Villa 石の蔵 Hotel

Comfiest bed I’ve slept on so far in Japan! それはこれまでで一番快適なベッドだった。Convenient parking. Quiet area.

One of the most beautiful and well supplied villas I’ve ever stayed in. Not only is there a bar fridge with complimentary drinks, the bath products are exquisite and they even provide sheet masks. The only slight problem was Google maps taking me straight to the villa instead of hotel reception which was the next left turn, so it took me a while to work out how to check in especially as it was dark when I arrived.

Amazing, regardless of price one of the best places I've stayed in Japan. 15 mins walk from Saga station in a quiet residential area and only 10 mins walk to multiple restaurants, Saga castle, balloon museum, library etc Hotel is the wrong word for this place,it is a stand alone home, perfect for a couple but extra space and futons for kids or another couple in comfort. The quality and fit out of the space is amazing, huge living area, fully equipped kitchen and laundry, incredibly it is equipped with Gaggenau,Miele and Liebherr appliances, the bathroom is huge with a full size bath and French doors that open to a private courtyard; the owner, who is an absolute gentleman was clearly thinking with his heart when he built this place, cost clearly not a concern. It is tasteful and very well executed, extremely rare to find this level of detail in Japan at anything remotely close to what we paid. I'll be returning here, to do absolutely nothing, it is that good.
