Wayne on Main

The house is an old Victorian with many cool features. The owners leave snacks and drinks out at all times for the guests. The hot breakfast that was provided was very good with lots of side options. The room was clean and comfortable. Our room had a refrigerator and there were microwaves for use in the downstairs space. You will have to climb stairs to get to the guestrooms. We had minor issues with our room - the bathroom door did not close which could make for an awkward situation depending on who your roommates are. By the time we showered later at night, we had no hot water. The bathroom could use some hooks for clothes and towels. Overall, we had a very nice stay and would stay again.

If you've ever wondered what a British B&B feels like, don't wait: book a stay at this 200-year-old home in Honesdale, PA! From the moment you walk in through the double- entrance foyer, it feels like you have crossed the ocean without ever getting on a plane. Downstairs, you are greeted with a parlor, complete with comfortable sofas, a fireplace & an old piano. Through the living room, there are two dining rooms, each with a table set for breakfast. At the bottom of the original wood staircase is another seating area & a low shelf with a collection of teapots & matching teacups. Upstairs is a corridor with numbered rooms on each side; behind each door is a uniquely decorated bedroom & ensuite bathroom. In some rooms - like the one we had - the sink is in the bedroom & the shower & toilet in a separate room. The beds (in our room) were clean & comfortable & we both slept really well! The 3rd floor is a suite: 3 bedrooms that sharing a private sitting area & large bathroom. Oh, how I would have loved to soak in that clawfoot tub! Breakfast was included in our stay, and was plentiful and tasty: scrambled eggs, sausage patties, French toast, bagels, toast, cereals, juices, yogurts & milk were all on offer, all buffet style & eat as much as you want. The B&B manager, a lovely lady called Adrienne, lives onsite. She has established a rock river outside the dining room window, and asks each guest to paint a rock to add to it. I highly recommend this B&B!

The idea is good, and the proprietor is sincere and hard working - however, the physical property is beat. My dining room chair literally broke away under me; the driveway is crazily broken up, and the place has not been painted in far too many years, It does not show well at all.

The two eating areas both had beautiful place settings. A hot breakfast is served with many other breakfast options. The bedroom while somewhat small was very clean, well laid out and comfortable. Free wi-fi is included. Looking forward to the nest stay.

Stayed here for one night when we were attending a concert in Bethel. The place is absolutely darling and very quaint. Now keep in mind, it is an extremely old house built in 1897. Of course the bathrooms were small back then. The place was immaculate And the lady at the desk was so helpful. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. If you want on a sit on the front porch in a rocker with a cup of coffee in the morning then it’s the place for you. If you want a brand new huge bathroom, then go stay at the Hilton. Without a doubt, I will stay there again

We enjoyed the comfort of being home without being in our home. The hostess was friendly and helpful. We had plenty of food and snacks. It was just a lovely experience. Of course, it is always better when less crowded.

The location was very convenient - easy walk into town and the manager was friendly and helpful. However there was a cigarette smell that permeated throughout the property, some times very strong, other times more faint but still present. Also the food, including the snacks, was pretty unhealthy and low quality.

Adrienne was excellent and took very good care of us. The breakfast was amazing! On the other hand, this is an old house and the owners do not keep very good care of it. The driveway has huge holes and the yard is full of old debris. The king size bed was very comfortable however the shower was awful and the rug was very old.

Quaint and dated but great value. Very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful.

I usually don't like to write anything if it's not to say how wonderful something is. Especially when dealing with someone who is nice and tries to please. The building needs a lot of work! On the surface everything looked clean. An unpleasant odor permeated our room. Breakfast was okay. I would not recommend this bed and breakfast.

This an old house that is not lovingly restored. It is patched and jerry rigged, peeling paint, water damaged floors, plastic strips instead of wood molding, a sink that is old and disgusting. The room is so small only one chair and have to squeeze between a corner and the bed to get into it. Cheap linens and a generally scuzzy feeling. Breakfast similar Holiday in express with less choice- no yogurt- only sausage meat. Bread from a plastic bag. Dont know how they passed inspection.

Upon arrival the entire B&B smelled of cigarette smoke. I mentioned to the hostess-she indicated former clients must have smoked. This is a NO SMOKING B&B. I would suggest asking for a room in the back because it can be noisy if you are on the street side. Our hostess, Adrienne was very nice and accommodating throughout our stay.

My host was very sweet and very helpful when I had to change my reservation.

My husband and I were attending a concert @Bethel Woods and needed a place for the night. We usually plan a lot better but, it was a last minute trip. The hotels in the area were booked solid or $400+ for the night. No thanks. The distance was over 20 miles, but it beat the 2+hour ride home after a long day. We were fortunate that a room was available for a very decent price and Adrienne was just lovely upon our arrival. Everything was immaculately clean and I had one of the best nights sleep I have ever had when away from home. I would handsdown visit again.

Friendly host. Comfortable bed. Room needs updating. Toilet in room was not working. Spoke to host about it and left all day and was Not fixed apon return. Had to speak to host again and finally got fixed. Place was pet friendly.

We stayed here as there was nowhere else available nearby. What a mistake, we should have done the extra driving. Our standards aren't high, we're not that bothered about the quality. This place cost more than double what we're paying for the other nights on our trip and was by far the worst we've come across. We're fine with rustic but here "rustic" means bathroom door hanging off it's hinges so it won't shut etc. Only positive was the host was lovely.

I'm a simple guy, the place had my room ready early with a check in note and keys. Huge single bed plenty of pillows. Bathroom little small but no big deal. Breakfast was on time and pleasant. Being in PA to fish she even offered an earlier breakfast time if I needed, very nice.

Background: I was a single woman staying in Honesdale to visit family. Main Street when Wayne on Main is located is in the center of town and close to everything. I was also the only person booked during my 2-night stay (a Mon-Wed stay). FYIs: A little bit of street noise during the day while in my room but only because there was a window air conditioner in the room. At night, it was quiet even with a window open. So, not a "real" con, just an fyi. 2) I would recommend bringing a power strip as this is an older home, so outlets are sparse. I had three devices (watch, iPad, and iPhone) and didn't have an issue after I realized that one of the outlets didn't work. Pros: Adrienne, the host, was great. Even though I was the only guest, she offered to cook me whatever I wanted for breakfast. I declined, as there was plenty of English muffins, bagels, etc. to have and this was my normal breakfast. My king bed (room 4) was comfy. Everything was clean and the room was spacious. I felt so comfortable staying at the Wayne on Main that I came down for breakfast in my pjs/robe - again, knowing that I was the only guest for those two nights. Adrienne has a cute little Pomeranian name Milani, who was friendly, but hardly seen (I love dogs). Each room has it's own key and once inside, a deadbolt. I felt very safe. As I told Adrienne upon my departure, I would definitely stay there again. I felt both comfortable and safe.

Stopped in the middle of the night due to fatigue. A room in an old house on Main Street. The lady was talkative smoking a cigarette with a happy little dog. The room was old and small with a tiny DIY shower. That morning left and didn’t see the lady just left the key.

Adrienne was wonderful and made us feel like home. She was helpful answering our questions about the area and things to do and places to eat. Will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

Having stayed at Wayne on Main before, there was no question I would stay again. Adrienne, the inn keeper, is so sweet and accommodating. I feel very comfortable there, like I’m on my own home. I’ll be back.

Billing upon arrival not always matching price on Orbitz but unable to successfully speak with a human being at Orbitz to resolve. My most recent statement was $40 higher than price on Orbitz

I like this place. If you expect the Hilton it is not. It is different. Very good neighborhood with lots of old well maintained homes. Love the old house. The proprietor is very nice and will do anything you need. Pet friendly st no extra charge.

A very quaint B&B in Hinesdale Pa Rooms are rustic but clean and cozy. Mini fridge and tv in every room with private bathroom. Small but adequate. Pastries and coffee and tea available all day. Adrienne the manage is friendly and will ask what she can do for you. Got back from a wedding at a camp and walked to the Hotel Wayne for a night cap. She texted we were walking there since she saw us park and start walking.

Charming older home is full of potential for an owner with taste and willingness to take on some needed upkeep. Hard-working staff person was lovely but did not have the resources needed. Breakfast was poor: no coffee other than pods for a dirty Keurig.

First the positive, the beds were comfortable and the woman was nice. But the negatives, the outside of the home was rundown looking, the air conditioner was not working, there is a dog the owner owns who ran around the table during breakfast barking, the breakfast itself was a small portion of dried up and hard scrambled eggs and sausage patties that were left over when we came down at 8am. She offered to make us more but we just decided to leave. Also at over $150 a night, way too expensive for what was provided in a town with very little to do. Definitely will not be returning.
