The pool are was a bit run down in places(tiles in the pool and around the pool missing and paint chipping in many places by quite a bit around the pool areas). Rooms were good and also public areas. Lacked a bit of atmosphere. Surprisingly quiet for Easter half term. Location great for eating out and shops. Sun loungers not the most comfortable. Rubbish around the pool areas. More like a 4 star than 5 in my opinion.

If you are booking this hotel you must note that the main pool is out of use this summer. I was unaware of this until I checked in which was very disappointing. I would recommend only staying here if you want a hotel as a base. If you want to relax around the pool, the pools that are open are not relaxing due to being dominated by small children and quite crowded.

Der Service und die Freundlichkeit des Hotel Personals war 1a. Sehr sauber, leider wurde der defekte Duschkopf erst auf verlangen gewechselt, das Gym war gut ausgestattet, leider fehlte es an Yoga Matten, der Wellness Bereich war ein Witz schlecht hin. Rundum ist die Anlage inklusive Zimmer ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und entspricht meiner Meinung nach nicht mehr einem 5 Sterne Standard und schon gar nicht für diesen Preis.

We stayed in the club for 3 nights, everything was perfect, adult area was lovely, the pool was heated, pool bar was great.. we even had a free bar from 6 til 8 every night where we mixed our own drinks.. Friendly, welcoming and efficient staff made our stay a pleasure. The Volcan Club area (adults only) was ideal for us, quiet, with a great pool area with bar. Our room was perfect with a good seating area and a sea view across to Fuerteventura. Fabulous breakfast, afternoon tea, and an evening bar were all excellent.

We stayed 4 nights in the adults only area (Club Volcan) in mid February, The hotel overall is very clean, not too busy, and the Club Volcan area is exclusive with excellent breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening bar, all inclusive with the price. The outdoor heated pool, sunbed and jacuzzi are clean and well maintained. There is fast WiFi, but only in certain areas, and not really in our room. Overall, an excellent experience with very efficient and helpful staff.

Difficile scrivere questa recensione. hotel bellissimo, in ottima zona, con 5 piscine di cui 2 riscaldate, anche ad agosto (e serviva). personale cortese, colazione ottima. zona comodissima, al porto turistico, con tanti ristoranti comodamente raggiungibili camminando. parcheggio interrato disponibile sempre. eventi serali tranquilli. stanze ampie, anche se in alcuni casi da risistemare. Ne abbiamo infatti provate 2 diverse, perchè nella prima abbiamo rinvenuto dopo la prima notte ben 3 scarafaggi enormi. Dopo nostra insistenza, ci hanno cambiato la camera. Ecco avrei preferito non dover insistere in un 5 stelle per cambiare la stanza (si erano offerti di dare ddt, con una bimba di 4 anni...). Consiglio quindi di NON prendere camere al piano terra. Per il resto ottimo 5 stelle.

Nytt vellykket opphold her. Anlegget er flott, både innendørs (bl.a."regnskogen") og ute med mange oppholdsplasser og småpooler. Frokosten har vi alltid vært imponert over - også denne gang med hyggelig og effektivt frokostpersonale. Håndklærne skiftes nesten for ofte. Adkomst fra flyplassen ble gjort med offentlig buss, avreisen med ganske rimelig taxi.

We love this hotel and return often. The hotel appears to retain staff, always a good sign, they are helpful and friendly. Rooms and surrounding areas are spotless. Good quality food but we would like to see a better choice for lunch, soup, sandwiches, baguettes. Evening entertainment is varied and good. Personal muy amable. Tanto en el pasillo de acceso a la habitación (situada en planta baja) como dentro de la propia habitación había cucarachas. The Volcan is a lovely resort with very good staff and service. I gave it only four stars for several reasons. The food was very bland and boring and we ate in the restaurant at night just twice in 11 nights. Apparently there was another restaurant on site but it was closed. Fortunately we were at the Marina with lots of food options and ate there the rest of the time. We had Breakfast there, but no fresh strawberries, Raspberries or Blueberries. The fruit was very repetitious. There were poached eggs offered once and never saw any again. The cold fruit and cereal area got squeezed into a small buffet when there was obviously a big influx of European’s expected,as the cold meat and cheese offerings were spread out with lots of room where the fruit had been. There was no nice bar to come back to for a nightcap for a quiet drink. The only option was the room they had the entertainment in and we went in on our first night and it was like we were in God’s waiting room. Purple light and a weird atmosphere. Silence and everyone on their phones. That was enough for us. Had our own nightcap in our room. The outside areas with pools is great but getting a little run down in need of some repairs and painting. There was peeling paint on the floors in a number of places. On the plus side, our room was spotlessly clean and the housekeeping staff were amazing. Would I go back, maybe, but probably not. Too many other places in the world to visit.

It is a lovely hotel in a great location but it is starting to get a bit shoddy. Our aircon was very noisy and couldnt cool the room. Staff are frosty. This was my 10th visit to this hotel. No recognition. The spa staff told us we could have a free pass for an initial visit to the indoor pool but when we asked for this at reception, not only did they deny this, they looked at us like we were low life. It was understaffed and very hard to get a drink through table service during the increasingly amateurish shows. Buffet remains nice for both breakfast and evening meal. The new Barcelo has opened next door and I might give that a try next time.

Lovely hotel with great amenities and excellent location. The room was excellent and had a selection of great pools and bars/restaurants. The Marina is a 1 minute walk away and has amazing shops/bars/restaurants. All the staff were friendly and were happy to help with anything. The breakfast buffet had an excellent selection of food and drinks and the quality was very good. The only one slight bad point was the bed mattress was very hard. We would definitely visit again if going back to the Island.

We had a club room so this review is based on that experience. Check in was quick and friendly. The room was clean and huge. The pool area was lovely and clean with no hassle getting a sun lounger. All the staff were fantastic and the food was great. Will definitely stay again.

We stayed here for the 70.3 race. The hotel is perfect as it’s right by the start. The rooms are a little tired but well equipped and very comfortable. We didn’t need the air conditioning mulch but when we did try to use it it was noisy and ineffective. The staff were delightful - always helpful. Buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent and great value. Our only complaint was that we were woken every morning at 6am as they wheeled service trolleys above our room.

The room was a good size with seperate sitting area and looked exactly as I expected from the pictures in website. TV incuded British channels and was huge. Lots of sets of stairs/ steps around the grounds which didn't all have bannisters or rails which made it difficult/ dangerous for clients with reduced mobility.

Spectacular reception area with its indoor waterfall. Reception staff pleasant but lacking a bit in service: didn’t explain directions to room very well perhaps a ‘bellboy’ to show us room/help with bags? On the contrary when we entered our room we noticed a bad ‘drain smell’ - but this was fixed the time we returned from lunch. The hotel it’self was in a great position over looking the marina and everything you would need from beaches to restaurants was in easy walking distance.

Wirklich originelle Empfangshalle und interessanter Style, alles in allem aber ein recht normales Hotel mit kleinen Ups and Downs. Das Team beim (wirklich sehr überfüllten) Frühstück gibt sein Bestes, viele von ihnen sind sehr freundlich und zugewandt. Auch Marta von der Rezeption war immer mit einem freundlichen Lächeln ansprechbar (und hat uns einen tollen Restaurant-Tipp gegeben).

I have been staying at the Hotel LIVVO Volcán, Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, several times a year for over 20 years, as indeed have many of the hotel’s returning clients. The hotel itself is beautiful and the cuisine at breakfast and dinner is outstanding with a vast array of options to suit every palate and all dietary requirements. The staff are delightful - warm, welcoming, caring and most helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Many have been there for years, a testament to the hotel’s culture and environment. It’s my ‘happy place’ and where I always say ‘my soul is at peace’ - indeed, I feel blessed to consider it my second home. I have just returned from a wonderful relaxing holiday and I’ll be going back again in November. What more can I say? - I absolutely love it! A huge thank you to all the staff for another memorable stay. See you again soon!

Situé devant la Marina Rubicon, avec une très agréable promenade avec boutiques et restaurants, cet hôtel à l'architecture incroyable aux intérieurs et extérieurs très luxuriants, dans un style canarien se démarque des autres hôtels. On entre par une surprenante "chapelle" avec bougies et encens et larges canapés pour s'y apaiser. Personnels de Réception accueillants et serviables ; Check in et check out rapides et efficaces. Chambre magnifique et très spacieuse avec frigo, climatisation, grande salle de bains avec baignoire (sels de bains, shampoing, après shampoing, gel douche, lait pour le corps et peignoirs)et WC séparé, coffre-fort, parapluie et grands rangements penderie. Avec un supplément belle terrasse vue sur mer équipée de transats, de chaises et d'une petite table. Plusieurs piscines et suffisamment de transats et de recoins entourés de végétation pour passer un bon moment. Serviettes de piscine fournies et changées tous les jours comme celles de la chambre. La salle de restaurant est remarquablement bien agencée avec sa terrasse sur pilotis au-dessus de la piscine. Petit déjeuner buffet très varié, pour tous les goûts du sucré et du salé avec du vrai jus d'orange, des fruits, différents pains. Buffet également le soir si demi-pension. Seul bémol, la bouteille d'eau d'un litre à 5 € un peu abusé ! Animations musicales tous les soirs. Il est préférable de louer une voiture, CICAR les yeux fermés. Parking couvert gratuit et nombreuses places devant l'hôtel.

Set up like a Spanish village right by marina with many great shops and restaurants.Very clean and staff very friendly and welcoming.Pools were great always plenty of free sunbeds.Food of very good quality. Only downside was soundproofing could be better but not much of a problem. About half an hour or so from airport. Not the hustle and bustle of other resorts perhaps but exactly what we wanted.

We were delighted with LIVVO Volcán. The hotel has a fine setting close to the newly developed Marina Rubicon and is stunningly designed, with a replica church, volcano and Canarian architecture. Our room was very comfortable with attractive garden view, spacious and peaceful. Food in the Florida buffet restaurant is excellent. All hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great holiday and look forward to a return visit.

The fruit was very repetitious. There were poached eggs offered once and never saw any again. The cold fruit and cereal area got squeezed into a small buffet when there was obviously a big influx of European’s expected,as the cold meat and cheese offerings were spread out with lots of room where the fruit had been. There was no nice bar to come back to for a nightcap for a quiet drink. The only option was the room they had the entertainment in and we went in on our first night and it was like we were in God’s waiting room. Purple light and a weird atmosphere. Silence and everyone on their phones. That was enough for us. Had our own nightcap in our room. The outside areas with pools is great but getting a little run down in need of some repairs and painting. There was peeling paint on the floors in a number of places. On the plus side, our room was spotlessly clean and the housekeeping staff were amazing. Would I go back, maybe, but probably not. Too many other places in the world to visit.

Great location but having returned again from November not worth the money . The standard of food was noticeably different . I asked if new chef since November and the staff said yes ! Really disappointed in food , generally poor , tasteless, very poor hygiene - pulled chef up about using same tongs with raw meet as cooked he didn’t understand what I said. Very very disappointing as returned for the food ! I think most guests felt the same it was at the best average ! I had two undercooked poached eggs , raw chicken and raw pork the chef tends to rush the cooking of the fresh meats ! The containers where the prunes and figs were were dirty daily I think the pots just refilled but never washed as finger prints all over the plastic and left over prunes and fig stains in the grey bowl part . Deserts tasteless and although plenty no taste at all as well as the cheese. Totally different experience with the food than November 2023 ! Please hotel volcan - take note it’s really noticeable and many people talking about it around the pool - regulars ! If I came again I’d never go half board . I honestly think it’s a real issue with health and food hygiene and could result in guests becoming ill ! Please stop cross contamination by using different tongs for the raw meet and picking and turning the cooked meat ! When I pointed it out two guests agreed and just said they just won’t listen ! Also if restaurant closes at 10 don’t make guests feel wrong asking for an omelette at 5 to 10 !
