We booked this option on short notice, after another hotel announced their AC was broken. As a few other reviews mention, the nature of this venue as an intergenerational residential facility was not clear until after booking. As a private residence under a different name, entry was not obvious besides a nearby laminate, so entering the building was an initial challenge. Our check-in was delayed slightly by the concierge taking a phone call, and dealing with three elderly residents, at the same time. We do not envy his role, but found the distinction between aparthotel and residential facility to be non-existent. Upon arrival at our floor, the door was wide open, so we needed to ensure there were no residents inside before feeling assured of the security of the place. We did benefit from ample space in a two bedroom apartment, but the layout of an accessible tenancy meant that the WC sink tap had been converted to a bidet with yellow stains. No air conditioning from the high heats except a standing cooler fan in one room, which wasn't very powerful. So, not the best night's sleep we've had. Cutlery in the kitchen was suspicious, the washing up left to the discretion of the previous guest. Only before leaving did I find a sponge and some liquid in what we had mistaken for a tissue box. The rooftop, advertised as a selling in the listing, was closed from 8pm to all residents, which was a further disappointment. We should have kept our existing booking.

First of all, they did not disclose that the service apartments are in a senior living facility. Not that it is a deal breaker but it would be nice to know in advance… I came here to work for a week. When I got to my apartment, there was no dish soap, trash bags, or scrubbers. Just odd. I went and bought some. Then the WiFi. Non-existent. The router didn’t work so I called the front desk. They came and said it was a problem with the apartment and would have a tech out on Tuesday (this was Friday). He told me I could hop on other units for the time being. Each unit I tried was hit or miss. They would constantly lose connections. On Tuesday, no tech came. I called and they said “sorry” well send someone tomorrow”. No one ever came. If you are a senior and don’t need to work, it might not be a big deal. I was THERE TO WORK. I will not stay there again.

The rooms are located inside a senior citizen service building, but it’s not mentioned outside so we were looking for the property for a long time. The front desk charged us city tax which we already paid for. The studio is very nice, clean and spacious. But there were a lot of ‘small’ things that could be better; no floor towel for the open shower (so the bathroom floor is always wet when you shower), only one towel for two people, no hair dryer, a garbage bin in the middle of the room without a lid. There’s a small kitchen which is nice, with a dish washer, but nothing to wash any dishes (soap or towel).
