Buena Vista Executive Cottage - Redstone Lake

This was NOT a luxury experience. This was one of the worst rental experiences I have had!!! I booked an 2-night stay, over one month in advance. The host waited until days before check-in, to send a lengthy list of rules, obligations, and potential penalties that were never disclosed on the Expedia listing. We were told to BRING OUR OWN bed sheets, towels, toiletries, take the garbage in our cars to a dump site which was a 20-30 minute drive away, and would be subject to charges if we left clean dishes in the dishwasher. Failure to comply would result in a variety of additional cleaning and penalty charges (i.e. fees per garbage bag left behind). I've stayed in many vacation rentals and have never encountered so many undisclosed rules and fees. Some pros: it was a new-ish built cottage and the marina and paddle boats were adorable. I would never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it at all

We had a large family group for rhe week. We had a wonderful time. The place was fabulous for our group. We kayaked , paddle boarded , canoed used the little boat (we brought a motor) and floated on big floaties on the water. The beach was great . We golfed at the local golf course for 2 rounds. It was awesome. We did yoga on the beautiful dock and star gazed at night. All in all it was a great week.The cottage is well appointed and stocked. The owner was terrific and responsive. The neighbours were lovley.

This cottage was amazing. The beachfront was incredible for the kids to play in and out of the water and plenty of space for the adults to sit and relax. There were tons of games and toys for downtime and lots of space for everyone to not feel on top of each other. Joaquin was great at answering any questions and concerns. The road in really gave you the feeling of being off-grid! And the lake was nice and calm and didn’t feel too busy. Thanks for a great week!

The "cottage" is exceptional. It's well appointed, with a great kitchen and great room, and numerous additional touches - right down to skewers for roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. Joaquin was very attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed to fully enjoy our stay

a perfect cottage for multi generation family events. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with our two children and 4 grandchildren (two who were just one). The most important feature for us was the sand beach and sandy entrance into the lake. The cottage is well laid out - and beautifully maintained. The beach and swimming were great. We all enjoyed our holiday!!
