Stunning neighborhood and excellent location to enjoy the activities we wanted to do. Close proximity to Boone, Blowing Rock and Linville. Banner Elk offered some delicious restaurants, farmers market, grocery and great souvenir shop. The basement playroom (darts, pool, foosball, air hockey) came in handy since we had thunderstorms every afternoon during our stay. It allowed us to return to the rental and play games while we waited for the storms to pass. The jacuzzi, hammocks, cornhole and fire pit looked great, but the rain prohibited us from enjoying those. The home was super clean when we arrived. I do wish the upstairs patio furniture was in a little better condition. The broken weaving and missing slats on some of the porch chairs prohibited them from being usable. The spacious kitchen was adequately stocked. The gorgeous scenery and peaceful serenity won us over as soon as we arrived!

Great place to stay! We were only there for the weekend of graduation but it was clean and comfortable. The location was great- about 30 minutes from Appalachian State university and there were several easy options for meals and catering nearby. The game room was a huge bonus- we had so much fun and lots of quality time together.

We loved everything about Villa Costalotta. The vrbo was accurately pictured and amenities were on point. i could see us staying there again if we are ever in the area. Family of 10 was very comfortable.

The house itself was beautiful and everything we were expecting based on the listing. Unfortunately, many of the doors in the house did not lock properly and we needed to use cords/dog leashes to secure them. The dishwasher wheels on the racks were rotted. As we attempted to put a few glasses on the top rack it collapsed and shattered many plates and glasses. When we went to use the vacuum it didn’t work until we personally tried to fix it and unclog it. After reaching out to Carolina Cabin Rentals, they sent a maintenance man who delivered a brand new vacuum. He confirmed that the door locks were broken and the dishwasher needed to be replaced. Neither of these were fixed throughout the week while we were there. For the amount of money that we payed we didn’t feel as though we were given the treatment we deserved when we were expressing our concerns for safety.
