Sympathique Hostal au pied du balcon de Nerja. Proche de tout. Jolie décoration et relativement bien équipé. Seul manquait un mini réfrigérateur. L’hostal était en travaux alors nous n’avons vu personne et le petit déjeuner était dans un autre hostal.

Clean room with a great shower ensuite. Entry by swipe is good. All staff friendly and helpful. Some facilities limited owing to time of year. Wonderful location on the Balcon de Europa with one beach very close by for swimming. Excellent location also for eateries.... again friendly service, used to visitors. I requested an extra pillow and kettle... Voila! No sooner requested than appeared. I really do recommend this value for money hotel.

Very clean, nice staff, location super. Only part I didn’t like was paying 44€ for less than 40 hours at the parking garage. I am not sure if other parking options but this was really pricey

I like Hostal Marissal and have been booking this place for the past 2 years, as staff are kind and helpful, checking in is easy, place is clean, always accessible with the elevator. In the middle of balcon de europa, so everything is convenient.

El sitio es precioso.En el corazon del pueblo.en la misma plaza valcon de Europa. El hotel muy limpio,silencioso. Muy buen personal.Hemos llegado muy tarde y encontramos toda informacion sobre como coger las llaves,etc. Nos quedamos muy contentos y vamos a recomendar a nuestros amigos.Gracias.

It does not get more central in Nerja than this hotel - the location is great; on the Balcon d'europa and by a central public beach. The sound insulation was still good considering the central location in the middle of the town's hub.The rooms were comfortable. I personally found the bathrooms neglected and dirty - there was plenty of mildew which was disappointing. I also did not like the entrance of the hotel as it felt more like entering a messy bar / restaurant rather than a hotel lobby.

Very basic rooms.the smell in the bathroom was horrible,like sewage,the walls were very thin,the noise from other guests was very loud.& building work across the square was very loud,no alarm clock needed here.the staff in the restaurant area were so rude,it was clear they did not like their jobs.i would not stay here again.

Great location for sight seeing, can be a little noisy in the mornings. Rooms basic but nice and clean. Time of year no receptionist so checking in a little frustrating. Buffet breakfast adequate if you get up before it runs out. Most staff very nice and helpful

Great location, nice enough room, but no front desk open for check in means it wasn't possible to get into the building without a cellphone with a SIM card for Spain. Also, a foul sewage stench from plumbing in the bathroom, and no front desk to request help from that problem.

Absolutely fantastic location! The room was basic but very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable, with nice bed linen. The bathroom, however was grubby, there were also light bulbs that didn’t work. Credit to them though, they did fix the light and improve the bathroom cleanliness when we addressed the issue with them. Breakfast was basic, but fresh and plentiful. We would definitely stay there again. People need to be mindful that this property is classed as a hostel…not a luxury hotel. As such embrace the superb location and good value for money accommodation.

The hotel is well located and reasonably priced. It offers rooms with balcony or patio but our balcony and others look out over other internally facing balconies. We had a safe but no fridge or drinks facilities. The promised discount for guests having dinner was not applied, the meal was average quality but expensive and breakfast was uninspiring and self service. This was a disappointing holiday venue rescued only by it’s location.

Hostellet har en fin beliggenhet til strand og shopping. Noe støy fra gaten/ torvet hvor det er mye mennesker til langt på kveld/natt. Dobbelt rommet vi fik var lite og noe slitt og bar preg av at dette er et hostell. Frokosten var den samme, med lite utvalg hele den uken vi var de. Men beliggenhet og pris i forhold til nærliggende hotell, så var det greit nok.

The location was excellent , right in the heart of balcon d'europe , busy and lively, the room was average but adequate , dissappointed that the room did not have at least a small fridge, some staff were pleasant and friendly , a couple were rude and ignorant, the coffee machine at breakfast was broken for a couple of days leaving staff to make the coffees behind the bar , the young lady when asked tutted and shook her head , she clearly did not want to make the coffees, when i asked for a second cup of coffee she angrily said " NO" i was astounded !!

I was booked to pay at the hotel. You took money before I arrived and I suffered a fee from my UK bank. No one was there to check us in. It was chaos. We were not told that the hotel was not open on 1st & 2nd January. Therefore we could not pay the balance, and you tried to use the same charge again!! We got help from Tobos Apart reception opposite but the service from your administration was the worst I have ever found. I would never stay with you again and will tell all my friends that on social media. Your failures cost me extra money. We were in a party of 24 who come to Nerja regularly and they were shocked by your poor service.

This hotel offers excellent value for money. Situated right in the heart of Nerja on the Balcón. It’s right on the main square so it is not a quiet location but it didn’t bother us. If you like an early night, you’d probably want to take ear plugs. Lots of choice of cafe, restaurants and bars nearby. We loved it

I like Hostal Marissal and have been booking this place for the past 2 years, as staff are kind and helpful, checking in is easy, place is clean, always accessible with the elevator. In the middle of balcon de europa, so everything is convenient.

Great location and nice staff. The bed was broken but they fixed it quickly. Electronic check-in is a bit weird but everything worked out.

It does not get more central in Nerja than this hotel - the location is great; on the Balcon d'europa and by a central public beach. The sound insulation was still good considering the central location in the middle of the town's hub.The rooms were comfortable. I personally found the bathrooms neglected and dirty - there was plenty of mildew which was disappointing. I also did not like the entrance of the hotel as it felt more like entering a messy bar / restaurant rather than a hotel lobby.

This Hotel is between the Church and the Balcon. While the hotel is basic it is such ideally situated that you are right on top of all the amenities such as bars,restaurants and shops. The balcony opened up on the square so we were able to watch the religious processions and weddings. The Hotel is very clean and the shower was good. Breakfast was basic and adequate if a little limited in choice. All in all a nice lttle Hotel.

The hotel is well located and reasonably priced. It offers rooms with balcony or patio but our balcony and others look out over other internally facing balconies. We had a safe but no fridge or drinks facilities. The promised discount for guests having dinner was not applied, the meal was average quality but expensive and breakfast was uninspiring and self service. This was a disappointing holiday venue rescued only by it’s location.

The location was excellent , right in the heart of balcon d'europe , busy and lively, the room was average but adequate , dissappointed that the room did not have at least a small fridge, some staff were pleasant and friendly , a couple were rude and ignorant, the coffee machine at breakfast was broken for a couple of days leaving staff to make the coffees behind the bar , the young lady when asked tutted and shook her head , she clearly did not want to make the coffees, when i asked for a second cup of coffee she angrily said " NO" i was astounded !!

The hotel is of course in a great location, but in my experience the rooms are a bit outdated and not 100 percent clean. A nice smelling toilet block would improve things a lot. The breakfast buffet is only adequate and I did not find the service staff very friendly or attentive. I would only recommend the hotel if you want to save a few euros.

Hostellet har en fin beliggenhet til strand og shopping. Noe støy fra gaten/ torvet hvor det er mye mennesker til langt på kveld/natt. Dobbelt rommet vi fik var lite og noe slitt og bar preg av at dette er et hostell. Frokosten var den samme, med lite utvalg hele den uken vi var de. Men beliggenhet og pris i forhold til nærliggende hotell, så var det greit nok.

Very basic rooms.the smell in the bathroom was horrible,like sewage,the walls were very thin,the noise from other guests was very loud.& building work across the square was very loud,no alarm clock needed here.the staff in the restaurant area were so rude,it was clear they did not like their jobs.i would not stay here again.

Great location for sight seeing, can be a little noisy in the mornings. Rooms basic but nice and clean. Time of year no receptionist so checking in a little frustrating. Buffet breakfast adequate if you get up before it runs out. Most staff very nice and helpful

Excellent location , waking distance from lovely beaches and ample restaurants and bars. Staff were extremely helpful with arranging transfers and offering directions. Breakfast was average and it was a case of if your'e not down early everything is gone, however the waiters do try and accommodate your needs were possible. Rooms were clean and changed daily if requested.

Absolutely fantastic location! The room was basic but very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable, with nice bed linen. The bathroom, however was grubby, there were also light bulbs that didn’t work. Credit to them though, they did fix the light and improve the bathroom cleanliness when we addressed the issue with them. Breakfast was basic, but fresh and plentiful. We would definitely stay there again. People need to be mindful that this property is classed as a hostel…not a luxury hotel. As such embrace the superb location and good value for money accommodation.
