Room dreadful with view of roof, no housekeeping coffee and tea making facilities not replenished. Staff were fantastic, Breakfast was brilliant, Bar is jaded looking. Handles on men’s toilet door need to be replaced as the cannot be cleaned properly as they are coroded. Would not stay there again it’s very remote and the roads are dangerous.

The Woodenbridge is an iconic inn located in the hills of Avoca, outside of Arklow. It is the oldest hotel in Ireland, and is a popular spot to stay, or spend the afternoon. The rooms are comfortable with modern conveniences. They have a hearty breakfast buffet, and the bar was a great place to get an afternoon drink to enjoy on their sunny patio. Their staff are very friendly and helpful.
