Stayed 4 nights

We recently had the opportunity to stay at a lovely large house that boasted a spacious kitchen and central heating and cooling, making it quite comfortable for our group. However, our experience was marred by several issues that need addressing. While the house itself was impressive, we were disappointed to find that the all-white towels provided were stained and had hairs on them. Fortunately, we found some bleach and were able to wash them ourselves. More concerning was the condition of the downstairs toilet, which was blocked upon our arrival. We notified the management first thing Friday morning, as we had checked in late the previous night. Although they assured us that maintenance would be contacted, I had to follow up in the afternoon and was informed that it would take some time to resolve. Unfortunately, by the end of our stay, the toilet had still not been repaired. With six bedrooms in the house, this became quite inconvenient. Additionally, the overall cleanliness of the property left much to be desired. There were numerous marks on the walls and visible repair patches that detracted from the otherwise lovely atmosphere of the home. The upstairs smoke alarm had no battery and was not operational. The lack of communication regarding these issues, along with the absence of any offer for a partial refund, was disappointing. While the house had great potential, these shortcomings significantly impacted our stay.
