Best Western Plus Stephenville Inn

I wouldn't recommend that deathtrap to anyone. I have to use a walker. We were on the 4th floor. The elevator took forever to get to the 1st floor. It was so tiny that we barely fit 4 people in it. When we finally reached the top floor, none of us thought the door would open. The next day when we called to check for breakfast time, nothing was said about the elevator but it was broken. So when we tried to go down, of course we could not. When we called, we were told it wouldn't be fixed until maybe noon... checkout is at 11am... use the stairs. Its 4 flights and I'm disabled. How am I supposed to do that?? And carry luggage??? And have a Walker??? And how is housekeeping able to come up at 8:30AM?? but a Disabled person has to use the stairs??? Don't they have a special elevator? Half of the hallway lights flicker like a horror movie and the hall feels like an oven. And the downstairs bathroom has no doors. Unbelievable. And they refused to cancel my bookings later in the week after making me live thru the nightmare of their deathtrap. Don't come here. Best Western is NOT what they used to be. Not to be trusted like they used to be. I only booked here because my mom always did when we were kids. Today, 08/11/2026, I buried her. I went to Stephenville to get my son set up in his dorm then drive back for her funeral today. The last thing we needed was a bad place to stay. Some things can't be helped, I know. Its how its handled that makes the difference

The elevator was broken. Wasn’t told til after I checked in. And wasn’t allowed a refund.

Toilet would not flush but other than that it was a quick good stay

I’m not going to lie, I’m big on reviews and I walked into the hotel skeptical because I saw a couple of mixed ones but had an open mind and hoped for the best. Upon arrival I was greeted by smiling faces that immediately made me feel at home. I walked into my nice and clean room and I was very pleased. The breakfast was great, coffee was amazing, and overall loved my stay! I felt safe, was greeted every time I walked passed the front desk, my room was near the front so that was another plus. Housekeeping was friendly and cleaned my room very well. The pool was a little chilly but we went in anyway. I’m so glad I chose this hotel, and like I told staff, y’all will totally be my “go to” whenever I make my way up to stephenville! Thank you for everything, and for making my stay comfortable.
