Our stay was beyond great! It was amazingly beautiful, fun, and peaceful!!! The staff is the nicest, most accommodating, and friendly!! The food is fresh and SO DELICIOUS!! Highly recommend this hotel!!! Our favorite? Pool, lake, howling monkeys, spider monkeys, the food, our bungalow… literally everything!!!

La Lancha is an amazing place to stay if you like nature. We enjoyed every minute during our stay. The staff is very accommodating and provides excellent customer service. We enjoyed the sauna (temascal), swam in the lake and the hotel crew helped us coordinate a boat sunset trip to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The sauna and boat is at an additional cost but is definitely worthy, They offer free continental breakfast and the food is good! We rented a car in Peten which gave us the freedom of enjoying the whole area. But if you just want to enjoy the hotel is a good option too, its very relaxing, there’s a swimming pool and a mirador with a beautiful the lake view.there’s a lot of stars and it’s tiresome sometimes to go up and down but it was part of the experience that made it unique.. we did not have to worry about working out lol!

This resort is incredible and the service is fantastic! We took the boat from the airport to the resort and we were greeted with welcome drinks and a candle lite dock. Then we rode the funicular up to the resort. The meals were delicious! The setting was magical!

Beautiful hotel on the shore of a beautiful lake. Facilities are excellent, comfortable, even too perfect. Staff is super friendly and will help all your needs. My daughters (8 and 10) ranked it in their top 3 hotels they have visited because they had so much fun, especially in the lake and pool. Very recommended.

We stayed at La Lancha after touring Guatemala - we wanted to be near Tikal. Our stay was simply fabulous! Nestled in the midst of the jungle but on a lakefront La Lancha offered us a wonderful and relaxed stay full of beautiful scenery, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, canoe rides and stand up paddle boarding activity. We truly enjoyed our time here. The place is simply stunning with lithe huts (casitas) scattered in the midst of the jungle and a team of staff dedicated to ensuring our stay was pleasurable. Every detail was taken care of.

The property is beautiful. We saw a lake otter, a crocodile and howler monkeys as well as many birds while visiting there and on the lake. The Lake View I room was much more than we expected. Two bathrooms!! One down side, maybe, are the steps. Eighty four from our room to the dining room and forty five to the pool. On the other hand we worked off our meals.

Wonderful place nestled in the jungle by lake Peten itzá. The property consists of a cluster of casitas (huts) where guests can enjoy nature and relax. The staff are dedicated to making the stay truly enjoyable and look after all details - like a welcome drink and moist towel at check in, yo calling guests by name to make them feel at home. The property is stunning, there are cañíes, paddle boards, a stunning dock, a jumping rope - all the amenities to make for a wonderful stay by the lake.

The property is unbelievable! This is in an excellent location, very convenient for exploring Tikal. The lake side set up is beautiful with a dock and lounge area. They also provide boating transportation, kayaks, life jackets, basically anything you can need for the lake. There’s even a handicapped accessible elevator that can take you down to the lake if you have issues with steep steps. The pool side was awesome equipped with umbrellas and loungers. The restaurant served excellent food. The bar and drinks were amazing. The service was absolutely incredible, top notch. The room itself was nice with a working AC unit, ceiling fan, and mini fridge stocked. The bathroom was nice with a size-able shower with hot water. Overall, I was very impressed with this hotel. 100/10 rating.

La primer noche de estadía fue muy agradable, sin embargo, para la segunda noche experimentamos una mala atención y fallos en los servicios que nos prometieron. - La propiedad anuncia que tiene Wi-Fi, nunca funcionó de manera estable y nos impedía estar en contacto con nuestros hijos. - El agua caliente falló en el segundo día. - La limpieza de la habitación en el segundo no fue buena, la habitación olía mal. - Ofrecen un menú más amplio para los huéspedes que llevan tres días, pero no lo comunican y es muy desagradable ver a un comensal sentado a nuestro lado con más opciones de comida que nosotros, ya que aparenta un privilegio para ellos y una discriminación para nosotros. Si nos lo hubieran dicho lo habríamos entendido. Mi esposa ama las pastas y no tuvo la opción en su menú mientras veía como en la mesa de al lado degustaban un plato de pasta. Era su cumpleaños.

En la habitacion que me quede habian muchos muchos bichos, adicional la tuberia del baño tenia problemas ya que toda la noche pasaba haciendo ruido y tambien la refri del minibar no se si le faltaba mantenimiento o solo son muy ruidosas pero las 3 noches que me quede sin falta a media noche hacia mucho ruido el motor. Por todo lo demas esta bien.

The place its magical, staff is very attentive. Our ac was not working when we got there they fixed the issue with inn minutes, after that everything was just perfect , i stayed in june 3 and going back again in august… had the best time !

En la habitacion que me quede habian muchos muchos bichos, adicional la tuberia del baño tenia problemas ya que toda la noche pasaba haciendo ruido y tambien la refri del minibar no se si le faltaba mantenimiento o solo son muy ruidosas pero las 3 noches que me quede sin falta a media noche hacia mucho ruido el motor. Por todo lo demas esta bien.

La Lancha is a beautiful place to rest and regroup. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a honeymoon. We were a little frustrated by the distance from normal amenities (alternative laundry services ie restaurants), but La Lancha is a perfect place to relax for a few days if you can afford US ñ-type prices on food. The food was exquisite. Some of the best we had in Guatemala in a month. The service was beyond perfect. We loved all of the staff. The room was lovely and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The lake and rope swing were fun. Monkeys greeted us the first morning. I would go bank for a special occasion.

What a treat to have stayed in this hotel in the middle of the jungle and with a beautiful lake Peten Itza view. Tranquility at its best! Great location to head out to Tokal.

I loved that the "room" was not connected to others and the location was not on the path to the restaurant, etc. The room was beautifully decorated and looked out to the vista. The staff and restaurant personnel were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We went on several excursions - to Tikal one day and the boat launch to Flores the next day - and the details were smooth and effortless.

Beautiful property on the lake and our room felt like a private escape. Excellent service with the staff going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and inquiring about our daily activities. They even packed breakfast for us when we left early for the Tikal sunrise tour and for the airport. My only minus was that I thought the food was slightly overpriced and some of the dishes lacked flavor. But overall it was great experience!

What an amazing place. From the location to the staff to the natural environment and facilities, La Lancha is top notch. We had a large group (four families each with children) and La Lancha staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating for our group. We look forward to staying there again soon!

This resort is incredible and the service is fantastic! We took the boat from the airport to the resort and we were greeted with welcome drinks and a candle lite dock. Then we rode the funicular up to the resort. The meals were delicious! The setting was magical!

Hotel staff outstanding. General Manager made it a point to say hi every day and ask about our stay. Only negative is the boat ride from Flores to the resort. It can be very choppy and almost painful. But that isn’t the fault of the resort, just a fact of crossing a large body of water. Would stay there again.

We were a little frustrated by the distance from normal amenities (alternative laundry services ie restaurants), but La Lancha is a perfect place to relax for a few days if you can afford US ñ-type prices on food. I loved that the "room" was not connected to others and the location was not on the path to the restaurant, etc. The room was beautifully decorated and looked out to the vista. The staff and restaurant personnel were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We went on several excursions - to Tikal one day and the boat launch to Flores the next day - and the details were smooth and effortless.

The property is unbelievable! This is in an excellent location, very convenient for exploring Tikal. The lake side set up is beautiful with a dock and lounge area. They also provide boating transportation, kayaks, life jackets, basically anything you can need for the lake. A beautiful boutique hotel experience in a jungle setting. Very attentive staff. It is remote so no where to walk to but most people do excursions during the day. Food was very good. Just be aware that food and drink prices are US/Cdn levels, not Guatemalan. That's the main trade off for staying in such a beautiful place. There is also a resident family of spider monkeys which made the experience unique.

We stayed at La Lancha after touring Guatemala - we wanted to be near Tikal. Our stay was simply fabulous! Nestled in the midst of the jungle but on a lakefront La Lancha offered us a wonderful and relaxed stay full of beautiful scenery, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, canoe rides and stand up paddle boarding activity. We truly enjoyed our time here. The place is simply stunning with lithe huts (casitas) scattered in the midst of the jungle and a team of staff dedicated to ensuring our stay was pleasurable. The property is beautiful. We saw a lake otter, a crocodile and howler monkeys as well as many birds while visiting there and on the lake. The Lake View I room was much more than we expected. Two bathrooms!! One down side, maybe, are the steps. Eighty four from our room to the dining room and forty five to the pool. On the other hand we worked off our meals.

Our stay was beyond great! It was amazingly beautiful, fun, and peaceful!!! The staff is the nicest, most accommodating, and friendly!! The food is fresh and SO DELICIOUS!! Highly recommend this hotel!!! Our favorite? Pool, lake, howling monkeys, spider monkeys, the food, our bungalow… literally everything!!!

I stayed here with my son and his girlfriend and the setting is magical, serene and beautiful. We swam in the lake while watching a family of monkeys watching us from the trees and swallows dipped and flew over the lake. The service is very warm and friendly. We drank delicious cocktails, ate good food and recharges our batteries.

La nuestra era enorme, con vistas al lago desde su magnífica terraza. El desayuno, como es habitual en el país, hay que pagarlo aparte si deseas algo más que café, fruta y tostada. La comida del restaurante está bastante buena. Organizan excursiones y traslados eficazmente, aunque no sean servicios baratos. Habría que reprochar cierta ineficiencia administrativa (problemas pre-estancia con los medios de pago), pero una vez allí se esfuerzan por que todo sea perfecto.

Hotel is beautiful, staff is friendly. But the food was not very good, and extremely overpriced for Guatemala. The breakfast menu was pretty large, for example, but the only "inlcuded" breakfasts were either yogurt, fruit, and granola, or 1 egg and toast. My husband asked for another egg and was told he would be charged. For dinner, the menu prices were insane, the portions were small, and the food wasn't great. I ordered a few of the vegetarian meals and one night I got a baked potato that was supposed to have grilled veggies on it for no joke-$30. Hotel is beautiful, staff is friendly. But the food was not very good, and extremely overpriced for Guatemala. The breakfast menu was pretty large, for example, but the only "inlcuded" breakfasts were either yogurt, fruit, and granola, or 1 egg and toast. My husband asked for another egg and was told he would be charged. For dinner, the menu prices were insane, the portions were small, and the food wasn't great. I ordered a few of the vegetarian meals and one night I got a baked potato that was supposed to have grilled veggies on it for no joke-$30. Beautiful property on the lake and our room felt like a private escape. Excellent service with the staff going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and inquiring about our daily activities. They even packed breakfast for us when we left early for the Tikal sunrise tour and for the airport. My only minus was that I thought the food was slightly overpriced and some of the dishes lacked flavor. But overall it was great experience!

Hôtel parfait, vous êtes chouchouté, le staff est aux petits soins, ils sont tous adorables, le cadre est magnifique: vous dormez en pleine jungle au bord du lac. La nourriture est excellente, le service complet, les chambres sont confortables: Luxe calme et volupté au rendez-vous. Vous pourrez nager au coucher de soleil sous les oiseaux qui volent au dessus de votre tête, tout en entendant les singes-hurleurs. Si vous n’êtes pas trop bruyant vous les apercevrez en allant vous baigner. Petit plus l’hôtel propose d’arriver en bateau depuis Flores, ce qui vaut le coup. Impossible de ne pas s’arrêter à La Lancha…merci Monsieur Coppola.

This place is spectacular in every way. Rooms are amazing. Staff are incredible. Food is delicious. This was our final stop of a two week journey to Guatemala. It was a wonderful ending to a fantastic trip. Carlos, Michelle, and Milton, among many others made this an experience to remember. If you’re looking for a small, quiet place to rest, relax, and enjoy the area, select a room now. You’ll not be disappointed.
