The Quiet Bay Inn is actually very quiet and calm. The lake at the backyard is awesome. Also the property is very clean and tidy. Kidos to the cleaners who have kept it spotless. Even the microwave ovens, coffee mugs were squeaky clean. I like the way the rooms are designed: Car park at the front and lawn at the back and the lake at a distance. Also they did a good job by providing the menu of the nearest restaurants. We went to Tanner's on Saturday & Sunday (Oct 12 & 13 2024) evening for dinner and it was a great experience.

Their ad shows a pool, hot tub and pool table. The hot tub broke 2 years ago, the pool didnt open until the evening and didnt see a game room. Although they let us check in early which was nice. However it was very hot and a dip in the pool would have been nice too. The cafe was closed we went to dinner at Tanners...great food! Pool was open when we got back from dinner. Room was large and clean however very damp, sleeping was difficult due to dampness. Pillows were horrible! Large bathroom and good pressure in shower, bathroom does not have hair dryer. Grass was cut but nothing had been trimmed. The grass along the walkway outside our door was over a foot tall.

Everything was awesome , loved the room it was big, clean and comfortable. The only complaint was the hot tub didn’t work, the owner was there when we arrived and i expressed my disappointment and she apologized and said she would get that information changed. She was also very kind and got me ice when everything was closed, I would stay here again.

Walk to their backyard lake and dock. A few minutes drive to the Swiss house restaurant, yummy schnitzel. Only 25 minute drive to the fantastic screaming heads. Very clean, squeaky beds.

The property and buildings are well-maintained and very clean, including the swimming pool. I had a noisy family in the room next to mine the second night but that can happen anywhere. An ice machine in the Office or an ice cube tray for the room would have been beneficial rather than having to drive up the road to a convenience store for ice. Overall, I would recommend this location.

Very quiet and clean. Lots of parking. Room was large with fridge and microwave. Bed was very comfortable. Rooms face parking lot with back door facing lake and pool. Good restaurants nearby especially loved Swiss Country restaurant. Very reasonable room rate. Would definitely stay again.

The check in/out process was very easy and straight forward. The motel was very quiet, which we really enjoyed. The room was clean, although the ceiling fan and bathroom fan need to be cleaned. The mattresses and pillows were very old and uncomfortable. The sheets were also old and in need of replacing (they were very thin, pilling, and had holes). The hot tub was broken. The restaurant on the property was okay, good coffee though. Unlikely to change, given that the property is now for sale. Overall it was a very basic accomodation.

Very basic lodgings, no safety bar in bathtub area, no real attention to any detail cleaning, walls, ceiling fans, all windows were dirty, mirrors streaky, cupboards dirty inside and outside, lots tiny bugs stuck in dusty, webby covered walls greasy backsplash area, duct tape on kitchen tap, broken blind on entry door, lame pillows, friendly staff, no bed bugs, great hot water, good shower pressure, room smelt nice, carpet and floors were washed clean..

I was here three nights as I was working in the area. The room was comfortable and spacious. The area is so quiet and relaxing. Be sure to read the various little signs posted around the room, because the owners have me and care to help make your stay comfortable and convenient. I particularly appreciated the organics container and recycling sorting bins in my room! I’m returning in a few weeks to wrap up my business in Magnetawan, and am about to book my stay here again.

Small quiet strip motel. The cafe is closed and up for sale so we had just a couple of options for food in the small town a few miles away. There was no staff on site that we saw. The TV is so small and takes two remotes to operate. There are two things that are not clear in the ad for this property. The pictures for the motel show a lake but it is not visible from the motel in the front or back that I could see. Also there is a ceiling fan but no air conditioning. I do commend the owners for their efforts to recycle and separate trash.

Next time I would bring my own pillows & additional fan. Luckily it was moderate temperature & cool at night. No a/c would be a problem in hot weather. Overall it was good for the price

The property was clean and on a beautiful piece of land. The rooms were spacious but they definitely need to invest in new mattresses or a foam topper to not feel springs, the ones in number 7 were terrible. If you are looking for a clean cheap place this is it and the property is beautiful to walk.

Great little gem of a motel far enough off the highway you don't hear much traffic. Lovely rooms with front and back doors! Cafe on site served fantastic breakfasts and lunches. Amazing, friendly staff with great suggestions for local activities,

Owners charged us an extra $20 for our kids, made no difference to the accommodations. Plus it was a pet friendly room and then charged another $20 for the dog. Terrible customer service and not friendly.

The check in/out process was very easy and straight forward. The motel was very quiet, which we really enjoyed. The room was clean, although the ceiling fan and bathroom fan need to be cleaned. The mattresses and pillows were very old and uncomfortable. The sheets were also old and in need of replacing (they were very thin, pilling, and had holes). The hot tub was broken. The restaurant on the property was okay, good coffee though. Unlikely to change, given that the property is now for sale. Overall it was a very basic accomodation.

i had a 2 night stay at quiet bay inn and cafe. i never got hooked up to wifi to either my phone nor laptop. i was fine with that on monday july 17, 2023 as i had moved on in my travels. also i had no room key. i had to keep the door unlocked for the entire time i stayed there; from 8.00pm on saturday july 15, 2023 to about noon on monday july 17, 2023. after checking out i had breakfast in the quiet bay cafe. the food and service in the cafe was excellent but room service needed improvements as described above.

Love this local gem in the Magnetawan area. They were responsive and accommodating to our late arrival. The room was clean and had everything we needed. It was topped off by a hearty, delicious breakfast at the cafe the next morning.

A refreshingly, clean, roadside motel. It was comfortable, cozy and set back from the road with a great patio overlooking the lake. Fantastic communication with the host.

Walk to their backyard lake and dock. A few minutes drive to the Swiss house restaurant, yummy schnitzel. Only 25 minute drive to the fantastic screaming heads. Very clean, squeaky beds.

Very quiet and clean. Lots of parking. Room was large with fridge and microwave. Bed was very comfortable. Rooms face parking lot with back door facing lake and pool. Good restaurants nearby especially loved Swiss Country restaurant. Very reasonable room rate. Would definitely stay again.

The Quiet Bay Inn is actually very quiet and calm. The lake at the backyard is awesome. Also the property is very clean and tidy. Kidos to the cleaners who have kept it spotless. Even the microwave ovens, coffee mugs were squeaky clean. I like the way the rooms are designed: Car park at the front and lawn at the back and the lake at a distance. Also they did a good job by providing the menu of the nearest restaurants. We went to Tanner's on Saturday & Sunday (Oct 12 & 13 2024) evening for dinner and it was a great experience.

Small quiet strip motel. The cafe is closed and up for sale so we had just a couple of options for food in the small town a few miles away. There was no staff on site that we saw. The TV is so small and takes two remotes to operate. There are two things that are not clear in the ad for this property. The pictures for the motel show a lake but it is not visible from the motel in the front or back that I could see. Also there is a ceiling fan but no air conditioning. I do commend the owners for their efforts to recycle and separate trash.

The Quiet Bay Inn is a beautiful tranquil cabin where you can experience the local wildlife from the comfort of your cabin. Beautiful view of the lake and all of the essential amenities are available. Breakfast at the quite bay restaurant was AMAZING and the pricing was very reasonably. Would highly recommend!!!

Their ad shows a pool, hot tub and pool table. The hot tub broke 2 years ago, the pool didnt open until the evening and didnt see a game room. Although they let us check in early which was nice. However it was very hot and a dip in the pool would have been nice too. The cafe was closed we went to dinner at Tanners...great food! Pool was open when we got back from dinner. Room was large and clean however very damp, sleeping was difficult due to dampness. Pillows were horrible! Large bathroom and good pressure in shower, bathroom does not have hair dryer. Grass was cut but nothing had been trimmed. The grass along the walkway outside our door was over a foot tall.

Our stay was very good. The name Quiet Bay says it all, we never heard any outside noise, the beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. Very handy to have the cafe right there as well. We will definitely stay there again.

We stayed here 2 weeks ago and then again this weekend. Their check-in procedure is efficient The beds are amazing with all new linens. The improvements are coming along. We liked the extended privacy fences so we can sit quietly outside to see the views of the lake and trees. The path to the water is maintained.We had a very peaceful weekend. Thank you

Love the area and this clean little spot is a wonderful hideaway. Been visiting for years. It's recently under new management and they're doing a great job of bringing in some modest and appreciated improvements. Still a little rough around the edges with a lack of simple amenities but they're getting there. Priced a little high for what you get, but there are no other options in the immediate area.
