We loved staying at Stackrock cabin. It’s secluded and quiet. We loved sitting at the fire pit and watching the lightning bugs, seeing the deer in the mornings and riding our motorcycles on the beautiful mountain roads. It’s just what we needed to relax, unwind and recharge.

This cabin was perfect for a relaxing weekend of apple picking and enjoyment! I’m a tree lover and the property didn’t disappoint as it’s surrounded by trees and peacefulness. It’s close enough to town and all the different orchards but far enough out to not have the hustle and bustle and noise. Would definitely stay again. Comfy rooms. Nicely stocked kitchen. Beautiful views and cozy porch to relax in.

My favorite thing about this property was the seclusion. While sitting around the fire pit, the lack of light pollution brought out a million stars. The wildlife is abundant and exhilarating to see. The cabin was clean and just lovely. Being pet friendly, my dog had lots of room to run, untethered, without fear of nearby thoroughfares. We will stay here again.

We loved our stay here! The property was beautiful and great for us, our dog, and kids. Our kids loved going down and playing in the creek, as well as the swing and playset in the backyard. We also loved eating most of our meals outside on the porch and seeing all of the stars at night! A couple of things to note: 1) You should be able to drive the road in in any car, but there were some sections that made us pretty happy we had a high clearance vehicle (we're certain the bottom of our other car would have dragged in a few spots). 2) We could intermittently smell manure from a nearby farm. It didn't really bother us, but something that not everyone may be okay well. Overall though we had a great stay and were pleased with communication with the property manager. We would definitely stay again!

Great property, we enjoyed the privacy and the fully stocked firewood for the fire pit. The games were also a nice surprise and allowed us to unplug and unwind from tech for the weekend. Close proximity to TN where we went white water rafting. Great location to downtown Elijay.

Very comfortable for 3 of us and the pups. Loved sitting on the front porch watching the dogs explore. Comfortable beds, not too far from town, and close to lots of trails and activities. We enjoyed our stay.

The cabin is tucked away in the woods. It’s so peaceful and the front porch is perfect. The host was wonderful and check-in and check-out were super simple. We brought our dogs and they had a blast exploring the yard and woods. It was the perfect weekend getaway!!

Loved the house and the property. Clean and we spent a lot of time on the porch. The road in is a little difficult for a small car. The driveway after the gate to the property is great. We loved our stay and the owner answered within 5 minutes every time.

This was a great weekend getaway. We loved the property & the kids got to see deer right outside the windows. The play set (especially the swing) was a favorite. We love Ellijay, but we didn’t even leave the property because it was just so peaceful there. The host was wonderful. The cabin is an old home place, which was a delightful surprise. Most cabins we stay in are built just for vacation homes, but this one felt special. We plan to return!

The cabin was nice for what it is. Simple. Also the driveway is extremely bumpy which was not clear at booking. After dropping our bags we went out for dinner the first night. Upon returning there was a small bug/beetle walking across the bedspread. After later research, it looked like it was a carpet beetle. Not knowing what it was at the time, we decided we could not sleep in a bed that has bugs on top of it. We vacated and booked a hotel. Never even got settled in. Owner got a pest company in next morning and said they did not detect bugs despite me sending the owner a picture per his request. Owner said that weekend they would decide what they could do to make it right and never contacted me for 3 weeks until i emailed them to follow up. Now they say nothing they can do.

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your property! This trip was a late anniversary trip for me and my husband. We had such a great time. We loved the privacy, the porch, the coffee, the clubhouse seating area, and we want to return in a few months. Everything was clean, and we had no problems whatsoever! Thank you for letting us stay. It was one of our best experiences ever! Oh, and the town is wonderful with so many neat shops and restaurants, and the highlight was walking down tumbling trails to the waterfall and putting our feet in the creek! Such a beautiful place, and we hope to be back soon!

Loved the setting and the home. Thanks for sharing. My only wish would have been for a broom or dust mop to allow us to be sure to leave the property as we found it. I would have also liked to have dishwashing liquid to hand wash dishes

My wife and I had a great time at the cabin. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We had good comminication with the host. The host checked on us through VRBO messaging and made sure we had everything we needed. If you are looking for a place near Ellijay consider this cabin.

The property was very clean and well kept. (A priority for us.) Access to backyard fire also available. The beds were aged and needed replacement years ago. While we have a truck and got through the road to the cabin just fine - it was not kept and could have used some major trimming.

Stackrock is exactly as described and pictured. Beautiful, secluded, quaint, no frills cabin. It was perfect for our little family of 3. The grounds were great for exploring (for pets and kids). Location is convenient to local sites, hiking and Ellijay in general. It has all the amenities of home. All in all, it’s a great place. The owner was very responsive to communications and super friendly and accommodating.

I'll get some nit-picky things out of the way: Make sure you have a 4 wheel-drive vehicle, the road/driveway to the cabin is fairly rutted out. The fire pit was a big selling point to me, it would've been nice to have firewood stacked, but it was clearly communicated and I'm no newbie to scavenging for firewood, so not a big deal at all. The cabin is cozy, well-stocked, conveniently located and suited our needs perfectly. We'd definitely stay here again! Also, the checkout process was the easiest I've ever experienced. Thanks!

We had a great 3-day weekend staying in this very cozy 2 story cabin. The property itself is south of Ellijay, and is within 1 1/2 miles of Engelheim Winery - which happens to be one of our favorites. You will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere as you drive back; it's 0.3 miles through the woods to get back to a very secluded property. Please be aware that you will want a SUV or truck to the property. The driveway/road is a dirt/gravel set of tire tracks and is quite bumpy; the are not kidding with the vehicle suggestion in the description! I could not have taken my sedan back - there is not enough clearance. Note that this is not a complaint; it is just for you to be aware of. The house is two-story with two bedrooms and a nicely updated bathroom upstairs. Downstairs is a large kitchen/dining area and a sizable living room. If you want to feel like being in a rustic place/setting with all modern conveniences - this is the place!

Such a wonderful place! Mr. Locke, the host, was so very attentive during my whole stay!! The house was wonderful and at the top of a mountain gravel path. It was quiet and so much fun! Only about 5 miles to restaurants.

Nice Property. Host was very helpful and quick to respond when needed. Road in to property could use some work. Suggest you have a car with high clearance.

The cabin is tucked away in the woods. It’s so peaceful and the front porch is perfect. The host was wonderful and check-in and check-out were super simple. We brought our dogs and they had a blast exploring the yard and woods. It was the perfect weekend getaway!!

Loved the house and the property. Clean and we spent a lot of time on the porch. The road in is a little difficult for a small car. The driveway after the gate to the property is great. We loved our stay and the owner answered within 5 minutes every time.

This was a great weekend getaway. We loved the property & the kids got to see deer right outside the windows. The play set (especially the swing) was a favorite. We love Ellijay, but we didn’t even leave the property because it was just so peaceful there. The host was wonderful. The cabin is an old home place, which was a delightful surprise. Most cabins we stay in are built just for vacation homes, but this one felt special. We plan to return!

A quaint cabin nestled in the woods makes for a great getaway. As stated by others - the road is a bit of a challenge; especially after some significant rain. It is perfectly situated to enjoy a good portion of everything the area has to offer.

We needed an easy mountain getaway, and this property fit the bill! We loved how secluded it felt while still being close to town. We didn’t spend much time at the house, but it was perfectly located with all of the hiking trails in the area. Being able to bring our puppers was a plus, and they had a blast exploring the woods with the kiddos. One of the highlights was the incredible amount of lightning bugs! We will definitely be back!

I'll get some nit-picky things out of the way: Make sure you have a 4 wheel-drive vehicle, the road/driveway to the cabin is fairly rutted out. The fire pit was a big selling point to me, it would've been nice to have firewood stacked, but it was clearly communicated and I'm no newbie to scavenging for firewood, so not a big deal at all. The cabin is cozy, well-stocked, conveniently located and suited our needs perfectly. We'd definitely stay here again! Also, the checkout process was the easiest I've ever experienced. Thanks!

This cabin was perfect for a relaxing weekend of apple picking and enjoyment! I’m a tree lover and the property didn’t disappoint as it’s surrounded by trees and peacefulness. It’s close enough to town and all the different orchards but far enough out to not have the hustle and bustle and noise. Would definitely stay again. Comfy rooms. Nicely stocked kitchen. Beautiful views and cozy porch to relax in.

Great property, we enjoyed the privacy and the fully stocked firewood for the fire pit. The games were also a nice surprise and allowed us to unplug and unwind from tech for the weekend. Close proximity to TN where we went white water rafting. Great location to downtown Elijay.

We had a great 3-day weekend staying in this very cozy 2 story cabin. The property itself is south of Ellijay, and is within 1 1/2 miles of Engelheim Winery - which happens to be one of our favorites. You will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere as you drive back; it's 0.3 miles through the woods to get back to a very secluded property. Please be aware that you will want a SUV or truck to the property. The driveway/road is a dirt/gravel set of tire tracks and is quite bumpy; the are not kidding with the vehicle suggestion in the description! I could not have taken my sedan back - there is not enough clearance. Note that this is not a complaint; it is just for you to be aware of. The house is two-story with two bedrooms and a nicely updated bathroom upstairs. Downstairs is a large kitchen/dining area and a sizable living room. If you want to feel like being in a rustic place/setting with all modern conveniences - this is the place!

Lots of privacy. Comfortable furnishings. We were in Elijah for a wedding. The road in was a very narrow and washed out in many spots. That is the only down side to our visit.

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your property! This trip was a late anniversary trip for me and my husband. We had such a great time. We loved the privacy, the porch, the coffee, the clubhouse seating area, and we want to return in a few months. Everything was clean, and we had no problems whatsoever! Thank you for letting us stay. It was one of our best experiences ever! Oh, and the town is wonderful with so many neat shops and restaurants, and the highlight was walking down tumbling trails to the waterfall and putting our feet in the creek! Such a beautiful place, and we hope to be back soon!

My wife and I had a great time at the cabin. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We had good comminication with the host. The host checked on us through VRBO messaging and made sure we had everything we needed. If you are looking for a place near Ellijay consider this cabin.

We loved our stay here! The property was beautiful and great for us, our dog, and kids. Our kids loved going down and playing in the creek, as well as the swing and playset in the backyard. We also loved eating most of our meals outside on the porch and seeing all of the stars at night! A couple of things to note: 1) You should be able to drive the road in in any car, but there were some sections that made us pretty happy we had a high clearance vehicle (we're certain the bottom of our other car would have dragged in a few spots). 2) We could intermittently smell manure from a nearby farm. It didn't really bother us, but something that not everyone may be okay well. Overall though we had a great stay and were pleased with communication with the property manager. We would definitely stay again!
