'Cypress Point' Spacious Home: Pier & Boat Launch!

The property when I showed up had grass taller than my knees. I told the home owner and she had it taken care of first thing the next morning. The property on the inside looks good. There are some bad cobwebs in some rooms and we found a trail of ants coming in through the front door but for the most part it was a good clean place. The dock was a little different. I know it’s Louisiana but it took me 2 hours to clean all the cobwebs off the seating, swings and walk way to the dock. It really needs a good pressure washing and it would be great. Overall it was a good stay. The screen door is hard to close a lot of the time but that is about it

Cypress Point was great. On property was boat launch and large floating dock. Will surely book this property again.

This property has the best view!! The dock with swings was the perfect place to relax. The camp was very spacious, well kept and very clean! We absolutely loved it! The road getting to the property was pretty rough so drive carefully. I find this is very typical for the Louisiana side properties. It's a shame really. Once we got to the property the driveway with huge loop driveway made towing a boat in and out extremely easy. Thanks to the owners for sharing!! Truly a paradise! Jay & Misti

I normally don't do a review but after thinking I need to do this. The back porch where all the sitting areas are needs pressure washing in the worst way barbecue pit that is on site the charcoal side is rotted out in the bottom really a fire hazard I read a comment that was three or four months old about the timer for lights on dock At water that didn't work well it is still broken why don't you just buy a new timer to fix it also pictures are very deceiving it makes it look to be house quality on the inside where it is not it's a trailer atmosphere it has a beutaful view to the water I just don't like to be mislead by pictures and verbal descriptions

Everything was great except we couldn’t launch the boat because the water was too low. Beautiful rental with beautiful scenery.

We enjoyed our stay at Cypress Point. The camp is very comfortable and the ramp and dock overlooking the lake are outstanding. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful sunsets.

Lovely place. House was very spacious. Loved the screened in porch. Floating dock was spectacular.

LOCATION WAS ON POINT! HAD A BOAT RAMP, WHICH WE LOVED. THE PLACE WAS JUST SO FILTHY. THE BBQ PIT WAS JUST A MESS. NO PROPANE TANK AND WE JUST REFUSED TO PUT OUR FOOD ON THAT GRILL. THE DECK OVER THE WATER WAS SO NICE BUT WE COULD NO SIT OUT THERE BECAUSE IT WAS SO DIRTY. JUST NEEDS A GOOD WASHING NOW AND AGAIN. THE HOUSE IS HUGE AND HAD PLENTY OF SPACE FOR US, JUST NOT THE CLEANEST PLACE.

For the past 18 years, our family has taken a weekend vacation to Toledo Bend. The place we normally would stay has just become too small for our growing family. However, this place had more than enough room for us to all spread out and enjoy some down time. The only “surprise” we had was that the wharf and boat launch is shared with a few camper spots along the road. We just weren’t aware of this, or we missed it in the description. It wasn’t a problem though as the guests that we did share it with were friendly. We would definitely recommend this place to large groups.

This place was great. Easy check in, very friendly owner, and great location. It was 8 mins to the Toledo town & tackle if anything was needed. The only comment would be that the exterior porch area should be pressure washed. We had toddlers and we had to constantly worry about what they were touching because the exterior area was covered in bugs. Despite that, this double wide had tons of space, two living rooms, and a great view. We didn’t bring a boat but the added boat lunch at the property is definitely a plus. For the price, you can’t beat it. Thanks for the accommodations.

The property is very beautiful and has great ammenities. I have stayed at many Vrbo rentals and have some concerns. The dock is a shared dock with campsites that are on the same proprerty as this rental. It was not a problem, but as there were others using the dock when we arrived, it was a surprise when we were not expecting it. This property is rented through a realtor, there is no one checking the state of the property before guests arrive. It needs a deep, thorough clean and walk through. There are cobwebs and spiders everywhere. While I do realize this will happen outside, the dock is covered in cobwebs and spiders, there shouldn't be spiders and cobwebs in the windows of the kitchen! All of the baseboards, shelves, and closet shelves are full of dust. The room I stayed in had an attached bath, the shower had a hole around the showerhead. The sink faucet was loose and moved around. While this property has so much potential to be great; small changes and awareness need to be addressed. The lock was broken when we got there, resulting in me having to call the contact. We did get a resolution, but after the contact had to call and ask someone else how to enter the property. The air conditioner was off when we got there, it was 88 degrees in the house and did not cool off until the sun went down. The first impression was a little unsettling. Property info inside of the house needs to be updated: wi-fi-had to call for PW. leaving instructions conflicted with email

First thing when we arrived I followed the instructions & the keypad on the door didn’t work, after multiple attempts I called the property owner & was told it was broken & a key was hidden somewhere (this should have been communicated prior) found the key after a search because she wasn’t sure where it was or which door it opened. After we hung up, I realized that this door knob couldn’t be opened from the outside at all without the key, thank goodness one of us was in the house because the key was inside. I called her back because we shouldn’t have had to worry about making sure we had the key everytime we needed to get into the house, she told me she would have her husband handle it & get a new knob or keypad.. I never heard from the woman again. We figured out how to use the sliding door and only used that door the whole weekend which was fine but I find it super unprofessional that I never heard from her again about this. Other than that this house is in really poor shape & was definitely NOT thoroughly cleaned. It was flat out dirty & the pier on the water was absolutely filthy. The shower in the room I stayed in had a shower head that came out of a literal open hole in the wall and water was dripping back into the wall. I guarantee you there is mold in there, many of us had allergic reactions plus the AC is turned off when no one is there and mold thrives in that. This place isn’t worth the cost. We enjoyed the pier and the views but that’s it. Wouldn’t recommend.

Overall, this is an excellent location with beautiful lake scenery. I would stay again.On another note, the home could benefit from a good cleaning, and not just a turnover for the next guest. Doors and walls were dirty in some places, trash can was pretty rough with a lot of crumbs and food left around the inside of the can, and sliding glass door track was filthy as well.

Check- in was 4PM, we were unable to check-in until 4:30-4:45, because the "cleankng crew" were there cleaning, then proceeds to tell us how bad of a condition and the property was in. I was very concerned, the overall cleanliness was good thank heavens. The wifi password was not in the rental as the instructions stated, The microwave didnt work, i messaged the owner to let them know with no response whatsoever. While sitting outside on the deck all you smell is sewage. One of the bathroom showers has a literal hole in the wall. The bedroom attached looked like mold on the moulding. We enjoyed the dock, swimming and fishing. That was definitely the highlight of our trip.

The home was nice and very clean. We enjoyed our stay. There were a couple of issues. Not enough towels in the bathrooms. Only one kitchen towel. The mattresses need to be updated. Loved the outdoor spaces. Great pier. We would stay here again.

Dock and location on cove is great. Camp setup is ideal with two living spaces. We would stay again.

The property is gorgeous, spacious, and quiet. We will be booking this property again. We look forward to making our way back to the lake house next year.

We stayed at this place last year for a family fishing trip, so we were knew the setup with house, fishing dock, & boat launch. Once again it served us well! Everything was as advertised. We would stay here again. The only negative was that the electricity to our whole area was knocked out by a storm that came through & had no electricity for the last 16 hours, fortunately it was cool enough to stay overnight. The manager Susie kept communicating with us about it.
