A pretty little house on an ancient street that was charming and central. During a super hot week in May, the pleasant garden was a welcome sanctuary and the A/C made the inside comfortable at night. The house is extremely well equipped with all the little extras in the kitchen and bathroom that mean guests don't have to buy basic items. Beds comfortable and furnishings of a good quality. This is a home from home in a beautiful French village. The layout is perfect for two, and for a short time the downstairs bedroom would be fine for additional guests as long as you don't mind opening out to the street.Thank you to the kind and generous hosts, Andrew and Anne, and we would love to return.

The house was clean and well maintained, the position of the property while very quiet and 5 minutes walk from the centre of Brantôme had no parking. There is parking a short walk away so it wasn’t really an issue, especially given the proximity to the centre of this beautiful historic town. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need and the house stays nice and cool even on the really hot days. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return in the future

We picked this house for a number of reasons: AC, close to bakery/parking, outdoor area, quiet, and the ability to go in any direction to explore the Dordogne area. All were good, except for parking because the free lot by the bakery/Aldi was being torn up to be finished in 2026. Some days we were lucky and found parking just up the street in front of an adorable hotel, and others we parked down the hill at the Henry IV free parking lot. Having AC in the main bedroom and living room was very welcomed after a hot day with temperatures reaching low 90's. The kitchen was fully stocked and we enjoyed the welcome basket on our easy arrival day. There were a number of bakeries and stores to purchase food items as well as a fun market on Friday. Brantôme itself is a charming town to explore and has D roads to allow for easy access to plenty of other sites within 1.5 hours' drive such as chateaus, WWII site, walnut mill, prehistoric caves or one with amazing stalactites. Sitting in the garden or on the patio, we enjoyed the tranquility and birds singing. All in all, this was a wonderful base for a week!

A great smallish townhouse in the centre of Bramtome and very well appointed. Near to the shops and trails if you are biking. ( Use Kamoot for the trails) The steps to the property from the street were a bit challenging with heavy e-bikes but managed OK .
