Getaway Villa in a Carlsbad Resort - Golf, Spa, Pool. Near beaches.

This nice clean little condo is in a resort complex and also close to grocery shopping and major roads. A dedicated parking spot is right in front. The furnishings are comfortable and the kitchen is well-supplied with all the basics. A good value for the price.

Great location on a resort property. Your own no fee parking space(no hotel valet parking fees, 45 a day). Short walk to hotel main lobby, Bar, Bobs Chop house. Hotel ammenities not included but we dont use those anyway just the Bar and Restaurants.

This is a clean unit in a beautiful resort. The designated parking space is very convenient and the owner is responsive. We will stay here again.

This was an excellent location on the La Costa grounds. Parking was reserved and right in front of the building of the unit. Walking distance to Gelson’s grocery store and a great breakfast place called the Broken Yolk in addition to property restaurants. Also easy access to freeway to get into downtown Carlsbad to go to the beach or other restaurants. The owners were very responsive to all questions. We enjoyed our stay.

The apartment was great value for the money. Other units in this resort are suites, this is a full one bedroom with 2 baths. We stayed here to have easy access to the Omni tennis programs....we took both private lessons at the tennis courts and joined drill sessions, but we weren't allowed to book the Omni courts just to play....the nearest public courts are nice, but a 10 minute drive away.

The property is spacious, clean, and comfortable. A nice place to be after a day of adventure. If you want to save money the kitchen is great for a home cooked meal. The hotel restaurants and spa are a short stroll. There is a Gelson's Market within walking distance.

This was a great trip except it wasn't made clear in the listing that while you are on the Omni Resort property - You do not have access to any of the resort facilities except for the restaurants and shops. Everything has a lock or gate code. Kind of a disappointing vibe - they make you feel like you're not a member and don't belong there.

Loved my time here. Kind of wished there was a balcony large enough to sit on, but I did go to the pool a couple of times and I was the only one out there both times!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. Both times the house was clean and well equipped. It's nice to have the option to save money and eat in. The bed is so comfortable. The host has been very nice both times. Easy access to the building and unit. The location is near many get areas in north county. We highly recommend this property.

Check in was easy and the place was clean when we walked in. However, there were many things I didn't like. On the first night, the bedroom was very cold. The heating/airconditioner is only in the living room so it took awhile (next night) for the bedroom to warm up. In my opinion that was unacceptable. The water pressure in the shower is non existent. The TV didn't work all the time. So although, the place was clean, the check in was easy and communication with the property manager was immediate, there were so many things that needed attention. But at least it was a clean place to stay.

Until now, I've been very happy with VRBO bookings. We had 6 nights at this apartment, from September 10-16. It's September 24th and I'm still annoyed.Pros: 1) clean apartment 2) well-stocked kitchen 3) Location - sort ofCons: 1) washer and dryer are NOT in the apartment, as listed, but down in the garage. Two large, commercial washers and dryers require payment (it cost me 10 to do two small loads - I separate whites and colors). Washers had very basic setting, yet difficult to understand how to operate, and cycle times weren't accurate. 2) I needed to iron linen pants to go out, but there was NO iron in the apartment, despite in listing3) Host guide gave two owner phone numbers to contact if anything at all was needed. I texted both phone numbers twice and to this day have still not heard back from them4) Bed is too soft. Mattress is cheap (or wearing out) and covered with a spongy topper5) Pillows are horrible, too high and lumpy. I woke up with a sore neck every morning6) AC in living room is not "central." It is a wall unit that we couldn't have on at night because it was too loud. As a result, we were too hot in the bedroom, despite one floor fan7) It may be a "Smart" TV, but there's nothing on but news channels. You have to log in with your own Netflix or Amazon Prime, etc., if you want to watch anything else.I will be far more diligent in future in reading negative reviews, because this one has them and there are similarities to mine.

Very well equipped kitchen, great instructions on everything, a very comfortable bed, it definitely could use some upgrades, Bathroom vanity and kitchen, otherwise good deal for the price

We came to Carlsbad to celebrate one of our daughter’s birthday. When we come to Carlsbad we usually stay at our timeshare, but it was unavailable for these dates. Our oldest daughter joined us, so it was helpful to be able to set up a bed for her from the couch. The rental is well appointed but we wish the window coverings in the living room were able to block out light for sleeping. Since we were only there to sleep, it worked out ok.

I had stopped using VRBOs due to several bad experiences. This one may have restored my faith. The unit was dated, but all worked and cleaner than units of my past experiences.

I wouldn’t stay again.Bed was uncomfortable for me.Pillows were bad, towels were thinTv only had news and old shoes..no access to local stations.

Correct coffee filters that fit the coffee maker, had to buy some after coffee disaster one morning. Let them in the condo for the next guests. Towel racks for hand towels in bathroom, dish towels in kitchen would be nice. Bed frame is dangerous both of us banged our knees numerous times. Maybe 2nd luggage rack would be nice but that is a trend in most places to only have one. I don't understand why 2 are not supplied.

Highly recommend this awesome place. We’ve stayed at other areas of this Omni, and appreciate the ease of check in/out and how responsive the owner is. Can’t wait for a return visit!

I grew up in LA and always just passed through Carlsbad to head down to San Diego or Mexico. The condo was in a beautiful location, the Omni LaCosta Resort. I walked every morning through the property and everything was very close by, Minutes from the beach and from other fun beach towns. The condo was neat and comfortable, I would definitely stay there again. Who knows maybe I will retire in Carlsbad someday!
