Very basic with limited or no frills. Would have liked to see a coffee machine or water bottles in room. No restaurant (plenty in area though) and coffe/bar is good. Very friendly and helpful staff and good location.

Rapporto qualità prezzo non all'altezza. 200 euro a notte (+ 25 euro di posteggio anche per la moto...) senza che ci sia un bollitore, una bottiglietta di acqua offerta come benvenuto, Phon da albergo a 1 stella...sono troppe. Camera pulita, ma asettica. Ho girato tantissime strutture e ho trovato alberghi decisamente più belli e accoglienti anche ameno della metà. Capisco la posizione, ma così è eccessivo. Il personale è stato gentilissimo e disponibilissimo.

Nice room w/ fridge, helpful staff, wonderful bar. Several good Italian restaurants across the street, if you're tired of tapas. España Square a block away & a park w/ great city views & a small Egyptian temple 3-4 blocks walk down the hill.

Beautiful room and bathroom. Smaller but beautiful lobby and affordable bar. Close to Main Street to jail a taxi but also very walkable, lots of food options near by. Staff was very kind and helpful but could use a better check in space. Elevators were small but at least they have them! Next time I will book a room on the top floor for the balcony because that is the only thing that I think could have made the experience better.

In general the hotel offers the acceptable Motel One standards, the room size and design comparably better than other Motel One hotels I have stayed. However, the hotel has a serious smell problem, once you walk into the lobby you are face to face with a pungent sewage smell at most times. Same goes for the toilet, from time to time you have urine smell in the toilet. This is not pleasant at all.

The hotel is in a very convenient location near the Royal Palace, Gran Via and the Metro station. There are also may restaurants within walking distance. The reception staff was amazing. However, the maid service was atrocious. Our floors were never mopped or swept and she would let the toilet supplies run extremely low before replacing. On our final day we came home after a day excursion and when we took a shower, we noticed that the empty bottle of hand soap was not replaced, However, that was not our main concern, but the dirty towels that we left on the floor were not exchanged but rehung. This was totally unacceptable and disgusting. I went straight down to reception in order to let them know. They could not believe what happened and immediately sent up some clean towels. This staff member should be immediately let go for this despicable behavior. So please check your towels thoroughly before using them after a shower.

This was my first time at any Motel One property. The positives include that it is centrally located, the entry set-up is welcoming, the room was spacious and the people who worked there were friendly and helpful. The downsides for me are based on any hotel advertising as four stars, but they do not have the following: glassware in the room; immediate access to an iron or steamer for clothes; and a bed that was essentially two full size beds pushed together with a king sheet placed over it. This was also a reserve, no pay later property. Be careful about Euro conversions when it comes to the price. For this, I take more issue with Expedia's transparency than the hotel.

Nice hotel with a great lobby bar. Rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable, but towel racks were loose and shower door leaked. They turn off AC in November and our room was incredibly hot so we needed to keep the window open which was noisy. Walking distance to bars and restaurants and longer walk to all the sites. Breakfast was adequate, with cold selections only. Reception and bar staff were amazing.

Great location! Clean and spacious room. One thing, if you are an American traveling in the fall/winter, be advised there is no A/C in the room. Typical for any hotel in Europe.

Check in não esteve à altura de um Motel One, apesar da simpatia dos funcionários . A experiência não foi a melhor, foi nos facultado um quarto e quando chegamos ao mesmo o mesmo encontrava-se ocupado. O funcionário pediu desculpa e ofereceu-nos duas garrafas de água . Contudo uma falha grave a apontar. Esperava mais algum luxo a semelhança de outros Motel One que já passei.

The hotel stay was really good, from the check in process to my checking out. Breakfast was good. Also my room was cleaned daily. Maybe some of the female breakfast staff could cheer up a bit, otherwise I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We had an outstanding stay at Motel One Madrid. The staff were outstanding from the moment we walked into the hotel. The room was perfect—great AC, great size, great all around. The house cleaning staff were the best…very understanding to our needs and helped me with my Spanish and vice versa. There is a great neighborhood associated with the motel, along with numerous restaurants to choose from, a local grocery and many close attractions. It was a wonderful stay of 10 days. Perfect location! Although this hotel is central and has great access to shops, restaurants and several metro stations it was also very quiet so we had a good nights sleep. We arrived late on a Monday night and the receptionist recommended a few nearby restaurants which would still be open. Over the next few days we tried them all and they were all really good and reasonably priced. The room itself and the bathroom were clean and looked like they had been freshly decorated. The room we had had a balcony and although the weather wasn't quite good enough for sunbathing I could see it being a pleasant place to sit on a warm summer's evening. I would recommend the hotel and the area if visiting Madrid.

Motel One Madrid Plaza is a great place to stay. You’re within close walking distance to the palace, Plaza de Espania and a few metro stops that will easily get you around the city. The room was clean, quiet and bed was comfy. Hotel staff were very helpful and I felt they really were invested in making our stay a great one. I highly recommend this property for your next stay in Madrid.

The property is located at a convenient location. There are many restaurants in a walkable distance. It is also easy to get a taxi or Uber. The property is very clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay. Definitely, recommend the property. We also bought breakfast services each day (this is an extra cost). Based on the breakfasts we had in Madrid in other locations, the price seems a little high for the limited food choices available.

It’s a nice hotel, nothing fancy. Best thing about the room was the shower. It’s fantastic! If I ever go back there, I wouldn’t take the breakfast option, it’s not worth the money for what they serve. The fresh fruit salad was the tastiest thing on the buffet. Although I paid ahead for breakfast, I skipped it one morning because there was a family in the hotel who allowed their child to run around the dining room screeching, the first two mornings I was there. There was nothing relaxing about breakfast therefore and it was obvious the staff said nothing to the family, despite complaints.

We chose this hotel because it was moderately priced and it was a great choice.The hotel was modern and updated. The hot water in the shower was great. We had a room opening to the interior and it was a very quiet. The breakfast was good but a bit overpriced, so we only ate there the first day.
