For not all-inclusive hotel the prices in the restaurants on the property are expensive. When the hotel is at full capacity, you won't be able to find a spot by a pool, which for someone will be inconvenient, and there's no beach access either. Also, sometimes there's a line to be seated for breakfast or some waiting time for your dinner to be accommodated. So, patience should be your friend. Gym is not big, but it'll be enough for basic workout. This is not a negative review by any means. I'm simply posting my experience here, which is based on multiple comparisons. Other than that, you might enjoy your stay here. Thank you!

Excellent property, perhaps the best in Tahiti. Far better than even IHG. Food was excellent. Facilities, furnishings all brand new, modern and stylish. Room was modern, cozy and very stylish. Staff was very pleasant. Did I say how excellent the food is? Great views of the S Pacific. Highly recommend. Only negatives… waiting for towel person to appear every time, not enough chaise lounges around the pool deck, some bar staff acknowledged but had to be reminded/re-requested for a beer or water. Gym and spa very nice also.

The check in was easy and great. The rim nice. The swim up bartender was awful. Understaffed at the pool, pool bar and no pool towels available. Only stayed 1 night in king, ocean view before ending our 3 week vacation in the islands. For $600 for the night is expect towels and drinks at the pool.

Really enjoyed out visit, several places to eat. Nice pool. beautiful view, did wish there was a beach. Really liked being able to walk to the shopping center across the bridge. That was a plus

Pool was beautiful, as well as the property. Rooms were clean. Front desk service was slow, but that seems to be the Polynesian way. Had to order drinks or food for the pool at the desk pool. Dirty dishes or drink glasses not picked up around the pool - even after people left. Bar closed early at 10 pm

A great property, but the pool is not clean (as others reported). There is a great slime in the water. Also, they wouldn't give us early check-in, as our flight arrived at 4am.

The Hilton isn’t a massive hotel in rooms, guests or grounds. The pool consumes most of the grounds. They offer several restaurants and all of them were good. Snorkeling tours pick you up at the boat dock on property. It is close to the airport but noise isn’t a big issue. The hotel needs to offer more events. They offer no traditional Tahitian dinner show or other entertainment options. If you want a quiet, comfortable hotel to relax & forget about life for a while, this is the place. Good internet access but plan for a VPN if you plan to watch Netflix, YoutubeTV or other streaming services limited to the US. *** No beach access *** we rented a car for a day & visited some black sand beaches. We also went to the local museum & tried some local restaurants. Really enjoyed our stay. If your flight leaves at night, consider using the lounge - at an extra fee - between checkout and flight departure.

We stayed here in an ocean view room a total of four days, pre and post cruise. Perfect choice. Gorgeous pool, swim-up bar, excellent breakfast buffet, convenient, high quality on-site restaurants and a short taxi ride to both the airport and in-town. Wouldn't change a thing!

Pool was great. Staff very accommodating. Water available in many places. Suntan lotion and aloe on tap at the pool. Better yet, the hotel is connected to a shopping mall by a elevated walkway. That works great for a lengthy stay. Grocery store, food court and several shops there. Much more convenient than the intercontinental hotel.

We had 2 rooms and unfortunately the cleaning persons did the bare minimum. The floors were not swept, sinks were barely wiped, they left the dirty spoons in the coffee area. One day they completely failed to clean one of the rooms.

Beautiful hotel! We upgraded to a suite, so comfortable and chic. Unfortunately, the remote control in the primary room didn't work and the shower had black mold on the wall. Kind of strange for such an expensive suite.

Room was spotless and kept very clean & tidy throughout our stay. Loved our balcony overlooking the gardens & harbour. Staff were very friendly & helpful. We ate breakfast on our day of arrival, it was a specialty Sunday breakfast which cost approximately $90 USD per person. The quality was mediocre. In the survey, we were asked if we enjoyed our free breakfast. We have no knowledge of a free breakfast being available to us so we cannot comment on that.

Schönes Hotel mit toller Poolanlage. Leider hatte unser Zimmer einige Makel mit Blick auf die Sauberkeit. Nach einem Gespräch mit der Rezeption wurde dem sofort Abhilfe geschaffen. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Preis-Leistung passt insgesamt leider dennoch nicht.

There were a large number of people checking in after getting off a cruise and the staff worked very hard to process guests as quickly as possible. The room they had originally given to us was too far away from the central lobby for my husband who has mobility issues and they were very happy to accommodate changing the room for us. The room was clean and very comfortable and appointed with typical hotel room amenities - nothing special. We found the only place to go that had air conditioning was our room - no public areas, bars or restaurants. The pool, while absolutely beautiful, was far too warm and not at all refreshing after a long hot day. There was no access to ocean for swimming despite being oceanfront property. The pool loungers were dirty and need to be refreshed. The same with the bar and restaurant chairs. Perhaps because they were off white material, the stains and dirt were more obvious. We found the service at the bar and restaurants very friendly, but clearly on island time as we often had to wait an inordinate amount of time for service. We also found the prices to be quite expensive for only mediocre meals and drinks. Overall, I’m not sure we would choose to stay here again.

À 300euros la nuit, on peut espérer quelques attentions comme celles-ci (qui font toujours plaisir). Pour moins que ça, nous avons été mieux logés ailleurs sur l'île...

Parking was easy! The crossover sidewalk to the mall a blessing in disguise. Checked in late because of flt delay. Walked in to dinner at 9 and hostess was trying to get us to eat elsewhere. Supreme ocean view room had a large tree in front of balcony with only a partial view of the ocean.

Its a basic hotel with no frills, no giveaways like we’ve received at other hotels; service checking in and in restaurants is slow; music played by the pool could be changed to something more pleasing to all ages, perhaps Polynesian tunes or softer melodies;

Ayant réservé 2 nuits à la suite mais sur 2 sites internet différents, et malgré des échanges avec le service de réservation, lors du Check in le personnel n’était pas au courant. Ce qui fait qu’à 7h45 on toquait à notre porte pour le Check out de la 1ère nuit. Les chambres sont mal isolées, bruits de voiture et personnes qui parlent dans le couloir. Réveil en pleine nuit de la chambre d’à côté.

Great staff, very large swimming pool to do laps, restaruant foof was the best and the servers were excellent. Prices are hign and the bathroom tub shower is a danger, too high and almost 12 inches across to straddle entrance. Hilton should take out the tub and put in a walk in shower.

The room was very nice and the towels, shower, bedding and furniture were of a high standard. We stayed there 2 times on the trip. Our first room was one of the few without any balcony. One the 2nd stay we upgraded to a large balcony which was very nice. The only issue we had was the air conditioning barely worked, the first room was fine. Our friends who had a room a few doors away had a similar problem.

The staff here were amazing. The porters were especially helpful as we arrived very early and they helped us be comfortable as we waited for our room to be available. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in Papeete.

What stood out the most is the staff during breakfast and lunch. They were extremely attentive. My husband and I felt so comfortable and taken care of the entire time. I really recommend staying at this hotel.

Traveling a 30 day French Polynesia itinerary, a 4 night stay at Hilton Tahiti was the WORST experience. The first alert being check in, check in lines and noticing no rush or hurry of staff. The entire experience with Staff was unbelievable, almost as if there is no enforcement or almost a protection over the Staff with no regard to attitudes and even the way they spoke to Guest. I witnessed on several occasions Guest confronting Staff about Service, lack there of, and Staff would yell and argue with Guest. There’s no way this was as occurring as it was and there is retribution for their actions, this they know. It seems you are inconveniencing them to be there, and any request was out of realm to accommodate. You have a need, you’re inconveniencing them. This cannot go on, without the Management just absolutely allowing it, almost as a standard. In our 30 days, from Tahiti, Bora Bora, Brando, Moorea - this was the WORST experience, and completely separate from every other place we encountered in FP, from high to low. The Polynesian people in general, everywhere are overly accommodating, except here! Separate to Staff, I’d note this hotel has ZERO Polynesian/Tahitian flair, just as any Hilton “Hotel” with a pool anywhere in the world. We also stayed Intercontinental Tahiti, this has an immediate Tahitian/Polynesian feel and welcome. Past stays at Le Pearl Tahiti as well. Don’t miss out on the cultural experience of these two for a stay-over hotel, such as the Hilton Tahiti.

Mostly typical quality Hilton tropical property, except the wait staff around the pool areas and pool bar were difficult and not helpful. Three bartenders would look at me but none would help me for 5-10 minutes and I was the ONLY customer! This happened multiple times and everyone was complaining about this. It could take 15-20 minutes to get a drink with 3 customers and 4 staff behind bar. They were not interested in helping the customers. Dinners at the restaurant were not much better. Otherwise the property and was great.

They were understaffed at check in. We checked in twice and both times the lines and the wait were ridiculous. They know when the cruise ships are arriving and should be prepared for it. It took almost an hour to get our luggage and when we inquired about it, we were told they only had 2 porters. They had a rule at the pool that you could only have 2 towels no matter what. You had to sign for them so they knew who had them. I’ve stayed at nicer hotels than this and have never run into this.

We got our room keys and they didn't work. Walked back to desk, got second key, they didn't work. Walked back to desk, employee came with us, key didn't work. Front desk staff terrific ! Bellman was Great ! Bar staff in hotel lobby was VERY SLOW. Took one girl 25 minutes to make 2 cappuccinos and then she noticed I was sitting there waiting to order an orange juice. Also Tetiavai, an employee at bar/lobby was Extremely rude to customers.

We arrived at 4:00 am after an overnight flight. We were not willing to pay the $375 they wanted to check in early. They told us we were not welcome to wait on the property. They could not tell us of anything that was open, where we could go to get something to eat. I guess you are just supposed to wonder the streets, in the dark in a city we had never been to before. The night staff was very unhelpful.

Great views from our balcony and the pool and grounds were beautiful! It was a quick taxi ride (or longer walk) into town, and there is a shopping center conveniently located across the street. We also really enjoyed the live music in the evenings.

Hotel is a little dated. Very close to airport but if you have no car, to walk to downtown is about 1.5miles. Pool ran out of towels every day we were there during our 7 day stay. No many channels in english on tv.

Very good location in Papeete, close to airport. Carrefour across the street was great for shopping and some dining. Hotel was very accessible by car. Driving in Papeete is a bit hectic, which is beyond the control of the hotel. Dining at the hotel was very good, but overpriced. Pool was nice. They had live music most evenings which was very good quality. Staff was great. I did my best with my rusty French. Most everybody spoke English well enough so communication was very good. TV could stand one or two more channels and English language movies. I would definitely use this hotel again.

Hilton Honors Members - your benefits are not offered when booking through third-party apps. I booked through this site and bought Ocean View looked at a balcony wall if sitting down, no upgrade for Honors Gold. It was only a nights but I wasn't aware. For the hotel it is the best hotel close to the airport. The restaurant is over the water and the food was good. Room comfortable its a 3 star hotel.

The Hilton Hotel Tahiti was truly magical. The property itself is like a piece of art, it must have been recently renovated. At every turn there is handmade wood artwork, from the tables, to the walls, it’s a true Polynesian feel. The location is great, near the airport, and easy parking if you rent a car. Every staff member we came across was very friendly and made us feel at home. The pool is large and gorgeous, with great food and drink options available. We used the gym a few times as well which was pretty good for a hotel gym. We stayed 6 nights in a grand balcony room, which was very spacious and it was nice having a large private deck with a view. The restaurants are amazing. The food and drinks are not cheap, but it’s a fine dining experience. We didn’t try the breakfast buffet as it was expensive, instead we opted for the breakfast sandwiches in the lobby bar which was great. The cocktails in the lobby bar were very good. I have an allergy to all nuts, and they took it very seriously which was nice. Highly recommend this hotel, if we ever make it back to Tahiti we will stay here again.

We were delayed a day by airlines. No reimbursement but we did not expect one. They upgraded us. Thank you! Upon check out you can store bags for free but on return, if you have hours to kill between flights, the concierge told me it would cost $160 pp to sit in the lobby! Ridiculous! There’s a little cafe across the bridge for morning coffee.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days for the first part of our honeymoon before heading to Bora Bora, and it was perfect! The property is located close to the airport, ferry terminal and shopping district, and right on the water. I loved enjoying breakfast or supper sitting looking out over the ocean and watching all the fish swimming right below us. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had an amazing view looking over the ocean. The food was great, especially at the sushi restaurant! There was also regular entertainment and beautiful live music in the morning, which was so nice to listen to while sipping my cappuccino and planning our events for the day. Parking was free and easy to get to the hotel, and there was a shopping mall and grocery store a very short walking distance. Highly recommend this property.

Excellent property, perhaps the best in Tahiti. Far better than even IHG. Food was excellent. Facilities, furnishings all brand new, modern and stylish. Room was modern, cozy and very stylish. Staff was very pleasant. Did I say how excellent the food is? Great views of the S Pacific. Highly recommend. Only negatives… waiting for towel person to appear every time, not enough chaise lounges around the pool deck, some bar staff acknowledged but had to be reminded/re-requested for a beer or water. Gym and spa very nice also.

We LOVED the property. But the food is VERY expensive, $110 USD for breakfast for two. The drinks are also WAY overpriced, as are all three restaurants ($160-200 USD for dinner for two with a single drink for myself, my wife had water)

Wonderful hotel. Great dining options, particularly the sushi. The morning breakfast buffet is one of the best I ever encountered. The only negative is the bar service is incredibly slow. 30 minutes to get a beer at the pool bar is a lot. I think the management needs to better staff that.

Food in all restaurants was horrible and very expensive. Especially at La Strada, San and other restaurants at the Hilton in Tahiti was expensive and bad. Unless food is improved and prices are kept reasonable, we will never go to Tahiti and stay at the Hilton even if as a member of the Hilton Honors.

Pool was beautiful, as well as the property. Rooms were clean. Front desk service was slow, but that seems to be the Polynesian way. Had to order drinks or food for the pool at the desk pool. Dirty dishes or drink glasses not picked up around the pool - even after people left. Bar closed early at 10 pm

Clean and new, the Asian restaurant was amazing probably the best food I’ve had this trip and we just finished staying at the Ritz Carlton in Bora Bora! Room and lobby clean and new, rooms are great!

I loved the pool and the beautiful views. The staff was kind and helpful. The restaurant food at dinner was a weak area, though breakfast was good and I had a nice lunch as well. Our room on the fourth floor was lovely and very comfortable.

This is a wonderful resort property and highly recommend. Superior staff and accommodations. Only complaint—-the elevator broke and we were stuck inside for about 15 minutes. Other than that, we had a marvelous stay.
