The on site public bath is clean and relaxing, though small. Shoe lockers at entry, self service amenities, laundry, and nearby parking are useful, but some found parking dispersed or the bath changing area wet.

Rooms and common areas are consistently clean, with several guests describing them as spotless. Occasional issues included a cobweb, wet floors in the bath changing area, smoke odour on some floors, and isolated upholstery stains.

Rooms are modern and thoughtfully laid out but frequently compact; several guests struggled with luggage space. Mattresses are very firm, which some found uncomfortable, and a few noted limited soundproofing, dim lighting, or small windows.

Staff are widely praised as friendly, courteous, and helpful, with English spoken by many and assistance provided with luggage and reservations. A few guests experienced brusque reception or unhelpful responses.

Convenient base a short walk from Nakatsugawa Station, with many restaurants nearby and easy access to the Nakasendo trail. A handful found directions unclear or the walk longer than expected.

Breakfast is frequently described as excellent and mostly Japanese with some Western options; several guests appreciated complimentary evening ochazuke. A minority found the Western selection limited, items sometimes cold or repetitive, or noted advice to arrive early.
