Very impressive hotel, lovely spacious communal areas on ground floor. Very clean. Good food in main restaurant, buffet on two nights we were there, menu on the other night. The pool area was lovely. The coffee shop was open for lunch the first day, then closed for the season which was a shame. Lovely indoor spa and pool but you need a swimming cap for the pool. The sauna, steam room and shower was split by men and women but was inside the pool area rather than in the spa itself. Room was spacious, good prices in mini bar. Great shower. Two sinks in bathroom. Robes and slippers provided. An uber to Porto costs about €19. Well worth it but you can walk to Granja station in 20 mins and catch the train in for €2.40. Walking distance to bars and restaurants in Espinho down the boardwalk. Enjoyed seafood at A Cabana and walked back in 20 mins. The bar nearest to the hotel at the boardwalk is cheap and on the beach.

Nice stay. Great indoor pool, with sauna etc. Both pools have salted water. Kids didn't like the salty taste in the pool. Breakfast with cold boiled eggs?? Undercooked style omelets ? Other than this, ok breakfast .

Very nice staff. They all spoke English. Loved our stay. Beach is beautiful. Only complaint is ths bed is hard, but all the hotels this trip the beds are hard so maybe its a thing in Spain and Portugal. No hot tub.. they have thermal spa. You have to make a reservation and its 17euros per person

The hotel itself is wonderful with great amenities, on the beach , amazing breakfast and the staff were fantastic. The bed was so comfortable and I loved the in room bath. Walking distance to supermarket etc and great beach walks. Our only complaint is that we went 130 kms out of our way to stay here specifically because of the indoor pool And steam /turkish bath facilities- having just walked the 320 km Camino walk. On arrival (we booked the day prior) we found the pool Was closed due to an accident (which I understand). However the next morning and our only full day which we planned to relax and use the sauna etc they decided to also close these facilities. So our only option was a cold outdoor pool which was not ideal. It would have been nice of we were notified of these closures prior to or on arrival because to be honest we would have sourced another hotel with the facilities we specifically wanted. No one could give me an answer as to why the sauna etc was closed so I am None the wiser. Very disappointing to what would have otherwise been a fantastic stay.

Great place, slightly far from Porto district but the free shuttle provided by the hotel to & back compensates for that. Close to beach, loved the boardwalk to the beach. Both indoor and outdoor pool options. Great breakfast spread, Electric car charging on the property. All in all a great place to stay!!

Bel hôtel avec de superbes prestations (salle de sport, piscines chauffées intérieure et extérieure, sauna, billard, tennis, un accès privé à la mer…). Le personnel est serviable et discret. Parking sur place très pratique. Malgré un aspect peu moderne, les chambres sont d’un grand confort, d’une hygiène irréprochable et une vue sur la mer qui ne gâche rien 😊 De plus, On est assez rapidement sur Porto en voiture

La habitación muy limpia ,el servicio de habitaciones de lo mejor( nosotros fuimos con una niña de tres años y pedíamos leche para el bibe) muy atentos siempre y con la niña siempre tenían detalles ..Cómo vi en muchas páginas los comentarios de la ducha,ya la actualizaron y ahora pusieron mamparas de cristal...las piscinas nos encantaron de auga salada y climatizadas,dentro y fuera..el spa ( chorros y eso) está aparte no en las piscinas y lo hay k pagar aparte...acceso directo a la playa.. La comida del cofee shoop tenía poca variedad la carta para nuestro gusto pero muy amables todos y muy atentos y todo muy limpio

Superb ! Staff super friendly, special mention to the restaurant staff , they were amazing as was the food, and the cleaning staff, it was the small touches that made all the difference, I really felt like I was being cared for. The salt water swimming pools were great , you can literally just float your woes away . A really quiet and calm atmosphere in the hotel Large safe outdoor parking . I could go on and on . I will definitely be back

Ein wirklich ordentliches und sauberes Hotel. Alles ist gepflegt. Beim Hinterausgang zum Meer, gab es kleinere Bauarbeiten. Das hat nicht gestört. Schade, dass das Wetter nicht mitspielte. Dafür war der Wellnessbereich da. Beim Baden ist eine Mütze Pflicht. Alles Behindertengerecht. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Que dire d'un hôtel 5* qui a un service de ménage qui soit ne passe pas l'aspirateur, soit laisse les taies d'oreillers sales sur la table de nuit, soit ne fait pas la poussière.... Petit déjeuner buffet pas très varié qd vous y êtes pour plusieurs jours. Piscine intérieure vétuste le carrelage s'en va le long du bassin. Peignoirsbetvserviettes vieillissantes. Environnement pas très calme, des bruits de travaux des 7h du matin. Le point positif un accès à la plage direct

El alojamiento está muy anticuado, la habitación nada cómoda para familias, ya que no tienen habitaciones familiares, si vas en familia tendrás dos habitaciones comunicadas, esto con niños pequeños es muy incómodo. Las almohadas muy viejas y malas. Albornoces con manchas. Para desayunar hemos tenido que hacer cola, y esperar unos 20 min, el desayuno no es vistas al mar como he leído, es un salón interior. El desayuno simple, se podría mejorar. El Spa HAY QUE PAGARLO A PARTE , no está incluido en el alojamiento. No volvería a repetir.

Sauberkeit ist top, essenbuffet ist auch gut aber leider in einen Seminarraum und eher null Atmosphäre. Service gut aber der Ort hat nichts zu bieten und ist eher einheimisch. Der Strand mit Kindern eher nicht benutzbar

This is a lovely 1970's resort hotel that has been updated. The spa and pool area are fantastic. You can access the beach and beach trail which is simply gorgeous. Most rooms have private balconies with ocean views. The hotel restaurant service was horrible and the food was almost inedible at dinner. Breakfast was fine, but very crowded.

The hotel and staff were all amazing. I do find I have to mention a couple of things though. When you stay in any hotel above 3 star, you expect to have a kettle and tea/coffee facilities in the room. This is not the case here. I had to request this and I was charged €19, which to me is unfair. I asked for an iron which didn’t work, it was changed two days after and then the next day, it was taken away. Why can’t this 5 star property have kettles & irons in every room.?? The staff I must mention are: Ana & Sofia at reception. Antonio at the door. Cècilia & Antonio in the breakfast/dining room. These members of staff went out of their way to help in any way requested, be it for directions, transport, food requests and just generally, very welcoming. Loved the place, the location and having a free hotel shuttle to & from the town centre everyday is amazing, thank you.

We’re a family of 2 adults and 2 kids and I had to book 2 hotel rooms in this hotel which is absolutely crazy to me since I’ve been able to book 1 room for the 4 of us in every hotel I’ve been to. The rooms are spacious and the bed is big so there’s no need to have this policy for 2 little kids. Overall the hotel is really nice, good breakfast and the pool and playground are great too. But to have to book 2 rooms just because there’s 2 kids is a real inconvenience.

All’hotel Solverde si sta sempre benissimo… siamo loro clienti da diversi anni. La colazione è eccezionale…. unica cosa che non ho apprezzato è il nuovo inserimento della macchinetta del caffè ma tutto il resto è rimasto invariato. I letti sono comodissimi e le camere molto silenziose.

An der Rezeption wurden wir recht unfreundlich begrüßt und behandelt, offensichtlich, weil wir mit Rucksack (zuvor Pilgertour) angereist waren. Auch wurde uns unterstellt, dass wir Fehlangaben bei der Buchung (falsche Altersangabe beim Sohn) haben. Wir haben korrekt gebucht; eine Entschuldigung ob der Unannehmlichkeiten (wir mussten lange an der Rezeption warten und fühlten uns wie Betrügende) blieb aus.

It’s quite common for hotels to restock these items daily, so only getting them on arrival—and having to purchase basics like milk afterward—feels a bit stingy. Very impressive hotel, lovely spacious communal areas on ground floor. Very clean. Good food in main restaurant, buffet on two nights we were there, menu on the other night. The pool area was lovely. The coffee shop was open for lunch the first day, then closed for the season which was a shame. Lovely indoor spa and pool but you need a swimming cap for the pool. The sauna, steam room and shower was split by men and women but was inside the pool area rather than in the spa itself. Room was spacious, good prices in mini bar. Great shower. Two sinks in bathroom. Robes and slippers provided. An uber to Porto costs about €19. Well worth it but you can walk to Granja station in 20 mins and catch the train in for €2.40. Great place, slightly far from Porto district but the free shuttle provided by the hotel to & back compensates for that. Close to beach, loved the boardwalk to the beach. Both indoor and outdoor pool options. Great breakfast spread, Electric car charging on the property. All in all a great place to stay!!

Located just outside Espinho, but around a 2km walk along the broadwalk, which you can access at the rear of the hotel. Or a little bit more than 2km if you go via the main road, but with wide sidewalks. Uber here is the cheapest I’ve seen so around £5. The beach outside the hotel is rocky, but another 5 min walk to the left, you can find a sandy area. We arrived early and was allowed to make use of the facilities until our room was ready at 4pm. The staff were top notch and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was included and had a great selection. The room was a good size and cleaned everyday. This hotel is across from a Lidl supermarket incase you need to grab anything. I’ll also like to mention there are 2 saltwater pools but for indoor one, please pack your swim cap. There are plenty of chairs available indoor and outdoors. There is a hotel shuttle that takes you into Porto at 10am each morning if you want to go do some historical and wine tasting tours. If you are into casinos Espinho also has a casino. I would definitely stay here again!

El alojamiento está muy anticuado, la habitación nada cómoda para familias, ya que no tienen habitaciones familiares, si vas en familia tendrás dos habitaciones comunicadas, esto con niños pequeños es muy incómodo. Las almohadas muy viejas y malas. Albornoces con manchas. Para desayunar hemos tenido que hacer cola, y esperar unos 20 min, el desayuno no es vistas al mar como he leído, es un salón interior. El desayuno simple, se podría mejorar. El Spa HAY QUE PAGARLO A PARTE , no está incluido en el alojamiento. No volvería a repetir.

Excelentes instalações. A piscina externa aquecida é com água salgada, o que é um diferencial extraordinário. As instalações estão precisando de mais atenção da manutenção, mas nada fora do normal. Os menus de almoço e jantar são bem equilibrados e o maitre e equipes de atendimento excelentes. O café é farto e os aperitivos de vinho do Porto são brindes que nos surpreenderam agradavelmente. Valeu muito a experiência. Obrigado a todos do hotel.

We had a wonderful time at the Solverde hotel. We enjoyed the room, food and the swimming pool a lot. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Thank you to the staff, their thoughtfulness made our stay very enjoyable.
We had a wonderful time at the Solverde hotel. We enjoyed the room, food and the swimming pool a lot. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Thank you to the staff, their thoughtfulness made our stay very enjoyable.
