Average stay, but for the price it was good. Bed or Mattress could definitely be better. Also it’s impossible to sleep with the window open for fresh air, as the street below is one of the busiest in town.

one of those places that is not actually a hotel, but rooms with just a bed. Shared bathroom. reception is actually a person who is looking over many rooms like this in many adjacent apartments. You stay because you want the location, or everything else is sold out.

I knew going in that it was a shared bathroom so it was about as good as could be expected from that standpoint. Checking in, however was an ordeal. First, I had to really search to find where I checked in. When I finally got them to answer the door, I was told I could check in at 3:30PM. It was 1:30 PM at the time so I just wanted to drop my luggage off to store so I could go see the city. He was adamant about not holding luggage in a reserved area, even though they were a hotel. Instead, I had to pull my large suitcase along the cobbled paths as I attempted to view attractions. The people were not rude, they just didn’t provide many benefits for staying there.

Rooms like this can make traveling very affordable. This was the most charming little place with a view out the window over Via Settembre. Finding it with Google Maps was a little bit of a challenge as it gets you to the right spot but needs a little fine tuning in the description. But once you find it is well worth it. It’s a little James Bondish in its method of access with its large wooden doors, marble steps and man sized elevator which makes it all the more clever. And they use keys, not plastic cards. Clean and clever. I highly recommend. Just a note if you are renting a car or traveling by motorcycle the secure garage parking is about 30 euros a day. But if you are in and out during the day it is about 20 for overnight only. Also this particular garage locks up at 12 am and opens at 8am so if you need your vehicle before 8am you might need to consider this. It worked out perfect for me.
