us on evening and morning special experiences. Food was delicious, could'nt fault anything.

The staff at Zoofari Lodge is amazing. They are all so helpful especially Jacob and Isabella. Helen was incredibly friendly. They really look after you with their hearts - took care of my husband so well in a wheelchair - big call-out to Terry who was with my husband during the zoo tour - thank you Terry. I was very impressed how appreciative the staff was with our visit and always expressing their thanks to help Taronga Zoo a non profit organisation. The animals are so well looked after - there is a lot of love here both to the animals and guests and visitors to the zoo - AMAZING- thank you so very much !

So close for viewing of the Savannah animals and the pure peace of the place was bliss!

This night at the zoo was worth every cent! Such an amazing experience. I just wished i had booked more in advance to get the room out the front of the giraffe feeding buckets. We were at the back lodge but we were hardly in the room anyway. If you could afford 2 nights i would recommend staying 2 nights. Also the money goes towards the running of the zoo and their breeding programs. My 7 and 9 year old loved it so much as did we. The food was great too!

Wonderful stay at Zoofari Lodge, Taronga Western Plains Zoo! Our stay exceeded our expectations. We loved being close to the Savannah animals grazing in front of our tent. The food is unique and superb and the staff friendly and helpful. The daily tours provided close up encounters with a number of animal species and staff were caring and knowledgeable! Highly recommend this stay and overall experience.

Watching the Savannah lands from our balcony was awesome. The morning tour behind the scene to view animals was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Worth of long drive

We had a wonderful experience and thoroughly enjoyed it. We spent all our free time watching the animals from our deck. The tours were great and were an important aspect of the overall wonderful experience. The zoo was fantastic too and certainly not to be missed by anyone.

Disappointing as this stay and whole experience used to be so much better. Food portions were so tiny, entree size and there's no way you can still try and call this an African Banquet. So many changes most definitely not for the better.

Room was beautiful and the animals were much closer than expected. Dinner was great and chef catered for my individual needs though i would have liked the option of sitting with others. Breakfast was quite disappointing - pancakes were cold and not accompanied by fresh fruit as was noted on menu - excuse that there were many children who chose pancakes really didnt sit well with me.

The tours are amazing. Special shout out to Helen and Kate for the amazing safaris. Food was meh. Dinner was tiny portions of frozen food, our family was still hungry. And dessert was literally two spoons of a frozen cafe style dessert. They need to work on the meals, especially since it is announced as “chef prepared to order” food. Breakfast was much better. For the price I was expecting good meals. Wouldn’t do it again
