Only hot water in the shower. My daughter got scalded. No water pressure in the bathroom sink. The workout room, pool and breakfast area all closed. We paid full price for nothing more than a room. The people were good, but the services advertised were not there.

Nothing is as advertised.... no pool no gym elevator broken smells of smoke and weed in the halls. Staff was nice, beds were ok.

When I arrived in Platte City later in the evening, could not find the street the property was located, after asking at a Gas Station, found property. When checking in, was informed there was no breakfast and the pool was closed for renovations along with other renovations in the building. These are 2 items listed on there site.The Motel was also changing to long term stay customers and changing management. Received the room key and we headed down the hall way that had filthy carpets, walls under repair. Arrived at the room and unlocked the door and tried to open it, the door was jammed, pushed with my shoulder and door opened. Once inside we could see the door frame had been previously damaged and the door lock was also damaged. Looked as if somebody had previously broken open the door. Walked around room found paint stains on the carpet and and bed skirting. An arm chair had stains from an unknown liquid. The was a few other deficiencies we noticed. At this point we decided the room and Motel was unsafe and not sanitary. We went back to the main desk and told the receptionist what we found and we could not stay. She apologized and said the hotel was under renovation. We left. I had checked the the rating for this Motel prior to booking and it had a High review. I did not check the individual reviews until after. My Mistake. Won’t Happen Again. I would give this place no more than 2 out of 10

It was like the cleaning person did the bare minimum. The bed was clean and made but, there was only 1 washcloth, toilet paper was empty, Kleenex empty. Tub was peeling and floor dirty. Advertised breakfast , pool and hot-tub but all were under construction. When I pay for hotel I consider that breakfast is included bit, it was not.

We picked this place to stay for two nights due to its location and price compared to surrounding are. We also picked it because it had breakfast offered. It turns out the Quality Inn is turning into a Suburban Lodge extended stay, as of mid March 2023, according to the on-site workers. Amenities like airport shuttle service or breakfast, that are listed as offered, aren't actually offered. We would have picked a different hotel based on no breakfast offered alone, had we known the truth. Whether we eat the breakfast or not, it's nice to have drinks offered in the morning and the option to grab or something or not Workers seemed to be the brightest part of this rundown place, but I never was able to get the extra pillows I requested so I was left frustrated their too. I tried multiple times to get extra pillows. Our room wasn't even ready when we got there after check-in time. With all few other little things that didn't go well, I would avoid this place until the remodeling is done and read the reviews at that time. When we checked in, there was an unpleasant odor. We were placed on the third floor. The elevator was out of order and had been for quite some time. We get up to the room and there’s a “party” going on across the hall with loud music. We go into the room and the smoke detectors had been ripped off of the wall. At that point we decided it was unsafe to stay at the property. We got the feeling that this wasn’t a place where families stayed.

First room I got the TV didn’t work and the door would not lock, got another room where all that worked but the refrigerator still had someone else’s food left in it and pea ants( not a lot) where on the counter and floor. The (security) doors wouldn’t let me in half the time, so I would have to go to the main lobby to get in

DO NOT BOOK HERE!! I travel frequently and have NEVER had to immediately check out of a room! The smell was horrendous, there was dead bugs floating in the toilet, plaster was crumbling all over the facility, and somethingthat looked like vomit on the stairs. I would not have bathed my farm animals in the bath tub. The furniture had suspicious white staines all over it. I don't believe the bedding had been changes since the last person stayed there. I didnt get any pictures because I was afraid to sit anything down in the room. There was bed bug shells and droppings on the mattress and a party going on in the parking lot that the cops showed up to as we were leaving. The staff was kind on check in and even after I immediately checked out so there was the only positive. I was 2.5 hours away from home at 10:30 PM and would have rather taken my chances sleeping in a parking lot than at this hotel. Honestly it should be shut down.

roach infested. If i wasn't needing a place with a late check in (2am) I would have never stayed here. The next morning I contacted the front desk informing him of our disappointment and desire to check out earlier than expected and wanted our money back for the nights we didnt stay, he (Chris) presumes to curse at me, threaten to call police (for whatever reason) and told us we needed to leave after we already explained we wanted to leave. He threatened to keep our deposit and not refund us. Then when i come to the front face to face he pretends the conversation neve happen and presumes to refund me (which I still have no received)

This place is awful!! Never ever stay here. There was hair in the sheets, the water wouldn't drain in the shower, dog hair on the chair, the whole room smelled horrible. The floor was sticky and there was weird sticky spills on the floor and on the tables etc. Linens were stained. Just horrible. I paid $171 dollars for this and we didn't even sleep in the beds, it was too terrible. 0 out of 5 stars.

Our first room we went to was not cleaned/prepped for us so we went and received a second room. The second room was prepared and the beds were made but it was filthy. There were hairballs on the ground and we found one in the bed, the beds were COVERED in what looked like dog hair, the TV box was dangling under the TV, the mirrors were dirty, and there was PUBIC HAIR IN THE BATHTUB. We also found two spiders in the bathroom which was displeasing. We were very upset especially since we have two children. We did not even think about taking showers because of how unsanitary it was.

Staff was amazing, especially Kathy. She went above and beyond to ensure I had the room I needed on ground floor. The room itself was super clean, fresh smelling and good quality! Bed comfortable, linens and pillows clean and soft. I felt safe there.

Room smelled of mildew, stove top didn't work, bathroom door was missing the door handle, bathtub had black mold, door to the room had a broken frame you could see out to the hallway with the door shut. None of the amenities were usable everything said closed sorry for the inconvenience. Overall nasty

This was the dirtiest most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed at. Smelt like dog urine and smoke. Hair up and down all the hallways and stairwells. Shower had so much paint peeling it couldn’t drain. One sheet on the bed with no blanket. Staff had no idea how to provide a blanket. Staff had a baby on site while checking in. Took 45 minutes to get that done. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

While the staff was friendly and our beds and rooms were ok, this place needs a lot of work. Our tv and remote didn’t work, there isn’t a coffee pot or any cups nor shampoo, conditioner, hangers, limited towels, lamps don’t work, no blankets, missing a dial to control temperature and the ice machine on the second floor doesn’t work.

Room was big, shower was nice and hot. Bed was comfy, price was great. Did not get the King bed I reserved but got 2 queen beds for cheaper price. Nice kitchen area with stove and refrigerator was a big plus. Over all nice motel to stay at.

Wellll.... i checked in around 10 pm after a 2 hour drive. Asked about the shuttle service and was told i would get information and never got any. I even walked to the front desk and pushed the bell but after 2-3 mins i decided not to worry about it. I had a very early flight so i woke up at 330 am to take a shower... which did NOT work. The shower function didnt work at all... it would have had been a bath and i didnt have that much time. Its fine, whatever... tried to check out and tell the front desk but no one ever came out after ringing the bell a few times at 4:15 am... there was even another peraon sitting there watching tv... just waiting for someone. No one came... i had to leave so i left the keys on the counter. When i got to the Kansas city airport i realized when i checked in with my military ID... i never got it back from the employee. May have been my fault... but why couldnt they kindly just bring it to my room when it was found? Not a great start to a travel day! :(

Here’s what wasn’t good: main door out of alignment and had to lift handle up to get the door to latch properly, bathroom door would only close a third of the way from full open due to rubbing floor tile. Vanity sink very slow drain. No Kleenex in room & no daily service. Ceiling had large area old water stain.

The ceiling is crumbling in the hallway. Our air condition only worked for the first few minutes. Then it blew hot air. The rest of the time. A towels smell like ashtray. There are stains in the hallway in the lobby that could easily be cleaned up. It seems like the hotel used to be really nice and has fallen into disrepair. Possibly. It has been taken over by new management and they are trying to fix things up but there are a lot of things still left undone.

First room I got the TV didn’t work and the door would not lock, got another room where all that worked but the refrigerator still had someone else’s food left in it and pea ants( not a lot) where on the counter and floor. The (security) doors wouldn’t let me in half the time, so I would have to go to the main lobby to get in

Absolutely awful! When we went to check in at night they told us sorry we overbooked 20 rooms so best we can do is give you a refund. Left me and my family stranded. Heard from another hotel what they did was sell our room out from under us for more money bcuz there was absolutely no other hotel rooms anywhere in the whole KC area. The kid and yes I say kid behind the front desk said sorry first come first serve on check in. We were dumbfounded like what!?! What’s the purpose of a reservation then? He was on the phone with the manager trying to get him to talk to me but he refused. I demanded his phone number and called him and he said we’re done here and hung up on me. Watched 3 other families while we there told the same thing. When you go to look online they were still even showing they still had rooms yet were turning away. Worst part still have not got our refund yet. Will be pursuing legal action if we don’t. Oh and another customer told me they got a room but no working shower and they wouldn’t give her a refund or discount. This place needs shut down. All they are doing is scamming people out of money. Cannot believe they are part of Choice Hotels!

This was by the far the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was dirty, refrigerator wasn’t plugged in and when we opened it - the smell about knocked you over. There were stink bugs everywhere, even in the bed. The floor was absolutely disgusting and falling in. Front desk wasn’t helpful at all. Spoke with the manager Crystal about the experience, she ended up hanging up on me multiple times and telling me that because we didn’t check out within a few minutes of checking in - nothing could be done. Even though when we did try to talk to someone at the front desk that was ‘closed’ we were told we had to call the next day and speak to a manager. Overall TERRIBLE and DISGUSTING experience.

I couldn't be more happier with the staff!! I showed up and of course choice over booked them, so they had a room that was down for maintenance, they offered it to me, me knowing and have worked in the business and knowing what ot was like having overbooked with Taylor swift being in town i was happy with it. All thatvwas wrong was it was recently painted, refrigerator was put in backwards so u couldnt open the door and the floor was new. Gave it to me with discount. They wished everyone was as easy to work with than me and i said the same to them!!

Staff was amazing, especially Kathy. She went above and beyond to ensure I had the room I needed on ground floor. The room itself was super clean, fresh smelling and good quality! Bed comfortable, linens and pillows clean and soft. I felt safe there.

If zero was an option this place qualified. There is never anyone at the front desk. Check in was miserable, they insist on $100 incidentals hold (although there is nothing to purchase except through a vending machine) almost a week since checking out & still haven’t gotten my money back. Have called twice- no help. The rooms: security chain broken on the main door and the adjoining room door. Chair broken for the table set. The room smelled clean, but the floors made our feet black. The staff/owners: when I questioned the need for $100 hold since there weren’t any services to use them for I was meet with the response well you don’t have to stay here. Well ma’am I’m traveling with two small kids and we unfortunately pre-paid through Expedia or trust me we wouldn’t have stayed. There’s a full kitchenette in the rooms and a microwave and apartment size fridge. That was nice. However no coffee maker & no staff made coffee Sunday morning. Was informed by another person staying that he called the help number and they said they weren’t on duty until after 9. So no breakfast and no coffee as advertised. Not at all a restful night. People up all night playing loud music and walking the halls. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere.

I have many things to say, but I will just write this, be careful about this Hotel, they will try and keep your deposit. I’m going to have to sue, to get back mine. I purchased for two days, ended up checking out early, the lady at the front desk said she would credit me, for the time I didn’t stay, I said it wasn’t an issue but she insisted, so I obliged. Come to find out it was a set up. The money she said see was crediting, another manager charged me, as well as kept my deposit!! Claims I took a towel and damaged a rug or something. I did not damage anything!! And I always check to make sure, before leaving any hotel!! This was made up to charge me and keep my deposit!! This bad and deceitful business practice will STOP!!!

This is no longer a Quality Inn. It’s Suburban Studios, an extended stay hotel. The pool is under repair and breakfast will be offered in the future. The front desk staff, Claude, was fantastic—friendly and knowledgeable about the changes. It was a comfortable, clean, quiet stay well worth the Expedia pricing, just not what is advertised on Expedia.

When I arrived in Platte City later in the evening, could not find the street the property was located, after asking at a Gas Station, found property. When checking in, was informed there was no breakfast and the pool was closed for renovations along with other renovations in the building. These are 2 items listed on there site.The Motel was also changing to long term stay customers and changing management. Received the room key and we headed down the hall way that had filthy carpets, walls under repair. Arrived at the room and unlocked the door and tried to open it, the door was jammed, pushed with my shoulder and door opened. Once inside we could see the door frame had been previously damaged and the door lock was also damaged. Looked as if somebody had previously broken open the door. Walked around room found paint stains on the carpet and and bed skirting. An arm chair had stains from an unknown liquid. The was a few other deficiencies we noticed. At this point we decided the room and Motel was unsafe and not sanitary. We went back to the main desk and told the receptionist what we found and we could not stay. She apologized and said the hotel was under renovation. We left. I had checked the the rating for this Motel prior to booking and it had a High review. I did not check the individual reviews until after. My Mistake. Won’t Happen Again. I would give this place no more than 2 out of 10

The place was convenient for the places we needed to go and back to the hotel, but the room was dusty and not cleaned properly. There was streaks & spatter of something sticky all over the fridge, microwave, and counter tops. The bathroom was not cleaned at all did my own cleaning there.

The elevator did not work. This is no longer a quality inn and suites but is called suburban studios. So made it hard to find. The halls and stairs had not been vacuumed. There was a crust around the drain in the bathtub. There were brown spots on the ceiling the floor of our room was tile and was so dirty that when I took a shower I left muddy footprints in tub. The smoke detector was covered in paint.

Only hot water in the shower. My daughter got scalded. No water pressure in the bathroom sink. The workout room, pool and breakfast area all closed. We paid full price for nothing more than a room. The people were good, but the services advertised were not there.

This establishment was dirty and trash everywhere around the place,no breakfast and it states there is a morning breakfast. Bedding was stained yellow. Noisy people above on the next floor had to walk up and tell them to keep it down, come to find out they live there and there dog would not shut up and running around in there room. The gentlemen out front was working his ass off to make it right I applaud him for his effort. But the bullet holes and the locks drilled out on the doors were kinda sketchy to say the least

It was like the cleaning person did the bare minimum. The bed was clean and made but, there was only 1 washcloth, toilet paper was empty, Kleenex empty. Tub was peeling and floor dirty. Advertised breakfast , pool and hot-tub but all were under construction. When I pay for hotel I consider that breakfast is included bit, it was not.

With all few other little things that didn't go well, I would avoid this place until the remodeling is done and read the reviews at that time. This was one of the worst experiences I had at a hotel and I wish I would have done more research in reading more recent reviews on this place, before booking a reservation.

If zero was an option this place qualified. There is never anyone at the front desk. Check in was miserable, they insist on $100 incidentals hold (although there is nothing to purchase except through a vending machine) almost a week since checking out & still haven’t gotten my money back. Have called twice- no help. The rooms: security chain broken on the main door and the adjoining room door. Chair broken for the table set. The room smelled clean, but the floors made our feet black. The staff/owners: when I questioned the need for $100 hold since there weren’t any services to use them for I was meet with the response well you don’t have to stay here. Well ma’am I’m traveling with two small kids and we unfortunately pre-paid through Expedia or trust me we wouldn’t have stayed. There’s a full kitchenette in the rooms and a microwave and apartment size fridge. That was nice. However no coffee maker & no staff made coffee Sunday morning. Was informed by another person staying that he called the help number and they said they weren’t on duty until after 9. So no breakfast and no coffee as advertised. Not at all a restful night. People up all night playing loud music and walking the halls. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere.

Property is dated. They have tried to do some updates to make this appear more modern. Our room had new cabinets/kitchenette. Newer paint in bathroom (they left painters tape around light fixtures.) Bathroom shower is dated. I only saw a bar of soap. No shampoo or conditioner. Advertising breakfast on website, but they do not offer breakfast. I even asked thinking we maybe missed it. For a quick night sleep it was okay. Rooms were not sound proof. Listened to highway traffic all night.

I'll start from checking in it took a half hour to get checked in the king bedroom suite had three pillows on the bed of one which had blood stains on it. There was hair in the shower. They have an ice machine in the main lobby but there is no ice bucket or cups in your room. The room was booked for two people but there was one set of towels. We tried multiple times to call the front desk but to no avail we could get no morning wake up call or even an answer at the desk for that matter at every hour of the night we tried to call. We were woke up at 5:00 in the morning by dogs barking in the hallway. They have a breakfast room that serves no breakfast. Two of the main doors to the hotel have been shot out by BB's. It was a horrible experience and this is the kind of place that makes you feel like you should take your clothes off before you come home.

The only positive thing I can say about the room is how cold the ac is. There was a big gap under the door to the hall that I had to stuff with towels. Hair on the lamp, toe nails, something stuck to the floor under the table. I booked a king room and was told they were all dirty so I was put in a queen room. Hit with a deposit when I arrived which normally would be fine if it was disclosed prior. Also the pool was advertised but that has been down for months same with the elevator. If you decide to stay bring your own blanket. The blankets are very very thin.

The hotel is needing a lot of maintenance. The first room the TV didn't work and the door handle turned the wrong direction. In The second room that we were moved to, 2 outlets didn't work. When I plugged in my curling iron, the TV turned off!!! The hallway floors were very dirty

This is an old, out dated hotel. It is understaffed and in poor condition.i waited 15 minutes for check-in because the front desk lady was folding laundry. The elevator didn't work. The tv didn't work. The hair dyer didnt work. The room phone wasn't connected. Hallways hadn't been vacuumed. Very dirty place.
