Elegant hotel with lovely breakfasts and very helpful staff. I used the laundry machines once and they were reasonably priced and available (no cut-throat competition from other guests, as I've seen at other hotels in Japan). Nearby Ueno subway station is handy but also huge, so just remember: exit no.3 is your friend if you're staying at the Nohga!

Enjoyed a fabulous stay at the Nohga Hotel in Ueno. This is a smaller boutique type hotel that sits in a very quiet area but just 5 minutes from the Ueno Station. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, including a selection of toiletry supplies which was very helpful when one of suitcases arrived late. There is a nice pop up bar in a comfortable lounge to relax with very reasonable prices. The coin operated laundry was also very convenient. Overall, they made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

It was a little bit of an exploration finding the hotel using Google map. The small gym was cleaned and air-conditioned on the 2nd floor. The laundry and dryer were a little pricy compared to other hotel chain but that could be because of the area. The front desk service were excellent! The rooms were cleaned and simple for a maximum of 2 per room. The areas of improvements are as followed: 1. Welcome coins for refreshments should not only be per occupants but also per night of stay. 2. It would have been nice that the coupons/ discounts we also applicable for breakfast and not just cafe time or dinner. 3. French cuisine dinner were more eye stimulating and tailored for adults than teens or family. 4. Allow restaurant meals to be serviced to rooms. 5. Accurate billing from the restaurant - the error was caught upon check-out.

Although the gym was extremely small to the point I didn’t use it, I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone. 10/10 First time in Japan and this location couldn’t have been better, right next to the station which is a short distance to everywhere.

Great hotel and close to Ueno Train Station. I would recommend changing the rowing machine in the hotel gym to an elliptical machine. It is just a dust collector and the treadmill was the cardio everyone used. Other than that, great hotel stay!

駅近でとても便利ですが、静かで落ち着いた雰囲気でとても快適に過ごせました。スタッフの方は皆さんは笑顔でキビキビと対応していただき、とても感じが良く、大満足な滞在でした。ただ、気になる点が2点あります。・シャワーの基点となる部分の裏（下）側の清掃ができておらず水垢や汚れが見られました。床に座らないとわからない部分ですので気づきにくいかと思います。・今回2泊したため、ECO清掃をお願いしました。使用済みのカップは取り替えて欲しかったです。シーツなどのリネン類は理解できますが、カップは衛生的にも交換して欲しいと残念に思いました。

パッと見て綺麗。ただ洗面台シンクが詰まっていて水が流れにくく、ついには詰まる。。。きっと排水トラップ部分を掃除してないんでしょうね。見えないところサボるとこうなります、という典型だと感じます。期待してただけに、非常に残念でした。

Lovely hotel, with wonderfully welcoming and kind staff. The room is the perfect size for two guests with a large tub and very nice shower. The hotel offers amenities such as razor, skincare, toothbrush, etc. which is helpful if you forget something or want to pack lightly. The hotel is very close to the Ueno station and 7-11 making is very convenient. Will definitely stay at Nogha Ueno again the next time we are in Tokyo. Highly recommend!

Neighborhood has very limited dining opportunities, and despite its geographical proximity to JR Ueno station, you'll feel like a lab rat in a maze accessing it. The hotel is nicely designed and has large rooms, especially for Tokyo. But I spent four nights unable to shave because the hip designer neglected to put a light anywhere near the sink and mirror.

Good location. Nice property and good breakfast. Bad customer service. We stayed in three different Nohga hotels the past two weeks and this was the only one with bad customer service. I asked for a nespresso machine in the room for my birthday, as they have them in some rooms, they did not accept. I wanted to eat a croissant in my room after breakfast, the staff did not accept. Are we at school? We did not enjoy this hotel because of the staff.

Modern, hip, design hotel about 10 minute walk from Ueno station and Kasai Ueno station (for express train to/from Narita airport). In the middle of a vibrant neighborhood,,with a matrix of narrow streets and allleys filled with dozens (hundreds?) of restaurants of every kind. Compact efficient lodging with Western bedding,helpful staff, gadget-filled rooms ;flatscreen TV, Bluetooth speaker bedside, etc. just what we needed.

Windows are not sound proof and there was an ongoing construction in the night. Also the restaurant on 1F is clearly trying to rip people off, tiny bit of food and costs 8000yen dinner. If I didn’t have the 5000yen one off coupon I wouldn’t have dined there. Room is particularly small and without bathtub. Comparing to Asakusa View Hotel Annex Rokku, though the price is almost the same but this hotel is clearly a downgrade.
