IMPORTANT : It is £30 to use the POOL ! Pool and Sauna/Steam Room etc. and Pool use costs £30 The Website does state this if you open a few Drop-Down menus. Unless you're looking for it -you won't open the text. It is very much the proverbial 'small print' I just booked using Tesco Vouchers saw the hotel, Bar & Pool/Sauna photos and assumed this would be free to Hotel Guests. NEVER ASSUME It's the first time I've come across this - so I will be wise next time. The Hotel is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS in all other aspects however. I was just disappointed with this cost. £30 is daylight robbery.

Didn’t feel like 5 star. The pillows were very cheap as was the duvet and the gym was closed at 8pm and only open at 7am which you don’t expect from a 5* hotel. My room was a weird U shape and felt cold and stark as the main light had cool bulbs in it. If I was staying for leisure, I’d have been very disappointed

Lovely new hotel in a great location. However, to charge £30 to use the pool and gym as a hotel guest is a disgrace. As a frequent traveller on business this is how I unwind after travelling etc. Due to this, I will not stay here again. Sort out your pricing for the facilities!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Upon arrival, we were offered canapés while we waited to check in. The doorman asked why we were visiting, and when I mentioned it was for my wife’s birthday, he kindly returned with a gift of chocolates for her. We loved the high ceilings in our room, and it was beautifully decorated. The bar area was stunning, and we enjoyed our drinks, although the £30 for two cocktails felt a bit pricey. I would definitely recommend this hotel; it deserves 5 stars! Additionally, the parking across the road for £13 for 24 hours was very convenient. The only downside was that using the pool required an extra fee.

Lovely hotel but let down by one greedy policy - that being to charge residents to use the pool. Using the pool between 8am and 10am, you are charged £30 each, at all other times, that charge increases to £50 each. Given the cost to stay here, you would expect access to the pool to be complimentary for residents.

The hotel was great. The restaurant had delicious food, if a little expensive. The spa was cool, but very small and too expensive for what it was. The steam room was not working and they kept the price the same.

We have been to the bar in the hotel many times and although a lovely place the service is so slow - at times its painful. But, for my wifes birthday we decided as it was a lovely hotel to stay over for the night. Check in was great and the guy to showed us to room (i think has name was jude) was brilliant - a credit to the hotel The room was not great, very small and compact, on arrival into the room it was dirty with plastic wrappers on the floor and used room keys on the t station what made it worse was the show cushions had a crusty white stain on them.... they should have been binned and not placed on a bed for somebody else. Overall the room was okay but the cleanliness was poor The bathroom was lovely and the shower was hot but the drains absolutely stunk!! For the whole duration the bathroom stunk, our time in the room was minimal so we just chose to get on with it We got ready for a night out and went down for a drink where once again the service awful and around a 10 minute wait sat at the bar before managing to ask for a drink, other customers were visibly fruatrated as i said above it was painful - we finished our drinks and left for the evening After eating out we returned to the hotel the bar was quiet (around 10:30pm) so service was quicker to be fair We addressed our concerns with concierge upon checkout and she was apologetic and listenned to our concerns For such a lovely premium hotel i feel there are much better options around

Nice hotel but look beneath the surface and had a few issues. Room AC didn’t work properly and was sweating at 25 deg so had to move rooms. Funny drain smell in the bathroom in the mornings and service at the lobby bar area felt under staffed, took a very long time to order drinks and staff seemed a bit too busy to cope. Breakfast was very good and standard of the rooms was potentially excellent. I think they know they have issues with tiles and boxings being cut open in the bathrooms. Overall 6/10 would probably book elsewhere next time.

Fantastic stay and was made to feel very welcome! The hotel looked stunning with all of the Christmas decorations and the staff were super lovely, kind and helpful. The ambiance at the hotel is very relaxing and would thoroughly recommend this as a hotel to stay in if you are visiting Liverpool. My only slight critique would be that the grout on the lower tiles in the shower were a bit dirty and discoloured which for a hotel of this standard I would have expected the shower to be completely clean but it wouldn’t prevent me staying at the hotel again as everything else was great.

Beautiful rooms that are immaculate with high ceilings, quality fittings and are so quiet. The bathrooms are to a high standard and the tassimo coffee machine is a nice touch. The whole hotel is well presented and all staff we encountered were helpful and friendly.

Our bedroom was a disappointment, a table lamp with no available plug socket down a very dark part of the room, very stingy with room tea tray. Room like a long narrow cooridor, not big enough to be classed as a double, I would rate this hotel 4 star. The psalm bar is stunning and the food is lovely. xxx

Beautiful historic building. Our room 237 had slow running drains, a view of a wall, and very loud heat/ac. One small still water and one small sparkling water per day. The room was a reasonable size. I would not go back, personally. Concierge Greg was very helpful. Liverpool has many other options.

Lovely hotel, good location, friendly staff. All in all very good. Our room was a superior room and whilst very nice it was a little on the small side with the tv on the wall that was 90 degrees to the bed rather than opposite it. However we would definitely go again.

It was a good hotel, very nice lobby and atrium bar. Rooms were functional but without much space to do things like iron. No closely blind in my room so as it was summer was awoken very early in the morning.

The staff were amazing!!! So lovely. Charlotte checked us in and because it was our 1st time in Liverpool got us a room that had a view of Liverpool which made us feel really speacial. The chap that greeted us at the door was lovely, the waiters in the bar were lovely! We are already planning our next stay!!!!

Great check-in, room and hotel overall. Only real negative was the bar staff who served the first person they noticed instead of the people that had been waiting for ages. Also very happy to tip bar staff for great service, but to have 12.5% automatically added to every bill for already expensive drinks!?

We have been to the bar in the hotel many times and although a lovely place the service is so slow - at times its painful. But, for my wifes birthday we decided as it was a lovely hotel to stay over for the night. Check in was great and the guy to showed us to room (i think has name was jude) was brilliant - a credit to the hotel The room was not great, very small and compact, on arrival into the room it was dirty with plastic wrappers on the floor and used room keys on the t station what made it worse was the show cushions had a crusty white stain on them.... they should have been binned and not placed on a bed for somebody else. Overall the room was okay but the cleanliness was poor The bathroom was lovely and the shower was hot but the drains absolutely stunk!! For the whole duration the bathroom stunk, our time in the room was minimal so we just chose to get on with it We got ready for a night out and went down for a drink where once again the service awful and around a 10 minute wait sat at the bar before managing to ask for a drink, other customers were visibly fruatrated as i said above it was painful - we finished our drinks and left for the evening After eating out we returned to the hotel the bar was quiet (around 10:30pm) so service was quicker to be fair We addressed our concerns with concierge upon checkout and she was apologetic and listenned to our concerns For such a lovely premium hotel i feel there are much better options around

Very nice hotel.Will stay again.Its a city hotel so yes the drinks are expensive. Paid £25 for breakfast but it was topnotch. Spa is expensive at £50 for 2 hours. However I went off-peak at 08.00 for £30 which is a bit better. Had 2 requests while there. One for Decaf T-bags and another as we needed toilet rolls. Both requests were met with delivery to room within 10 mins. Excellent service. The whole experience was first class. Thank you

Wonderful hotel, multitude of little extra touches that you just don’t get in other hotels nowadays. Simple check, gift of chocolate and a couple of drinks as it was our anniversary and all staff quick to help. Plenty of staff means no unnecessary waiting for drinks/food.

The service at the check in could only be described as boring, coach your team to engage properly rather than asking silly questions, also to read the room. Hotel was not full, but I reckon they put me in the broom cupboard, was shocking for the price i paid. In the toilet, had to squeeze past a wall and sink to get into the toilet.

Was disappointed in this hotel. We booked a one night stay then were told we had to pay extra to use the swimming pool £50 per person. The interior was beautiful but the service did not match. Breakfast was a shambles. We were given a menu but had to then ask someone to take our order. The hot food was eventually served but the order was wrong. Had to wait again then served wrong again. Only ordered the regular breakfast with fried egg and no tomato. But was served with scrambled egg and tomato. On the second attempt it still had tomato on the plate. My order (eggs Benedict) never arrived so I had a croissant with my coffee while my husband ate his reheated breakfast. Twenty minutes later when we had given up on my breakfast, the order arrived but I declined as it looked dry as though reheated. No real apology given Very disappointing. Had much better service and quality of food in Premier Inn the previous night.

The building and interior is lovely, but this didn't make up for the poor communication between teams was poor and we had a bad experience overall. We were charged for something extra after checking out, even though it was confirmed that we wouldn't (twice!). When we called the hotel we were told it was a technical issue and that we would either get a refund or a call back. We didn't receive a call so we had to keep chasing for this charge that was supposedly communicated!! It took weeks to get a clear response.

Fabulous hotel. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable. It was very quiet so we all slept well. It is,in easy walking distance for Albert Dock and numerous restaurants and cafes. The Palm Court bar area is stunningand the cocktails are superb. The hotel obviously focuses on Customer Service as every member of staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Restaurant was amazing. Parking was very confusing. We thought we followed directions only to find out that we were in the wrong lot and the hotel wouldn’t reimburse the cost. Wouldn’t stay there again for that reason.

Hotel was rich with history and beautiful architecture. Very charming hotel.Staff was friendly and helpful. Good location and easy to get to places in and around Liverpool city center, docks etc. I'd save my money and explore breakfast outside of the hotel. Breakfast wasn't bad but it wasn't up to par with the 5 star hotel. I'd stay here again!

What an amazing place for business trips in the week. Reasonable rates Mon to Thurs and accessible with plenty of parking nearby which wont take long to find. Time out to 10kms 30 to 40 mins in any direction. Food and Drink are expensive and there are supplements to the already pricy Breakfast cost, But if your not staying for pleasure, then there are (as you would expect more places within the budget you need. 5 mins and you are eating. Bar/Drawing room though. The staff are all 5 Star trained and it shows. Guests are of a high calibre so you feel respected and you yourself respect. So prob finest hotel I've stayed in in a long time, and I do see a great many. Eco didn't hit me as something massively promoted, though I do not know what measures they have placed not customer facing, so please take this as a "could do a bit more, not over the top though)

Beautiful hotel! The bar is wonderful too (their dirty martini is 10/10!) Only slight niggle was the aircon didn’t work very well in our room and it got quite warm. But otherwise no complaints

Overall it was a lovely place to stay, the room was very nice, comfortable. The only issue i had was an issue with room service, phoned up at 8:30 for a Burger, didn't hear anything up to 10:15 i phoned through to get an idea of whats happening, was told they would get straight back to me when they've found out, still nothing for another 45 minutes so i phoned again, the person i spoke to had left and not passed a message on and had no idea about my call or about my food so i couldnt get what i ordered as the main menu was finished and only had a night menu so i had to order something different and didnt get to eat until 11:30 which was far later that i wanted to be eating.

The most stunning hotel, it has been restored beautifully. In a great location, with the city centre and nightlife a few mins walk away. We did dine in the restaurant one night and found the service to be a little slow, but the food was delicious so can't complain. Overall a fab stay, will definitely be back!

It was a lovely hotel , but although the rooms were sound proofed , the corridor was noisy and were continually woken up from 7:30am on a Sunday from hotel staff, ontop of this at 8am the fire alarm also went off by accident so not great if you’re looking for a relaxing lie in. We also opted to add on continental breakfast for £15 each which was nice enough but limited on choices , for a 5 star we expected a lot more . Also they had stated about fresh smoothies and there was none there , only fruit juices

Apart from the hotel’s excellent location, the room was not clean, and the housekeeping staff do not seem to pay sufficient attention to cleanliness. On several occasions, I returned to my room after it had supposedly been cleaned, only to find that the floor had not been properly cleaned or vacuumed. On one occasion, the pillowcase was also dirty. Overall, this experience does not meet the standards I would expect from a five-star hotel.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. You are in the middle of Liverpool and everywhere is walkable. The hotel itself the bar area is a great place to grab a few drinks. The rooms are small for what you pay for. Our breakfast wasn’t very good. We sent it back twice and it didn’t get any better. We made the staff and the manager aware of this but we still charged full price and the standard 12.5% service charge they put on everything. That brings me to my biggest problem. Everything you buy in the hotel has a 12.5% standard service charge attached and to be honest the staff weren’t The Best in the bar area and almost knew that This was gonna be paid after every round of drinks. I was given a £60 bottle of wine with no glasses and they didn’t even bother taking the top off yet still expected 12.5% service charge. We returned from a wedding around midnight and ordered two ham and cheese sandwiches. This would be £10 room service charge and the 12.5% service charge was nearly £45. All in all the location of the hotel is fantastic but the service and the added service charge they had done everything puts a bit of a negative on everything.

This is a lovely historic hotel, centrally located. From the very beginning the staff was right there to make us feel welcome and cared for. It was easy to find your way in the hotel and the room was spacious, clean, beautiful and comfortable. There were thoughtful extras too. The bar and breakfast very good and a comfortable and elegant atmosphere. I would love to stay again!
