Loved this resort. It is secluded and quiet. Beautiful Mountain views. Spa treatments were wonderful. Restaurant somewhat pricey but had delicious food and great service. Only shuttle service was to a golf course. Since pretty far out, wanted to rent a car but the hotel charges $25/day to park. Spent a lot on Ubers and lifts. Told by a tour guide who would not come to pick me up for a tour that Adero is not really in Scottsdale but is located in Fountain Hills, AZ.

The property is nice but just a few things that don't line up to a true luxury experience. At the restaurant, I asked for an Espresso, but the machine had apparently broke, I was offered a cup of coffee but I was told it was made in the afternoon and it made be cold. It was cold, (really no one could make a new cuppa coffee for me my dinner was $130!). Secondly hot tub not warm...in 55 degree weather at night, the hot tub should be warm. Nice place but doubt I'll be back. Staff were friendly

The Adero was just what we were looking for. Picturesque setting, boutique feeling hotel, well appointed, beautiful grounds, hiking, pool, great restaurant. We didn’t leave the property except for a hike. The ultimate relaxing getaway. It had pickleball and tennis too though we didn’t play. Spa as well. If you’re looking to get away from it all and relax this property is a great choice!

This resort is actually outside of Scottsdale in Fountain Hills. It's a bit of a drive to Scottsdale, but I enjoyed the less busy location. Beautiful walking paths and hiking trails. The park in Fountain Hills is beautiful. Cute restaurants, etc. The hotel is not large, but had everything we needed. The workout room is one of the best I have ever seen.

AMAZING VIEWS, Bartender Lorenzo (does the Cocktail movie thing spinning bottles, etc.) is so cool, all the staff from front-desk to bellmen to anyone called on phone were TOP NOTCH PROs!! They even shuttle you to FANTASTIC hiking trails down the road, no charge! Views from Bar/Dining Areas, Pools and Hot Tub were SUPERB!! Room was fantastic also!!

The location is great. Unfortunately, this resort is suffering from what I'm seeing more and more - woefully understaffed. I stayed for two nights and never had my room serviced. I called the front desk and still nothing. Finally, I took a couple of towels from a room service cart that was in the hall. The cleanliness was okay. The door to my armoire was missing. It seems to be struggling.

Disappointing Stay – Needs Serious Improvement I stayed here for my birthday and unfortunately had a really disappointing experience. The room I was given was in poor condition from the moment I walked in—there were dead bugs on the floor, dirty towels, and no robe, which was especially frustrating because I’d been looking forward to watching the sunrise on the balcony in comfort. When I mentioned the missing robe to staff, they didn’t offer to bring one for the rest of my stay, which felt dismissive. One window had no blinds at all, and the shower drain backed up every time I used it—water was pooling above my ankles within a couple of minutes. I reported the issue, and while they offered to move me, I was off property for most of the day and leaving the next morning. The hassle of switching rooms so late in the stay just wasn’t worth it. In my opinion, this room should’ve been marked out of order until the blinds and plumbing issues were fixed. It clearly wasn't ready for guests. To their credit, they did comp my dinner from the night before and waived the resort fees for two nights, which I appreciated. But overall, the stay didn’t feel like the relaxing birthday getaway I’d hoped for. A few other notes: Poolside service is extremely slow. The food menu is limited. The resort is fairly far out from central Scottsdale. I wish I had rented a car—Uber rides were $30–$50 each way to most places. Sadly, I wouldn’t stay here again unless major improvements are made.

Our patio was littered with cigar butts and water bottles. It was pretty disappointing. Staff at the bar first night weren’t super friendly. Didn’t seem to know what was going on and we practically had to beg the waiter at the pool to take our order. Just disappointing for the price.

The property has recently been renovated and looks beautiful. Unfortunately there was so much dampness and mildrew in the two rooms I tried that I had to leave. IT is unsafe for those with mold and water damage intolerances.

i was next to the elevator and outside it's next to the kitchen exit where employees go to smoke. so maybe not the best room unless you love the view of a parking lot. guess the hotels.com VIP thing wasn't recognized or ignored. room is fine, lighting is not great, side table had plugs on the wrong side. shower floor was sticky like your friends house that never scubs it and it's tacky to stand on. not the anti slip tile just dirty. highlight was the sparkling water station. also be aware it's very far from main areas of scottsdale.

The Adero is a nice hotel/resort, away from any congestion and noise. Amazing views of the valley and surrounding small hills/mountains. Our room, one with a fireplace, had a nice soaking tub, balcony, large comfy king size bed, and was nice and clean. The staff, overall, were very pleasant. A special shoutout to the Valet staff and the bartenders (at the Cielo bar). Always warm, with a pleasant greeting, and gave great suggestions for food and sightseeing. There is an awesome gym on sight....way beyond the typical hotel that usually has just a few treadmills. Tons of cardio and weight training equipment, a whole studio for pilates/yoga/stretching, and a Peloton studio. A few small criticisms - checking in, it felt a little rushed, even though there was no line and we were the only ones checking in at that time. Nobody asked if we were there on vacation or for a special occasion (the answer would have been both - vacation and our 16th anniversary). There is a grab and go coffee bar on site, and Cielos, for food options, but they can be very pricy, and your only other option is driving down the hill. We often found ourselves driving a good 20 minutes to find a restaurant for breakfast/brunch - i.e. First Watch. You do have a mini fridge in your room, but ours never got very cold, so we just used it for bottled water. Nice resort, very beautiful and peaceful. The pool area outside was awesome. Just limited on food options and missing something from making it superb

The hotel and surrounding grounds were beautiful. My room was upgraded to a wonderful room with a breathtaking view. The staff was amazing. Kevin at the front desk went above and beyond. The Spa was a deeply relaxing experience. Shannon and Daphne were great! Overall this stay was excellent.

Non stop views. Design and detail. Room had tall ceilings, space and the bathroom was one of my favorites. Dining was five star and the gym had everything I needed. The grounds were gorgeous and could not stop taking pictures. The staff was top notch and upon entrance the calming fountain was a nice greeting and when the doors opened the view was mesmerizing.

Great boutique hotel. Staff was very helpful. Service at bar and restaurant was slow. Rooms were cleaned and nice.. a few things that could be resolved include every time the AC kicks in it makes the bathroom barn door noise which can impact sleep at night. Also for room service, there was no table in the room to sit and eat. Overall a great stay

Ac was extremely noisey. It was so bad i had to move rooms in the middle if the night. The second room also had the issue although bit as bad. The maintenance guy said it was a known issue related to a hatch in every room and failure to change the filters. They did credit me back the resort fee but an entire night of no sleep in both rooms destroyed my trip. In addition the food was horrible so salty, and not really edible. Two separate meals

The hotel is really nice and close to hiking trails which is why we chose it. I have never had such poor service at a hotel my entire stay. From the bar to the pool. I don’t know if they are short staffed or just don’t care but it was awful. Many people went without service. We left the hotel several times to eat and drink because it was so poor.

We had a wonderful stay at Adero! From check-in to check-out, everything ran smoothly. The highlight of our trip was lounging by the beautiful pool and soaking in the breathtaking views — it was incredibly peaceful and relaxing. That said, the poolside service could use improvement. We often waited 30 minutes to an hour just to place a drink order, and once placed, it typically took another 30–45 minutes to arrive. On two separate occasions, we were completely overlooked and ended up walking to the bar asking for service ourselves to get served. I had booked through Expedia and paid extra for a “Mountain View” room, but unfortunately, our view was mostly of the parking lot, with only a faint glimpse of the mountains in the distance — definitely not what I expected for the upgrade. I highly recommend choosing a room on the resort view side overlooking the pool; it’s absolutely stunning and truly feels like the kind of view the upgrade should cover. My reservation also included a 20% discount at the on-site restaurant, CIELO, along with complimentary valet parking. However, when I reviewed my receipt at checkout, none of those perks had been applied. I’m not sure if the issue was on Expedia’s end or the resort’s, but the front desk staff handled it right away — they adjusted the charges without any hassle and refunded the extra bundle fees I had paid for. Despite those hiccups, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the entire resort — including our room — was spotless and

Couldn’t get served breakfast on 10/14 - blonde waitress was not kind. The experience was so weird….I ended up leaving without breakfast. If someone is sitting at a table in your restaurant - it is pretty likely they want to be served. Guess it wouldn’t hurt to say hi and ask. Especially when you are serving others who had also sat down at tables prior to opening after watching the sunrise. Everyone should have been acknowledged.…but she only greeted and served 2 of the 3 tables that were already seated. And I waited for an hour. I was giving her the benefit of the doubt because it was opening time and she was all by herself at first. No apologies….she just started making excuses for why she wouldn’t serve me but unfortunately her reasoning didn’t line up. Left a bad taste in my mouth after what was otherwise an amazing stay.

The property is beautiful. However the service was horrible. From beginning to end we had issues with the hotel overbooking and waiting over an hour for food and bartenders who were rude. The only staff that stood out were the valet gentleman. For the cost of the hotel it should be 5 star service and this was certainly not the case.

Great property not super far from Scottsdale. The room was clean and spacious. Service was very good and we enjoyed the pool cabana. The adult pool could use its own bar. If you are at the adult pool you will need to go to the family pool for drinks which is not far but still. We had breakfast and service was good but pancakes tasted frozen and breakfast and two spiked coffees added up to $70. Be prepared for the pricey items on the menu at Cielo restaurant on site. They had toothbrushes and razors that came in cute bags with toothpaste and shave cream. I also appreciated the timely housekeeping which was completed daily and ready every time we returned. Alot of resorts are not doing this. Views from our room facing the fountain side of fountain hills were beautiful. Definitely would return

While the property itself and the views were spectacular the food left much to be desired the property restaurant is high priced and entrees left a lot to be desired - Companion sent back the Half Chicken - the gnochi was hard and chicken dry - although we were given credit was not a pleasant experience

Hotel is really nice, enjoyed the gym and pool area. I read the other reviews about the food and thought how bad can it be? The restaurant view was amazing so, I gave it a try but I should have listened to the other reviews, it was beyond bad. We ordered roasted chicken with gnocchi, it tasted like frozen food gnocchi was like chewing gum, risotto was crunchy but the bread was good. Also ordered fries by the pool thinking you can’t screw up fries but they were pretty bad…. Cold. I would definitely come back cause the hotel was really nice but just avoid the food. The lady that checked us in wasn’t very friendly but the other staff was great.

The hotel was clean and chic! I liked the linens and the beds at Adero. They were comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed each meal at Cielo from breakfast, lunch and dinner. I also loved the staff at the SPA! They were welcoming and knowledgeable. The aestheticians who gave my daughters their facials were wonderful! I was not impressed with the lack of staff by the pool and the pool cafe. We could not get ice, food or drinks other than the Cielo bar and restaurant and we felt awkward ordering in pool attire. We wished there was a cooler or shade down by the pickleball courts as well. I enjoyed my time at Adero and would stay again. Thank you.

Service was amazing!!! We would definitely stay here again! Our only critique is the food options. The restaurant was very expensive. We found ourselves eating outside of the hotel more because of the cost and food selections
