Cedars Rest is so peaceful and relaxing - and we LOVED the lovely furnished front porch. The breezes kept it so cool and it looks out over 20+ acers of countryside. Inside is decorated beautifully and coffee, tea and snacks are provided in the fully equipped kitchen. The description and photos are accurate.

My husband & I went to this cozy cabin for our 52nd wedding anniversary. We stayed for 4 nights of complete quiet during the day & night with only hearing birds chirping. We never left the cabin except to go to dinner 2 nights at Olde Liberty Station. We did get to use the fire pit one night prior to rain. We sat on the porch everyday even with it raining to watch the Bluebirds, Meadowlarks, Thrashes, Cardinals & even a little bunny. We had planned on riding the ridge but it was so pleasant & quiet we waited until the day left. The cabin is exactly like the pictures online. Thank you Christy & Bryan for sharing your cabin.

This property is absolutely beautiful and the listing is spot on. So cozy and serene. We loved our stay the entire time. Our two dogs had a field day on the land and wide open spaces. The outdoor patio is a great spot for a morning coffee and the view was beautiful.

Very well maintained property that appears to be relatively new. Easy to book and great communication with the owners. Our dogs loved the yard, playing ball and being lazy on the porch. They even greeted a few deer. I will return!!!

Cedar's Rest was a wonderful surprise. The lovely cabin, sitting in the middle of a picturesque acreage, was way beyond our expectations. Our host, Christy, thought of everything. There was no amenity that she overlooked, including seasonal decorations. And she was quick to answer any questions we had. The cabin was so cozy and comfortable, it felt like home. And we loved sitting under the stars around the fire pit (wood provided by host). Cedar's Rest is far and away our favorite VRBO that we've enjoyed over our many years of travel. We've already recommended it to family and friends and can't wait to visit again!. Thanks, Christy!

This was a perfect stay for two old friends and a pup. We were able to relax on the porch or in the hammock, do some demanding walks from Peaks of Otter / Appalachian trail and enjoy a nice grilled dinner on the way back. Peaceful and very lovely views. Great communication from hosts.

If I could give more stars I would! We had a wonderful stay at Cedar's Rest. The cabin was spotless and had so many thoughtful touches throughout. The host even left s'mores for our kids, which they absolutely loved making over the beautiful firepit! It was a perfect setup for our family (2 adults, 2 kids) and the location is wonderful as well. We enjoyed waking up, drinking coffee on the deck and watching deer walk across the field, exploring Bedford and surrounding areas/mountains during the day and at night loved relaxing on the hammock and making s'mores and cooking over the firepit. Our kids even got to experience catching fireflies (which we don't have where we live) and had fun playing cornhole that was provided by the host. Host was extremely easy to communicate with. Highly recommend and would stay there again!!

A beautiful peaceful cabin. The place was immaculate with everything we needed. We loved the porch for morning coffee and the fire pit for evening wine! Very close to town and smith lake. Our dogs loved roaming the very large yard!

My partner and I enjoyed a relaxing and quiet stay at this cottage. Our dog Jesse really liked the dog treats left by the owner. As the other reviewers have remarked this was a clean cottage and everything worked and the provided coffee was delicious. The only improvement would be to remove the strong fragrance which was very strong in the cottage.

This has to be the cleanest cabin we've stayed in thus far! My only complaint would be the plug-in air fresheners - it was too overpowering for us when we first arrived. Luckily, the bugs outside were not much of an issue there, so we were able to air the place out for a bit. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Cedar's Rest. Thanks for welcoming our family to your little retreat!

This is a beautiful and comfortable home. It is surrounded by rolling farm fields and mountain tops. The home is beautifully decorated. Bryan stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed, told us some of the history, and places to visit in the area. This was a great spot to stop on our way back north, and we will certainly stop again.

Cedar’s Rest was immaculate, comfortable beds, beautifully decorated, and located in gorgeous countryside. Although it rained the entire time, it didn’t bother us. We read, played board games and relaxed inside. One of the very best places we’ve ever rented and we’ve been to quite a few. Thanks for sharing your magnificent home with us!

This little place was absolutely adorable! It’s a bit in the middle of nowhere, but that is part of its appeal. As soon as you drive up, you begin to smile because it has so much personality. The inside is so well decorated- we loved the new feel coupled with the antiques and the farmhouse look. The two bedrooms with king size beds were awesome for the four of us, and the rest of the house served as well. It was the perfect size for two couples. We were in town for a wedding, but wish we could’ve stayed longer. Can only imagine how amazing this place would be in the cooler months- being able to enjoy sitting on the front porch or in the chairs by the fire pit. Loved it!

This was one of the most relaxing VRBOs that we've ever stayed. (and we've stayed in a LOT of them). I honestly thought that maybe we were the first people to stay there. It all seems brand new. However, the lovely guest book inside dates back to 2021. Unbelievable! The house is spotless and everything works! The owners did not hold back on any amenities. The chalk board welcome for us and our doggie was so special. Even some dog treats for her. We were there for a wedding in Forest, VA. Easy drive. We visited the D Day Memorial and downtown Bedford. We ate at the Liberty Station and it was fabulous. It's a former train station turned into restaurant. Good food and service. Back to the house, the beds are super comfortable and have very nice sheets/bedding. The heat/ac worked perfectly. Appliances are like new. Shower is beautiful and works great. One of the highlights of our stay was having a fire pit fire both nights. It was already loaded with cardboard and logs when we got there, so easy peasy. They furnish more wood and cardboard in the barn. This is a first - our dog (labradoodle) didn't want to load up to go home! She went to the backyard and then went back up on the porch as we were trying to get her to leave!! We felt the same way. We will be back this Fall. Thanks to these host for a lovely VRBO!

Christy’s cabin was a perfect getaway for me, my friend, and my pup. I needed a quiet place away from the city to help my dog recover from knee surgery and this place suited my needs well. It’s clean, spacious for two people, and private (but still with a short driving distance to stores and restaurants). I would definitely want to come back!

Even though we checked in after dark, the property was well lit with very easy access. The home is impeccably clean and well designed. The house is set back off the road so it was very private and quiet. The owner was very accommodating letting us ask adjust our reservation. Impeccably clean, really beautiful place. Charming, cozy and classy all at the same time. Watched the sunrise from the porch and really loved the view and location. We loved staying at this home. It was extremely clean and welcoming. The decor was perfect! Such great attention to detail. The property was amazing. It was such a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. If our boys decide to go to Liberty, this will be our home away from home. Christy and Bryan were so good to us. We thought we had booked the room for an additional night and were late getting out with a new guest arriving soon. They were so understanding of our mistake. We hope to be back!

My friend and I had a wonderful weekend at Cedar’s Rest! This cabin was very comfortable and cozy. Christy was extremely accommodating, even offering us firewood to use in the outside firepit! We would love to return for another stay at Cedar’s Rest in the future!

The cabin and surroundings are so clean and peaceful. We would highly recommend this rental to those who may be visiting the Bedford, VA area. The owner was very accommodating and easy to contact. Very good experience. Would rate 10 stars if possible.

This is a beautiful and comfortable home. It is surrounded by rolling farm fields and mountain tops. The home is beautifully decorated. Bryan stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed, told us some of the history, and places to visit in the area. This was a great spot to stop on our way back north, and we will certainly stop again.

A beautiful property with amazing county meadows and woods. The home is practically brand new and very nicely decorated, clean and very convenient to Bedford and surrounding communities. Cedar’s Rest was the perfect place to stay overnight! We came down to Bedford as guests at a wedding and it was nice and close to the venue. The cabin was top notch!! We really enjoyed our visit to the D Day Memorial on Friday afternoon…definitely worth the visit!!

This was a perfect stay for two old friends and a pup. We were able to relax on the porch or in the hammock, do some demanding walks from Peaks of Otter / Appalachian trail and enjoy a nice grilled dinner on the way back. Peaceful and very lovely views. Great communication from hosts.

A little off the beaten path is this 2 bedroom dreamy home. We chose this VRBO since it allowed us to bring our pup and crate him whole we.moved our daughter into Liberty University. All the comforts of home so much better than a hotel

A beautiful peaceful cabin. The place was immaculate with everything we needed. We loved the porch for morning coffee and the fire pit for evening wine! Very close to town and smith lake. Our dogs loved roaming the very large yard!

We loved our stay at Cedar's Rest. The cabin was immaculate and in the perfect location for enjoying the historical sights of Bedford and other nearby attractions. Bryan and Christy thought of everything that travelers need, including providing plenty of electrical outlets where guests need power. The kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed the wildlife and birds as we relaxed on the porch and on the hammock. We would love to return!

Cedars Rest is so peaceful and relaxing - and we LOVED the lovely furnished front porch. The breezes kept it so cool and it looks out over 20+ acers of countryside. Inside is decorated beautifully and coffee, tea and snacks are provided in the fully equipped kitchen. The description and photos are accurate.

There’s not enough good things I can say. The owner didn’t skip over anything! There were even some little snacks waiting for us. The place was very homey and remote. I want to go back and stay longer!!

The property was fantastic! Everything was as it had been described in the listing. There was even a little box of snacks for us and treats for our dogs waiting for us when we checked in. Our dogs loved running in the fields. We would definitely recommend!

My partner and I enjoyed a relaxing and quiet stay at this cottage. Our dog Jesse really liked the dog treats left by the owner. As the other reviewers have remarked this was a clean cottage and everything worked and the provided coffee was delicious. The only improvement would be to remove the strong fragrance which was very strong in the cottage.

If I could give more stars I would! We had a wonderful stay at Cedar's Rest. The cabin was spotless and had so many thoughtful touches throughout. The host even left s'mores for our kids, which they absolutely loved making over the beautiful firepit! It was a perfect setup for our family (2 adults, 2 kids) and the location is wonderful as well. We enjoyed waking up, drinking coffee on the deck and watching deer walk across the field, exploring Bedford and surrounding areas/mountains during the day and at night loved relaxing on the hammock and making s'mores and cooking over the firepit. Our kids even got to experience catching fireflies (which we don't have where we live) and had fun playing cornhole that was provided by the host. Host was extremely easy to communicate with. Highly recommend and would stay there again!!

We absolutely loved this cabin! Was extremely clean and beautifully decorated, there was a basket of snacks for us too! The outside was just as nice as the inside, overall it was extremely peaceful and worth the money.
