We had an absolute fabulous stay at this place. We had a pre check in - which was no issue since it’s entrance has a door code. The Phil was nice to leave the lights on and the house was nice and warm when we got there. It’s very clean and has nice touches. The kitchen is stocked - but wouldn’t cook big family meals as it’s quite small. But it was perfect for our 2 night stay. We also loved the outside. The children got to see the chickens and we were sooo lucky to score some chicken eggs (of course at discretion from Phil). Overall we were very happy and will definitely stay here again if where in the area. Thank you Phil

This rental was outstanding! My wife and I brought our son who is in the Airforce in Oklahoma to spend a week with his brother who is serving in the Marines and preparing for deployment. We wanted to have a relaxing week together as a family prior to his ship date. This property was above and beyond what we expected. The bedroom has a huge and very comfortable bed, along with a very comfy trundle bed with two mattresses. Plenty of room for alk to sleep comfortably. There were board games, cards, reading books etc. There was also a closet with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The free wifi was great and a nice suze tv in tge luving area fully loaded with all apps typically used. The kitchen was fully equipped with anything you could possibly need. Fresh snacks and coffee as well. There were two very nice reclining leather sofas, a full bar type counter with chairs, a futon a dining tabke for four. The bathroom was fully stocjed with everything you need and a large tub and rainfall shower head. The towels and wash clothes were plush and plentiful. The property views were outstanding and the fire pit area complete with plenty of firewood was so relaxing. There was also a large are with comfortable patio space and furniture with a large gas grill we enjoyed cooking out on. This place was so peaceful and definitely pet friendly and clean. The hosts were very friendly and there to please. This place is a hidden gem. Highly recommend!!

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything we needed was already there, we were so excited to have fresh chicken eggs as a gift from the host and the beautiful happy chickens that we got to meet. I loved the garden and the swings were a hit for my grandchildren. They didn’t want to leave. We all really enjoyed our stay and the bed was so compfy, we were so grateful we didn’t have to run the ac because the windows when left open gave a fantastic cross breeze through the house. All in all we loved our stay. We would choose this home again.

My wife and I accompanying our son to Escondido for his college orientation at John Paul Catholic University in Escondido. We're were just 9 mins from the main campus! The accommodations for the three of us were perfect. Everything was thought of that we could ever need down to fresh eggs from the owners organically fed chickens! It really is a cute place with the space utilized so efficiently. My wife and I stayed in the main bedroom just after you enter the unit. Our son slept on the futon in the main living area. He could have also slept on the leather couches that recline! The views from the tree swing area and the fire pit on the property were pretty spectacular. Loved the bar and all the kitchen accoutrements behind it. We met Phil and he was such a gracious guy. Made sure we had everything and even pointed out the chopped wood for the smokeless fire pit. We thoroughly enjoy an evening with our son around the firepit the night before he began college and we took some pretty memorable pictures by firelight too! If you're thinking about this property... think no more and book it! You won't be disappointed.

Our family loved this bungalo style housing. The place was spotless and comfortable with warm decorations and plenty of accommodations. We could barely get our daughters out of the tree swings. The bar style kitchen had everything we needed to gather for drinks or have a family dinner (fresh eggs are an added bonus). On cooler nights it was easy to get the rooms to a comfortable temperature. Everything was so well communicated and organized. We can't say enough about how much we loved staying here and will be coming back when in Southern California.

What a wonderful place to stay! My wife and I spent two weeks in this perfect little guesthouse. It had everything we needed from a large bedroom with king size bed, nice living room with kitchenette. Beautiful patio with mtn. view. Phil was real easy to work with.

Beautiful rental for our family of 4. Short drive to San Diego Safari Park. The view from the patio and the fig tree with swings was so relaxing! Easy check in and out process, reserved parking spot. In very quiet residential area. Thanks again for the Easter goodies!

As soon as my husband and I arrived here I was transported to memories of vacations in Europe. This is the perfect little apartment to get away from it all, with beautiful views and surroundings - you really could be anywhere. Phil was very communicative and even made sure we could check in early which was very appreciated. Our request for fresh towels was met with total understanding and swift action. The entire stay was comfortable, relaxing and honestly one of our best rental choices. We were made to feel very welcome for the get go with a lovely personalized message and a variety of snacks and hot drinks laid out, on arrival. Seeing the chickens every morning was a personal highlight - they are very chatty. We didn’t get to make the most of the amenities like the patio and bbq etc but we will be back for sure! Thank you!

I really enjoyed my time here. The bed was comfortable, the amenities were great, and I was easily able to relax. Great set up with the TV and bar. The electric stove, air fryer, fridge, and microwave have you all the amenities of home. I have stayed in other VRBO's where these aspects are missing. The shower is spacious, deep, and has great water pressure. There is a bidet too which is appreciated. The chickens were awesome, and the complimentary half dozen eggs were a nice treat. Phil was a very courteous host. There if you needed him, and gave you your space if you didn't. I will be coming back next year!

Thank you Phil for opening up your home to use while our house in Murrieta was under repair. What a nice area of Escondido with excellent views of the valley below. Great soaking tub and all the conveniences were appreciated. Such a nice touch to offer fresh eggs, s’mores making supplies and snacks. Great, relaxing stay just moments from my work.

I heard nothing but the birds and an occasional car passing by as I sat under the massive oak tree and drank my morning coffee and worked. Great communication with the owner.

What a wonderful place to stay! My wife and I spent two weeks in this perfect little guesthouse. It had everything we needed from a large bedroom with king size bed, nice living room with kitchenette. Beautiful patio with mtn. view. Phil was real easy to work with.

This was a wonderful place to stay—just the right size for what we needed. The location is peaceful and quiet, and the home had everything we could ask for while being out of town. As soon as my husband and I arrived here I was transported to memories of vacations in Europe. This is the perfect little apartment to get away from it all, with beautiful views and surroundings - you really could be anywhere. Phil was very communicative and even made sure we could check in early which was very appreciated. Our request for fresh towels was met with total understanding and swift action. The entire stay was comfortable, relaxing and honestly one of our best rental choices. We were made to feel very welcome for the get go with a lovely personalized message and a variety of snacks and hot drinks laid out, on arrival. Seeing the chickens every morning was a personal highlight - they are very chatty. We didn’t get to make the most of the amenities like the patio and bbq etc but we will be back for sure! Thank you!

We had an absolute fabulous stay at this place. We had a pre check in - which was no issue since it’s entrance has a door code. The Phil was nice to leave the lights on and the house was nice and warm when we got there. It’s very clean and has nice touches. The kitchen is stocked - but wouldn’t cook big family meals as it’s quite small. But it was perfect for our 2 night stay. We also loved the outside. The children got to see the chickens and we were sooo lucky to score some chicken eggs (of course at discretion from Phil). Overall we were very happy and will definitely stay here again if where in the area. Thank you Phil

So lovely. So homey. Relaxing. Comfortable. We were visiting local family, in a high stress situation, and it was so nice to go “home” at the end of the day and feel settled. My two dogs were welcomed with dog treats. We were welcomed with snacks, s’more’s fixing, and fresh eggs -one blue- from on-site chickens. We’ll be back!

We had a wonderful few days here catching up on family news. The only downsize was having the door open directly into the bedroom because of the babies nap times. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a place close to the Safari Park. Loved the fresh eggs!!

Our family loved this bungalo style housing. The place was spotless and comfortable with warm decorations and plenty of accommodations. We could barely get our daughters out of the tree swings. The bar style kitchen had everything we needed to gather for drinks or have a family dinner (fresh eggs are an added bonus). On cooler nights it was easy to get the rooms to a comfortable temperature. Everything was so well communicated and organized. We can't say enough about how much we loved staying here and will be coming back when in Southern California.

What a wonderful property! It was in the country, quiet, and so peaceful, with all kinds of birds singing and abundant foliage. The hosts were so kind and accommodating--even letting us use their washer and dryer. We enjoyed just sitting outside and relaxing, petting the friendly cat (who loves Churu and Temptations). Everything was so comfortable, especially the large bathtub. Anything you might need was provided--from a Keurig to a fridge/freezer--even condiments. I would much rather stay here than in a hotel! What a blessing this Vrbo is in Escondido and I would highly, highly recommend staying here when you visit San Diego.
