This is a very honest review. Just got home yesterday after a 6 night stay (a girls getaway) with two of my friends. Restaurants- 10/10 Tons of options at each restaurant that you are sure to find something you like…even the pickiest eaters too lol. Room Service- 8/10 Room Service was wonderful. Only issues were they screwed up our orders in some capacity a few times. 2nd morning we placed three separate breakfast orders and they just brought us three of one of the orders and then a couple other times they brought items we did not order so it was wasteful. Entertainment- 9/10 The entertainment was amazing. Only wish they had more of it. Pool- 9/10 If you get up at the crack of dawn (or before) to claim a chair then you will love it. If you don’t then there is no lounge chairs left as they get claimed super early. Beach Access- 10/10 The beach is stunning and there is tons of seating down there. Highly recommend heading down about 30 min before sunrise to take in the beauty. Hotel- 8/10 Hotel is nice but it needs some TLC in the rooms and hallways. We stayed on the adult side and the hallways were littered with garbage, dirty dishes and even dirty Q-tips one day. The halls need a good hose down which given that they are concrete and tile should be easy. Our room was okay but if you compare is to standards of hotels in Canada then it

Beautiful property. Travelled with family and paid for star class. 6 people in total. Kids loved the lazy river and stayed busy the entire stay. Entertainment was great, spa was amazing and the tours were easy to book on site. Food was delicious and fast (no waiting in line with star class) easy to use app to book reservations/check daily activities. Check in was a breeze and room service was a hit for the kids 24/7.

The check in process was a bit slow. But the stay made up for it. The food was great the spa and gym was amazing. The beach was awesome as well. The adult pool was a bit dirty at times. The lazy river was the best to just lounge around in. Overall the stay was amazing and my wife and I had a great time.

Don't listen to those who say the resort is too big. It's the perfect size with everything of importance located at the main lobby. All restaurants, activities, night club, etc. are at the main lobby. We stayed in building 30 and it was fantastic! Partial beach view with a wonderful panoramic view of the entire property! The buffet was decent, not great. The beach restaurant breakfast buffet was wonderful, and their lunch options fantastic! Room service DISGUSTING! Undercooked terrible pizza with soggy chips, chicken burger made from cheap chicken fingers, etc. I asked a few times for the pizza to be very well done, and it would always come the same. Undercooked and doughy. Brazilian great, steak great, Italian good with great wood fire pizza, Fuel awesome and Guys burgers was good. Beer was cold, beach was beautiful and the weather was sunny and hot so I ain't complaining. Just critiquing! Shout out to Alma in guest services, the bartenders at the club and the older gentleman bartender at the beach bar. Yeah, his attitude was hit or miss but I had no issues and he makes THE BEST OJO ROJO IN MEXICO! Try it, you will not be disappointed! Wish I could remember his name! Maybe Miguel? Oh as for the chair situation, it is no different than any other resort. If you want chairs by the pool, GET YOUR ASS UP EARLY! 6AM works so 1 Star review because your lazy?? Spa was amazing but overpriced breakfast was amazing and majority of the waiters and waitress were very good. Blow average room service and very tough communication with front desk. The worst part was the people organizing the excursions. It was way overpriced and if you wanted to move things around, it wasn’t as easy.

Overall it is a nice resort. We spent an additional $600 to upgrade the food and wine on just 2 nights of dinning for 4 adults, personally if they cut that in half they will sell more. They kept running out of beer and ice on the beach bar. We go to Cancun to hang on the beach, we had to move to the crowded pool just to get cold drinks. Every staff member are nice and willing to help. Edgar Murcia is a wonderful person, look him up for an added touch of VIP.

The staff were very friendly and hard working. Two aspects that overshadowed the experience was the fact that guests went to the pools first thing in the morning to ‘claim’ seats. The policy of not reserving the chairs is not followed up on so it was impossible to get seats without requesting that staff remove towels from unused seats. Second, the property lacks adequate seating for group interaction. Before and after dinner, unless you go to see a show, there are very few places to sit and enjoy being outside. Other than those issues, we enjoyed ourselves.

Very clean, stylish, but we had to call every day for soap, body wash and shampoo. The jacuzzi outside was cold. No simple food options around the pool or at the beach, had to go to restaurant - buffet all time. This resort is great for bigger groups, younger people and night life. I loved how many food options there were and the amount of entertainment. The taco truck at the adults only pool was our favourite place to eat the entire time we stayed. Always hot, fresh and tasted amazing. The rooms could use much up keep. Showers didn’t feel very clean, everything fabric always felt a bit damp didn’t matter if you had a dehumidifier brought to the room or not. So didn’t always make for the best sleep. Beds were very comfortable though. We travelled with a group of 9. It was extremely hard to get reservations with a bigger group so make sure you book all meals ( breakfast, lunch and dinner) well In advance. 3-4 days at least. If not they will get your group in at 9-9:30 and then you miss the nightly entertainment / shows! This was very frustrating for our group. Over all staff was extremely helpful, kind and always around to ask questions or lend a hand. We rented the pool side cabanas 2 days in a row. It was well Worth the money with the bigger group to have loungers our own pool and 24/7 service the entire day. The regular pool is ridiculous. There are signs saying no reserving loungers but it doesn’t stop anyone. People will get up at 6am just to go through a towel and flip flops down on the chairs and claim it as their own. I feel like the staff should do a better job enforcing these rules. The app they make you download is the most frustrating and useless thing about the place

Overall, excellent vacation. It was me, my wife, our 18yr old and 21yr old. They said it was a great vacation, always something to do from games, to cinema movies, nightclub, lazy river, etc.. The resort is large and beautiful. The pools were great but get there early in the morning to reserve chairs. The daily entertainment by the adult pool can be improved to be more "adult centric" and the music can be improved by allowing requests so its not the same type of music that some people may not enjoy... keep it diverse. A few areas of improvement; how can the pool bar run out of Captain Morgan when its at other bars in the resort? You need to ensure its stocked for your customers. The other is the drinks, some bars do a good margarita and expresso martini (adult checkin bar) and others are terrible at making drinks (martini bar). The restaurants were great. The sunset strip steakhouse, gusto italian and asian were our favorites. The bartenders and adult scene pool workers were all excellent at helping us enjoy our stay. The star of our week was our Expedia rep, Mauricio. He helped us book restaurants during the week, get some issues fixed and was our go-to person. He deserves a raise!! You dont need star class when you have Mauricio! We were treated like VIPS!!!

Only issues were they screwed up our orders in some capacity a few times. 2nd morning we placed three separate breakfast orders and they just brought us three of one of the orders and then a couple other times they brought items we did not order so it was wasteful. Entertainment- 9/10 The entertainment was amazing. Only wish they had more of it. Pool- 9/10 If you get up at the crack of dawn (or before) to claim a chair then you will love it. If you don’t then there is no lounge chairs left as they get claimed super early. Beach Access- 10/10 The beach is stunning and there is tons of seating down there. Highly recommend heading down about 30 min before sunrise to take in the beauty. Hotel- 8/10 Hotel is nice but it needs some TLC in the rooms and hallways. We stayed on the adult side and the hallways were littered with garbage, dirty dishes and even dirty Q-tips one day. The halls need a good hose down which given that they are concrete and tile should be easy. Our room was okay but if you compare is to standards of hotels in Canada then it

The steak house was our least favorite and the Brazilian restaurant was by far our favorite. The steak house wasn’t terrible but we just weren’t super impressed with it. My only complaint would be that it was very noisy late at night but I think that had a lot to do with where our room was. We weren’t far from the main area with the restaurants and entertainment area and we were also right next to an elevator on the main floor. When we went to bed early a couple of nights it would be very loud outside until late. Thankfully my husband and I are both sound sleepers so it didn’t affect us too much. Just more of an inconvenience than anything.

The room was immaculate. Housekeeping did a great job daily! Food was wonderful. Drinks were amazing, and the beach was super pretty and clean. Resort staff was friendly and helpful. 10/10 across the board!

The pools and lazy river were both very dirty. There were never enough lounge chairs around the pools. Drinks were limited and the selection of liquors available was poor. Wine tasted terrible. Rooms were nice, but the water in the room smelled and had a gray tinge when turned on. Coffee was terrible. The restaurants were adequate, but not great. Service was always very good. Beach was terrible, covered with seaweed, unusable. Worst of all 2 of our group came home with the Cyclospora parasite! We will not be going back.

I went there in 2022 it was an amazing experience but this time I brought a group of 23 and all the door closet and drawer weren't closing properly and for the water in 2022 anywhere you go they had cold bottles of water this trip I was dehydrated cause they only gave water in the rooms outside the rooms good luck finding bottled water and for the food part it was good but not sure why 15 out of 23 of us got sick with a bacterial infection witch come either from the food or water according to research. It was my second time there and my last I really need to have my bottle of water at all times I don't like to drink in a plastic cup that I don't know where the water came from.

This was our first visit to Cancun and loved it! The only complaint was the beach area. We went out to the beach after breakfast one morning to spend the day, and there were dirty dishes you could tell were from the night prior on almost all the Planet Hollywood chairs, along with sand all over them. None of them had been cleaned. We went right back up to the pool area to spend the day. No other guests were down there. This was about 8 a.m.

This resort is just OK. Entertainment is mediocre, food was horrible. Room was damp, it felt like my bed was wet. There was a very strong smell of mold. Room service was unavailable almost my entire stay. The time that I did actually get room service it took 2hrs to receive my food. Signs posted saying pools were open until 7pm but they closed them at 5 every day with no explanation. Staff is constantly trying to upsell you or convince you to take a timeshare tour. Nothing to do at night. Please don’t be hungry at night, if so you’ll starve until morning. I don’t think this place is worth the money and will not return. If you’re a traveler and have anything else to compare this to I think you’ll be highly disappointed. Oh and I almost forgot, the water in the bathroom comes out of the faucet and shower BROWN! You have to let it run for a few to clear up!

Just came back from a week in October 2025. Resort and room were beautiful. Paid extra for the adults only and swim up room - definitely recommend. Nobody else was utilizing their swim up room so it felt like a private pool the entire trip. With the adults only section we also had a private breakfast restaurant which was amazing, we never had to eat at the buffet the whole trip between all the restaurants. Staff were all so friendly and attempted to remember you at the bars. Would absolutely go back again, I have been to Mexico a few times and this was the best resort and food I have ever had

Not enough restaurants to chose from and hotel so huge and small restaurants. The app wouldn’t even let me make no reservation which was frustrating. Resort is a 5 star but needs plenty of upgrades to do especially the rooms.

I was disappointed with my stay and I go to Cancun atleast once a year. We always get a swim out room and this stay was no different. But the 2 rooms we got were beach facing and got NO sun. The water was freezing and we were unable to use the swim up. The room needed some upgrading. The mattress was the hardest mattress I’ve ever slept on at a resort. And out shower smelt of mildew from the drain. We told our concierge but all that was done was air freshener was sprayed. Sadly, we won’t be returning to this resort.

Planet Hollywood was nice but there was some things that needed addressed. We had a swim out suite, water was extremely low, jets didn’t work so water was dirty. The app needs updated, we reserved a dinner and restaurant was closed, no where else to eat. Pools need to be opened later than 7:00 pm. Need to spray mosquito repellent so you can enjoy evening shows. Hooka doesn’t need to be smoked and offered in main family section. Check in sales pitch should be optional, not a rigged sales speech. Lazy River was nice, clean and pleasant. Restaurants that we could try were good Rooms were clean, staff was very nice. I would recommend this resort for a college spring break, not a family or laid back married couple vacation.

The property was clean and in a safe area. The beach was expansive and swimmable. Plenty of seating & lounge areas. The room was large with plenty of amenity options for an upgrade & $$. We noticed many areas with leaking roofs. At one point maintenance even came into our room to fix the shower which was leaking onto the floor below and our screen door that fell of the hinges. Elevators sometimes worked in our building. None of these things affected our stay in the warm sun.

This was our first time staying at Planet Hollywood Cancun Adult Scene. We booked the Directors Suite and it was amazing and big!! The room was very clean upon our arrival and the staff kept it that way during our stay. Upon arrival, we met with our Planet Hollywood Expedia Rep, Jose, and he assisted us with all of our dinner reservations. He also offered to assist us with anything we needed during our stay. Jose proved 5 star treatment and assistance. Mauricicio also assited when Jose was not on property and he provided excellent service as well. The resort overall was beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast and lunch buffets were really good and our breakfast waiter Felipe provided amazing service!! We spent most of our time at the adult only pool. The Castaway Pool Bar was great and our bartender, Maurice, made amazing drinks!! All of the staff that we interacted with were very professional and provided top notch service!! The specialty restaurants that we visited were very good overall but sometimes the food was hit or miss. We will definitely stay at this resort in the future.

Prior to arrival we got no assistance from PH guest services - they referred all our enquiries to ‘Expedia Rep’ who did not reply to us . HOWEVER - once we checked in , our Expedia Guest Services Rep - Jose Luis was amazing ! Anything we needed we would text the PH App /Guest services or Luis would take care of .The reason for 4 star is the sit down restaurants - the staff in the restaurants are not the same high caliber of customer service as the guest services or housekeeping. The sit down restaurants were ok.Teppanyaki was excellent.Make sure u ask your Rep or Guest services to book your dinners upon check in .There were frustrated guests who couldn’t book theirs on App. We got all the restaurants and u are allowed to go duplicate times . Buffet was good - nice variety - same challenges as other All-Inclusives : go early for the watermelon , it clears out quickly and they limit how much per seating they put out. Seating around pool - go early to get your chairs - like 7am . Beach had lots of chairs and umbrellas . We had swim out room in building 31 ,the closest location to pool / beach - highly recommend this room type - cabanas / loungers on a large patio . Super humid, sheets were wet . Ask for Dehumidifier, helped. Entertainment was really good - lots of thought put into the shows . Drinks were ok - stick to cocktails and beers , can’t avoid the sugar in any of their blended drinks unfortunately. But common issue w all inclusives. Overall loved the resort !

When we arrived, we found that all the restaurants were fully booked for our entire stay, which lasted four days. The staff at the main pool was limited and did not make rounds to check on guests. Also, room service was two hours and not worth the wait. Overall, I would rate the resort as 3 stars, and we will not be returning.

The resort was great and our staff "Buttler", Luis was absolutely amazing in making our stay a pleasant one. Thank you Luis. The biggest dissapointment was that at booking this trip, it was not clear that there would be no transportation to/from the resort - which added cost to our trip that was not planned, and when you are in a foreign country, it is very uncomfortable and not always safe how you book transportation. We paid over $200us to get from the airport to the resort, then Luis suggested Uber and that was much more reasonable. Expedia should improve this service when booking a trip.

Estamos muy contentos de haber estado en Planet Hollywood, ya que todas las instalaciones y el personal del Hotel son muy agradables. Deseamos regresar pronto y seguir visitando su Hotel muy en especial la Att de Mauricio asistente de Expedia es grandiosa, él estuvo con nosotros en todo momento estuvo al pendiente de nuestro viaje día y noche, aún sin estar en horario laboral. We just got back from planet Hollywood and we had the best stay!! The grounds were beautiful with a white sand beach. Our room was clean and nice and cool(almost cold) and didn't have any issues with dampness. The food was great but the main positive of this resort was the staff. They were all absolutely amazing!! Friendly, attentive and engaged!! We would definitely consider returning to this resort in the future!!

I brought money to tip everywhere i went but by the end of any interaction, I felt like i didn't want to give money for mediocre service. The front lobby bar was the only area i was greeted a with a smile and great service. I have been to 7 other All-inclusive resorts in Mexico and this was by far the worst all around. I have never felt so ready to leave and wasted so much money.

The services provided by the Expedia Ambassadors David and Luis were excellent during the period of our stay at Planet Hollywood Cancun. Our stay at Planet Hollywood Cancun was fantastic. Manuel at the front desk was friendly and kind and upgraded us to a General Star Class for our special occasion. Luis and Mauricio from the concierge team were extremely helpful, checking in daily and assisting with last-minute restaurant reservations. However, we did have an unpleasant experience at La Cocina restaurant, where we faced issues with our reservation. Despite our explanation, the front staff and the supervisor were unconvinced, unwelcoming, and dismissive, suggesting that we make a reservation in the app like everyone else. Thankfully, Mauricio came, confirmed our reservation, and helped us get in. Once inside, we were surprised to notice many empty tables, which contradicted our expectations of a full house given the strictness at the entrance. A little leniency from the front staff would have been appreciated, especially since there were numerous vacant tables and no line of customers waiting. The hotel offered various activities, delicious food, and a beautiful environment. We loved the evening shows and the beach area. My little kid enjoyed the lazy river and the water park. My adult eldest enjoyed the Grotto bar and spent time at a different bar area at night. Our favorite dining experiences were at Tepanyaki and Gusto, and we also enjoyed lunch at the Star Class Bar & Grill. The buffet had an excellent selection. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation. Thanks to Planet Hollywood and Expedia!

Second, the property lacks adequate seating for group interaction. Before and after dinner, unless you go to see a show, there are very few places to sit and enjoy being outside. Other than those issues, we enjoyed ourselves.

Check in was excellent. Staff was warm and welcoming. Because we booked through Expedia we were assigned a personal assistant. The experience with the personal assistant was not great. He assured us he could take care of reservations at the restaurants. Communication was lacking with multiple check ins on our part to confirm. The first night we couldn’t get in where we wanted which was fine and we were able to get in at the Steakhouse late. From there we requested to make all our reservations in advance for the rest of our trip. What we were unaware of and told later is that the assistants don’t have access to the Planet Hollywood app to make the reservations and instead have to go through a much more complicated process that’s really not fair to them. Our problem was mainly the lack of communication and on at least two nights the restaurants did not have our reservation but thankfully were able to get us in despite that issue. One of the team members contacted us to discuss the experience and things went from bad to worse. In addition to discussing the reservation issues and lack of communication, we reported that twenty dollars had been taken out of one of our backpacks to which the “manager” responded “I don’t believe that happened.” He also said that we should have reported it immediately which probably true but we planned on letting them know at checkout just to make them aware. We weren’t asking for the twenty dollars back. The food was hit or miss.

This is a very honest review. Just got home yesterday after a 6 night stay (a girls getaway) with two of my friends. Restaurants- 10/10 Tons of options at each restaurant that you are sure to find something you like…even the pickiest eaters too lol. Room Service- 8/10 Room Service was wonderful. Only issues were they screwed up our orders in some capacity a few times. 2nd morning we placed three separate breakfast orders and they just brought us three of one of the orders and then a couple other times they brought items we did not order so it was wasteful. Entertainment- 9/10 The entertainment was amazing. Only wish they had more of it. Pool- 9/10 If you get up at the crack of dawn (or before) to claim a chair then you will love it. If you don’t then there is no lounge chairs left as they get claimed super early. Beach Access- 10/10 The beach is stunning and there is tons of seating down there. Highly recommend heading down about 30 min before sunrise to take in the beauty. Hotel- 8/10 Hotel is nice but it needs some TLC in the rooms and hallways. We stayed on the adult side and the hallways were littered with garbage, dirty dishes and even dirty Q-tips one day. The halls need a good hose down which given that they are concrete and tile should be easy. Our room was okay but if you compare is to standards of hotels in Canada then it

My husband and I had a great time here. The resort was clean and the staff was amazing. Everyone was so accommodating to us. We were there for our anniversary so they comped a few things for us and gave us specials on things. The food was pretty good. The all day buffet was decent. We only ate there for breakfast but they had a good variety of things. We made reservations at different restaurants every night for dinner. The steak house was our least favorite and the Brazilian restaurant was by far our favorite. The steak house wasn’t terrible but we just weren’t super impressed with it. My only complaint would be that it was very noisy late at night but I think that had a lot to do with where our room was. We weren’t far from the main area with the restaurants and entertainment area and we were also right next to an elevator on the main floor. When we went to bed early a couple of nights it would be very loud outside until late. Thankfully my husband and I are both sound sleepers so it didn’t affect us too much. Just more of an inconvenience than anything.

Our butler was friendly but not efficient , we waited for two hours for our room before we had to personally go to front desk and inquire about the hold up , we didn’t receive our complementary bottle until the day before our last day , there is no night life for adults only and the buffet was very basic and bland , the breakfast was the only time buffet was good , Mexican restaurant 0/10 but the hibachi and steakhouse was great!

You have to pay for certain drinks. If they run out of a certain spirit, they do not replenish it immediately. I had to wait two days for a simple Johnny Walker Red label to be restocked in the bar next to the lobby. In most locations near the pools, mineral water is not from a machine and refrigerated, but from warm, gasless bottles. Although the service and ambiance are good, you have to wait a long time for specialty foods and reserve well in advance, rather than being first-come, first-served and joining a waiting list, as in other hotels. Buffette is 5/10 with plenty of variations of zuccini. Very often, I have to wait in line to enter. Rooms with pools are very nice, but if you get two, even when they are continuous, they do not communicate through a door and have to either leave the room or go around the pool to visit your other room.

Overall, excellent vacation. It was me, my wife, our 18yr old and 21yr old. They said it was a great vacation, always something to do from games, to cinema movies, nightclub, lazy river, etc.. The resort is large and beautiful. The pools were great but get there early in the morning to reserve chairs. The daily entertainment by the adult pool can be improved to be more "adult centric" and the music can be improved by allowing requests so its not the same type of music that some people may not enjoy... keep it diverse. A few areas of improvement; how can the pool bar run out of Captain Morgan when its at other bars in the resort? You need to ensure its stocked for your customers. The other is the drinks, some bars do a good margarita and expresso martini (adult checkin bar) and others are terrible at making drinks (martini bar). The restaurants were great. The sunset strip steakhouse, gusto italian and asian were our favorites. The bartenders and adult scene pool workers were all excellent at helping us enjoy our stay. The star of our week was our Expedia rep, Mauricio. He helped us book restaurants during the week, get some issues fixed and was our go-to person. He deserves a raise!! You dont need star class when you have Mauricio! We were treated like VIPS!!!

Had a great weekend stay at Planet Hollywood Cancun! The resort was beautiful, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and there was plenty to do without ever needing to leave the property. The pools and beach were perfect for relaxing during the day, and I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere, food, and entertainment. Great training sessions at the onsite gym. It’s a big resort, so expect to do some walking, but for a quick Cancun getaway it had a great mix of relaxation and fun. I definitely enjoyed my stay and would come back!

Went for a bachelorette party. The group had alot of fun. The entertainment team was very fun at the pool parties and late night. Foam party was sooo much fun. The food was good. Different alcohol selections in different areas so make sure to ask specifically by name of what u want added to ur drink. We had the swim up pool rooms which was really convenient for night time. Reservations for dinner were a little hard to get for our group of 8 for later times after 7pm but we made it work. Overall we had a great time
