Beachfront cottage on the Ottawa River

This was our third visit to Ryan’s cottage. We love this little cottage for our family get-togethers. It is small and simple, which we don’t mind because we spend most of our time outside. It is on a quiet part of the Ottawa River, but very close to amenities in Pembroke.

We had a very nice week at this cottage. It’s a quieter part of the river, boat-wise, so good SUP’ing and kayaking. Good fishing spots too. The cottage is on the smaller side, but it sleeps six comfortably, and otherwise we spent all our time outside, so we did not mind the smaller living area. We brought a pop-up shelter to create more shade near the water, as it’s on the sunny side. It was our second trip to this cottage, counting last year, and we are looking forward to another week this coming August.

The cottage is very cute and comfy. Ryan and Meghan were great hosts and handled a few housekeeping issues we had as quick as possible.

Nice location close to town. Waterfront very nice. Bathroom small and steps going upstairs are steep.
