今回同窓会のため上京し1人での宿泊でした。チェックインの時間が22時過ぎになる旨事前に連絡させて頂いていましたが、丁寧に対応していただきスムーズにチェックインできました。シングルのお部屋は隅田川側のコンパクトなお部屋で、大きめなデスクやデスクライト、PCスタンド、高速Wi-Fiも完備されビジネス利用者も快適に過ごせる環境です。セミダブルのゆったり清潔なベッドは寝心地抜群です。バスタブなしのシャワールームですが許容範囲。最上階のテラスからは隅田川からのスカイツリーの眺望が最高で23:30まで利用できます。 朝食はフレンチトーストをメインにサラダやフルーツの種類も豊富でテンション上がりました。特にフレッシュオレンジジュースとそのオレンジの皮を使ったマーマレードが絶品で小さなクロワッサンまでいただいてしまいました。 昨年同じくゲートホテルの京都高瀬川を利用させて頂きとても良かったので、今回東京でもこちら両国に泊まりましたがどちらも素晴らしいロケーションとスタイリッシュなお部屋、更に全体的に若いスタッフの皆さんの爽やかな対応と完璧なホテルだと思いました。 お土産にオレンジマーマレードを買いました。 来月また京都でお世話になります。

Beautiful hotel by the river with wonderful products in the room and a very comfy bed. The breakfast was outstanding. I was ill on my last night here with a sudden intense headache. My partner informed the reception and they gave him some medicine for me. In the morning, when he went for breakfast, they gave him two takeaway bags of breakfast food for him to take up to the room for me, and also checked on my health when we were leaving. The hotel roof terrace was beautiful with excellent views of the skytree. Thank you 😊

Great rooftop lounge and beautiful interior decor. Clean and modern room with a working desk. Great view of the Sumida River. Very friendly and helpful staff. I love the room lighting and the hard-working air purifier. Convenient location across the street from the Ryogoku station and lots of restaurants.

Great location, it's just minutes of walk away from JR station, easy access to kombini, local restaurants, and just one station away from major shopping area and supermarket. The hotel itself is great, it's new and clean, with comfortable beds and modern interior design. Staff are great, they had no problem with English. The only thing that I would like to see is self-serve laundry. That would make our 5 night stay much better.

入住6晚，一進房就發現被排定的樓層，窗子跟車道靠很近，車子的噪音很明顯，而且光害嚴重窗戶都不能打開。有點小失望。 再來其中一晚回到房間發現冷氣滴水在床上，請工作人員上來處理，原本希望換房間，但工作人員將冷氣孔用毛巾擦了並換了新棉被後說如果之後還有繼續滴，才要換房間。所以，從12點工作人員離開之後，我們自行觀察冷氣到兩點才入睡。 要離開的前一天晚上，收拾行李到12點要入睡時，才發現床單上有明顯的血跡（血塊）非常確定非客人造成。 急請工作人員處理，現場服務態度很好，但除了換棉被之外也無法給我們合理的解釋。使用翻譯軟體溝通到深夜最後留言要求隔天提供給我們一個說法。 但是當天退房的時候，飯店櫃檯沒有任何的反應。 主動詢問之後感覺到櫃檯並沒有認真看待前晚的事，也沒有任何處理意願，最後只再度出動翻譯軟體打出「昨天棉被上有血，很抱歉」之後靜默，連口頭的道歉都沒有。感受到這樣的態度，因為我們急著要搭車，所以就直接離去。 其實床單上有新鮮血液，真的很噁心。尤其我為了確認是什麼還湊近聞過。飯店這樣的處理態度讓人覺得很敷衍也很失望，有些事不是拿出不痛不癢的道歉就可以的。也不是所有的道歉，我們都應該欣然接受。 但當時為了不要影響旅遊的心情，我們選擇了離開。但也決定在這裡公布這次不好的經驗，提供大家參考。而且絕對不會推薦也不會再入住這家飯店。

Large spacious rooms in a great location. I stayed here a couple of years ago and loved it. However this time around I was a bit let down by the staff’s inability to problem solve effectively and the cleanliness of the room. The room was incredibly dusty due to the amount of dust on the air vents (which are right above the beds). You could see the dust in the air, it made me cough so much. When I requested for it to be cleaned the staff just couldn’t handle a simple request, the walked all over my hotel room in their shoes and got dust all over my bed in a poor attempt to clean the vent.

Ups and lows: Location is great and easily reachable by subway, lots of supermarkets and kombinis around, and a view on the stadion or Sumida river. Rooms are pretty big for Japanese standards and very clean. Unfortunately there definitely is a bad smell coming from the bathroom. Furthermore, the hotel has NO lobby. Also they told me for a longer stay I would get free coffee from the Restaurant, and then at the check-out they charged me. So overall a bad experience.

Amazing location right next to Ryogoku station. Lots of dining options around the area and connected to many parts of Tokyo. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy. However if you have a room facing the river you are next to a highway and you can very slightly hear the cars. Not enough to wake you up, but if it's quiet you can hear them occasionally.

Location: The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station. There are complaints in some reviews about the highway noise but it didn't bother me. My room was facing the river by the highway and for the most part I didn't hear much or whatever sounds I did hear were muted. I had a room on the 6th floor so that also might be why the sound was less intense for me vs being on the bottom floors closer to the highway. Japan in general is really safe and the area is really safe. I was walking around late at night by myself and didn't feel unsafe at all. I noticed a lot of foreigners in the area. As a frequent traveler to Japan, I have always admired the exceptional hospitality the country is known for. However, my experience at The Gate Hotel Ryogoku was profoundly disappointing due to unprofessionalism, poor judgment, and invasive policies. In May, after traveling for over a month, I felt unwell and requested ginger from the kitchen. I was told they had none. After buying my own ginger, I asked the staff to grate it and requested honey from the buffet I had used previously. Both requests were denied, citing my lack of a breakfast-inclusive reservation. Even when I brought my tea to the buffet to add honey myself, I was refused. During my recent stay, I was informed that any request for honey would incur a charge, though no one could specify the amount. Such rigid and illogical behavior was frustrating. Additionally, I always display the “Do Not Disturb” sign to protect my valuables and maintain privacy, leaving my room clean and organized. Overall is ok, check in wasnt as smooth as expected If hotel's check-in is listed at 3:00 PM, that means every guest, whether they arrived early or not, gets the same treatment, even 5mins early is not possible and you will get charge for additional night, when you arrives after 17hrs flights is very tiring to hear, despite that, we would like to shout out to the housekeeping team, who is outside the corridor waiting to clean our room everyday, and special thanks to Hirotsugu Matsuoka san thank you for making us feel so special and welcome on our return

Large spacious rooms in a great location. I stayed here a couple of years ago and loved it. However this time around I was a bit let down by the staff’s inability to problem solve effectively and the cleanliness of the room. The room was incredibly dusty due to the amount of dust on the air vents (which are right above the beds). You could see the dust in the air, it made me cough so much. When I requested for it to be cleaned the staff just couldn’t handle a simple request, the walked all over my hotel room in their shoes and got dust all over my bed in a poor attempt to clean the vent.

Personnel accueillant et souriant, nous avions demandé une chambre en étage haut et ils nous en ont fournit une au 8è et avant dernier étage. La chambre était vraiment top, assez spacieuse, propre, grand lit TRÈS confortable et c'est important de le noter, lumières adaptatives et toilettes avec cuvette chauffante. L’hôtel en lui même est plutôt bien situé, à moins de 5min du métro et 20/30min à pied de asakusa/akihabara. Pour les points négatifs, smart TV non fonctionnelle, ça reste anecdotique mais c'est à savoir, par contre le gros bémol était que nous étions dans une chambre côté rivière sumida, une voie rapide était situé en dessous de notre chambre causant beaucoup de bruit dû au passage des voitures à haute vitesse de jour comme de nuit. Les nuisances sonores étaient vraiment désagréables malgré la bonne insonorisation globale de la chambre. Cependant je donne malgré tout 5 étoiles car le personnel a su faire le nécessaire pour nous changer de chambre dès le lendemain de notre signalement en. Ils ont également conservés nos valises après notre départ de l'hôtel afin que nous puissions profiter de notre dernière journée sans nous occuper de nos bagages.

Such a good deal for a really nice, new hotel. It’s not as bustling as other parts of Tokyo but if you are wanting to relax it’s great. Rooms are very nice and location near Ryogoku station and water taxis was perfect.

Amazing location right next to Ryogoku station. Lots of dining options around the area and connected to many parts of Tokyo. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy. However if you have a room facing the river you are next to a highway and you can very slightly hear the cars. Not enough to wake you up, but if it's quiet you can hear them occasionally.

Amazing hotel close to everything and only 15 min by train to Tokyo Station. We had the view of the Sumido river and Ryoguku stadium, where the Sumo Grand tournament is held when in Tokyo, a walking distance from multiple restaurants, parks, museums, shops, temples, etc, etc. I will return here if I come back to Tokyo.

The location is great. It is close to the train station and lots of restaurants around the hotel. The hotel is located by the river. The scenery is great, but my room was faced to the highway. 両国国技館に一番近いホテルです。 道を挟んで目の前でしたので、本当に利便性が良く助かりました。 朝食もいただきました。とても美味しかったです。 蜂蜜たっぷりの蜂の巣や発酵バターも最高で、特に美味しかったのはオレンジジュースです。 また是非宿泊したいです。 この度はありがとうございました。

Beautiful hotel by the river with wonderful products in the room and a very comfy bed. The breakfast was outstanding. I was ill on my last night here with a sudden intense headache. My partner informed the reception and they gave him some medicine for me. In the morning, when he went for breakfast, they gave him two takeaway bags of breakfast food for him to take up to the room for me, and also checked on my health when we were leaving. The hotel roof terrace was beautiful with excellent views of the skytree. Thank you 😊
