Great place to stay when staying in Chicago. Clean rooms and helpful staff. The check-in process can be a bit frustrating but overall I'd stay here again.

This is a perfectly nice and cute hotel in a good location near the stadium. Apparently it is one of three locations across the city, and they all share CENTRALIZED guest services staff. Said another way, there is no staff onsite to help you with anything, including opening the front door. You have to complete check in online, including a photo of your ID and a selfie for identity verification, before you can get a key... to be clear, that is a key to the building AND your room. If you like me haven't done this yet, you have to call the number on a piece of paper taped to the window and they will text you things to do while you and your bags stand on the sidewalk as long as is required to get through checkin. Luckily Im tech savvy, but if this had been my parents for instance, who are in their sixties and relatively savvy themselves, there would be no hope. Once you're in, the hotel is cute and fine. Then again, lack of staff was a huge inconvenience as I needed to stow my bags for the day before an evening flight, but no staff to do that. I had to uber to a hotel near where I was going and use their bell desk. So unnecessary. Note to The Chicago Hotel: this model doesn't work, and I wouldn't recommend anyone do this to themselves when there's plenty of other places to stay.
