Lakefront Cottage with Sunset Views

Nice cottage, lakeside had shallow water, they even put in a outside firepit. :) We went early October, the colors around the lake were beautiful! It's too bad my friend couldn't find Bigfoot, lol

We had a great stay on Lake Mitchell in May. The cottage was roomy and met our needs perfectly! Parking was tight but overall we enjoyed our time there!

The lakefront and water is nice. it was nice having a large shallow area for our 5 year. It was nice that there was no large drop offs in the water for our 7 and 9 year old to worry about. The indoor area was nice and all the windows could open easily. It was very convenient being so close to miejer, walmart, dunhams, aldi and many places to eat. Very comfortable for a family of 5.

We have a family of 5. We needed a little get away before the school year and this place was just the place! The view! The lake! Everything was great! We will totally be back. We were able to paddle board with ease as the lake was not super deep right in front of the house. Perfect for family with kids that love water! The house was clean and stocked. The neighbors were very nice also. Highly recommend this property.

Very unhappy about the dock not being fixed—to get to the end you had to go into the water as it was broken halfway through. Judging by the rust on the bolts sitting on the end it’s been that way a long time. The email I received saying it was to be fixed the day of our departure seems unlikely as it was raining and supposed to all day. The one tiny ac unit in the kitchen did nothing to cool the house and the windows overlooking the lake had no blinds or curtains. Nice view yes, but it made it hotter inside because you cannot block the sun. It was very clean, but overpriced.

Right when you walk in the living room you see the great view of the lake. It was perfect. My grandchildren loved that we’re able to swim right out front with no worries of drop offs . We definitely will be back again.

We really enjoyed our stay absolutely loved the view looking out on the lake. The water right off the home was perfect for our kids to play and jump off the dock. We felt the home to be very clean and had everything we needed. Can't wait to come back!

Wish we would have brought a boat. Room for a trailer in the overflow parking. Great lake - nice sandy bottom. Very nice view and comfortable lake cabin.

This adorable house is well decorated and nicely laid out. Beautiful big windows to see the lake. We were there in the dead of winter so weren’t outside but it was still a great view! Check in and out was easy! Beds were comfortable. Seating area was perfect and WiFi worked great for us! We’ve stayed here twice and plan to do it again!

Great little place to stay. Had everything we needed. Clean. Not fancy, very simple. View was amazing. If you are needing a large space for large adults this may not be the place. Cozy, quaint, clean and rustic. We used it to relax while our teenagers rode the slopes at Cab and Crystal.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here, very clean cute place, close to all stores and restaurants. Great communication with the owner! We will definitely recommend this to friends and family.

My sister and I stayed at the property for a quick winter getaway and we really enjoyed it. The views are wonderful and the house is clean and exactly as it appears in the listing. We are already talking about coming back again in the summer!

Beautiful house and fantastic view

We were able to nab this popular place for a one-night stay in between other bookings, and it was nice & clean, pretty great overall! We came up to celebrate our daughter's engagement which happened at Caberfae that afternoon. Plusses for this home include the comfort of the beds and soft linens with nice pillows, open main living area and kitchen, and of course the beautiful view of Lake Mitchell! Check in was a breeze, and the house warmed up quickly from a chilly 60 to comfortable 70. With that being said, the primary bedroom was hot overnight (we turned the heat down to 67 and then 65), while the bunk room was frigid with the door closed. Other notes for those considering booking: the bathroom is really small and may be challenging for bigger people to use. It has a small, old, stall shower. The newer, high toilet is a nice feature, though! You can smell the well water, which is an acquired taste for drinking or brushing your teeth. There is no dishwasher, so if you're cooking your own meals you'll also have to spend time washing up, which isn't my favorite when I'm on vacation. The stove is a tiny, old, electric model. We chose to go out for breakfast at the 13th Street Market: it was absolutely awesome, and fairly priced!I could envision staying here in the summer could be really great, and would love to see the beachfront and dock all set up.

Large windows to view the lake, comfortable beds, great sitting room, and the perfect little house for a getaway weekend. Small kitchen and bathroom with all the essentials. The large windows viewing the lake are the highlight of this stay!

The view was incredible! Great sunrise and sunset over the water. The cottage was perfect for our family celebration-cozy, clean and so relaxing! Each one of us said we would love to come back!

The place was very cute. It was only steps to the lake. It was a little chilly when we went so we thought we'd have a fire but when we arrived noticed there was no firepit, which was in one of the pictures. The shower is VERY small and needs updated. Lot's of items to cook with, spices, pans, etc. Overall it was a lovely place and would recommend.

Beautiful house on Lake Mitchell! Even though it was winter, we still had fun watching the ice fishermen out on the lake. The house itself is very cute and clean. Great seating areas, beds were wonderful, and kitchen was great! Hosts were a pleasure to work with and all information needed was either given prior to checking in or listed out in the binder at the house. This place made for a great girls weekend for Galentine's day and we would love to come back for another stay soon!

Nice place that served our need for skiing at Caberfae, about 20 minutes away. Check-in time was strict as we were about 30 minutes early and were turned away, but that's ok as advertised. Overall a good value for a last minute booking.

Absolutely amazing stay! House was clean, had everything we needed in the kitchen, beds were firm and comfy, lake is amazing and super accessible with an nice sandy bottom. Location is perfect, far enough away to feel secluded, yet close eno6to downtown Cadillac, many restaurants and grocery stores within a 10 min or less drive. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing vacation.
