Really enjoyed the privacy as well as the balcony/courtyard view that our room offered. Having a mini fridge and sink and kitchenware also made it convenient to store and prepare some simple dishes to dine in when we were tired of dining out all the time. Property had laundry facilities too, which were much appreciated. It was close to the train station, and was within walking distance to tram and subway stops.

It is near the train/bus station. The staff is nice. They let me check in early in the morning for a 30-euro fee. Laundry is on the premises for free. The gym has all the necessary equipment. BackWerk bakery is 5-minute walk away and opens at 6 am if you need to grab coffee or breakfast early in the morning.

This is a wonderful modern and clean hotel that packs a lot of comfort into their room. Check-in was friendly and efficient, and they had amenities that we really appreciated like a complimentary laundry room and gym. The rooms had cute little terraces that were perfect for enjoying our morning coffee that we made in our well equipped kitchenette. It is conveniently located to the train station, and a bit of a walk to the tourist attractions but we really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book another stay here.

Great hotel and AMAZING Rooftop Deck Room! Also Dejan was GREAT! He helped us so much with laundry, service, and when my wife became ill our last night, he helped and got us sparkling water for her stomach. The Rooftop Terrace rooms are killer!!! Room 602 was AWESOME!!! GREAT location for October Fest or any event at the October Fest grounds, the Theresienwiese. Also great grocery stores 8 minute walk, and the subway is 1/2 block away! The restaurant had zero gluten free options, and is owned by a 3rd party. Overpriced drinks at the bar, but good service.

It was very well equipped, and the staff was helpful and friendly. We appreciated the kitchen and the space, and we liked having laundry facilities in the building, although the washing machines did not work terribly well and the drying feature didn't work at all. Overall we would stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Schwan Locke. Rooms were very comfortable, with extra seating room. Includes all the amenities needed for a week stay. It was especially great to have access to laundry facilities. Note, it would be good if there was instructions in the room showing how to operate the microwave.

Väldigt fint hotell med trevlig personal. Wifi och chromecast funkar utmärkt under hela vistelsen. Ligger i ett ganska tråkigt område dock och vägen från München Hbf är inte så trevlig. Men gatan som hotellet ligger på är lugn och har man rummet mot innergården störs man inget av ljud från gatorna. En kyrkklocka ringer ofta men har man fönster och balkongdörr stängt så isolerar det bra. Jättebra gym!

Mein Zimmer war gut ausgestattet, aber der Boden war sehr schmutzig. Obwohl ich das Problem gemeldet habe, hat das Personal an der Rezeption nichts unternommen – leider blieb es so. Wasser kostet an der Bar 7 Euro – ist das für einen Kunden akzeptabel? Ich denke nicht. Außerdem sprechen die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption kaum Deutsch.

The hotel and our room were very clean. The room has good kitchen appliances and utensils. The hotel is located just a 10 minute walk from the train station and just 15 minutes from old town. We stayed for 12 nights and we would definitely stay again.

I have stayed in Locke hotels before, and I appreciate being able to make myself at home. After so much traveling and eating out, it's nice to be able to cook and make tea for oneself. My room was well appointed, but it wasn't perfectly clean. The bedding and towels were clean, but there was a lot of dust under the bed and I found a candy wrapper stuffed behind the couch and another one under the TV. I had hoped to be able to use the laundry facility, but I think they need to change the rules. Each time I went down, there was nobody in the laundry room and yet every machine was running and there were piles of wet clothes. I don't know if these are clothes other people took out of the wash to put their own in--but whatever was happening I was unable to use the laundry during my entire stay. The neighborhood was also a bit random. I could easily walk to the metro station and grocery store, which was convenient, but it wasn't the type of neighborhood where I wanted to walk alone at night. There were always a bunch of men lining up outside all the shops smoking and drinking. Most of Munich's most famous sites are a 20 minute walk away. I recommend this hotel if you want the convenience of the kitchen and are willing to sacrifice not being in the perfect location.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was great! Room and bathroom were spotless, kitchenette area was small and cute, enough for us to make quick breakfast in the morning. The central heating system was amazing, very well maintained temperature throughout. The apartment is only 7-10mins away from the central station. Lots of shops on the way.Felt safe to walk. We had an amazing time staying. Thanks

I had an exceptional stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. My room was spotlessly clean and very spacious, providing a comfortable stay. The in-room kitchen was extremely convenient and well-equipped, making meal prep a breeze. A special thanks to the staff for the unique touch of providing drip coffee in the room – it was a delightful start to my mornings. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again!

The room itself was nice and the place has a good location. The issues were the heat and the noise. The is no A/C (aka aircon). They say they have a "cooling ceiling system," an energy efficient alternative to air conditioning. It does not work. The room was warm and stuffy, no air flow. And this was with the temps around 75F during the day and cooling off to 55F at night. The other issue is the noise. Our room faced the courtyard and was very noisy, even with the door to the courtyard closed. We needed to have the door open, however, due to the warm room and no air circulation. The loud music went until after 10 pm and even when the music ended you could hear every conversation. In addition the adjacent building had loud music that went on past midnight. We would not stay there again.

We had an interior 2nd floor studio apartment with a balcony to the interior courtyard. Unfortunately, there is a restaurant adjacent to the hotel that shares the courtyard. They play loud music from mid-afternoon until closing, about 10-11 PM. The music bounces off of the courtyard walls and is amplified. We complained each of the four night we stayed about the volume level of the music, but it ended on the 4th of 4 nights with a DJ out in the courtyard playing loud bass "club" music. Due to the lack of AC and having warm days, we really needed to have the door propped open for ventilation. The music issue was seriously a nuisance for us and affected the quality of our stay dramatically. The rooms were nice, but hot. The hotel was very clean. Laundry rooms were clean, but the only instructions were available via QR code - there's no WIFI or cell connection in the laundry room. The hotel defended their position of having the ongoing music by stating that "cultural activation is part of their DNA". That might accurate if they were bringing in art work or something interesting. What they seem to be doing is creating a bar and hook-up atmosphere for locals rather than catering to people traveling and looking for rest at the end of their day out sight seeing. The room was lovely, the facilities very clean and the staff were friendly at the front desk. However, this hotel is disappointingly not at all restful.

This hotel was great for so many reasons, but let us down on some of the basics. Firstly, there had been a snow storm and they didn't receive their coffee delivery so there was no coffee in our room. Not a problem since they had a cafe at reception but they expected us to pay for a morning coffee! I wouldn't have minded except tea and coffee facilities are pretty standard inclusions. Secondly, we were booked for three nights but due to a trsin cancellation we couldn't get there for the first night. We gave advance notice as soon as we were told about the cancellation, and the hotel advised - in writing - that they would refund the first night but we must claim through Hotels.com. We did this, but were informed the hotel had changed their mind and refused the refund. Don't tell us one thing then change your mind...poor form.

2 Übernachtungen im Mai – gemischte Eindrücke Das Hotelzimmer war sehr schön – modern, sauber, kleine Küche, geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns grundsätzlich wohlgefühlt, allerdings gab es mehrere erhebliche Schwachstellen. 1. Größter Minuspunkt: Die Temperaturregelung war nicht individuell möglich. Bei kühlen Temperaturen (10–15 Grad) war das Zimmer deutlich zu kalt. Die Heizung war zentral gesteuert und nicht aktivierbar. Der angebotene Heizlüfter war laut und brachte keine Wärme – keine Lösung. 2. Zweiter Kritikpunkt: Im Badezimmer trat starker Fäkalgeruch auf, sobald in den Nebenzimmern die Spülung betätigt wurde – der Geruch kam über den Duschabfluss. Das war wirklich unangenehm und hygienisch fragwürdig. 3. Kommunikation schwierig: Das Personal spricht überwiegend nur Englisch. Im Hotelgewerbe sollte es selbstverständlich sein, dass die Landessprache beherrscht wird...gerade wenn man an ältere Gäste denkt. Zudem war der Kontakt bei Problemen (z.B. wegen der Kälte) nur per WhatsApp möglich, die Handynr. versteckt im Fernseher. Fazit: Ein schönes, modernes Hotel mit Potenzial – aber bei grundlegenden Dingen mit deutlichen Schwächen in der Umsetzung. Wenn hier nicht an den BASICS wie Temperaturregulierung, Sanitärtechnik und Gästekommunikation gearbeitet wird: nur mit Bauchschmerzen weiterzuempfehlen. Besonders enttäuschend: Genau diese Kritikpunkte wurden bereits in Bewertungen von 2023 genannt – wir hatten gehofft, dass sich nach 2 Jahren etwas getan hat.

The reasons I gave this property 4 stars are: we arrived at 21:30 and were told the room wasn’t ready. This is more than 5 hours after check in time and it is totally unacceptable. Then I requested to have a fan in the room upon reservation. Of course, and while I understand requests are upon availability, we were not able to get one. It was an unusual warm time and we understand they don’t control the weather but maybe is time to add those to every unit for the summers. Staff tries hard to minimize customer satisfaction and also the room was very nice. Only problem was that we had to sleep with the balcony door open to counteract the warm temperature. Yes I knew this place did not have AC so the reason I requested the fan with enough time ahead and was very specific about reserving this place with no AC as long as I could get a fan in the room but still did not get it. Unit was in front of a very noisy street so it was sleeping in the warm or sleeping with noise, so the noise was better and I used ear plugs to minimize the impact. I would return to this place but never again on warm times of the year.

Eu e meu marido escolhemos a hospedagem principalmente pela localização, mas nos surpreendemos com tudo! O atendimento é incrível, equipe super querida e tirou todas as nossas dúvidas, além de terem tido paciência com nosso inglês meia-boca hahahaha Por falar nisso, quero destacar o excelente suporte do Caio, um brasileiro que trabalha no hotel. Nos ajudou muito e deu dicas incríveis para nós, que estamos fora do Brasil pela primeira vez. Parabéns!!! Além disso, a limpeza do local é impecável, a infraestrutura é ótima e os quartos são extremamente impecáveis.

Amazing place to stay during Oktoberfest. Great apartment hotel within walking distance of the Oktoberfest grounds. Clean, modern, and neat room. The beds are a little small, but so is everything in Europe. The complimentary self service laundry was a nice touch. Lot of places to eat and shop nearby. Walking distance to two different UBahn stations and close to the main Munich Train station. We used it to go to Austria for a day trip. Only negative was that they did not clean the room when requested. Not a fault of the maid service, but the front desk staff manager.

We entered the lobby after taking a taxi because we were unfamiliar with the area. We were greeted with enthusiasm by Sebastian who quickly checked us in & educated us about the area, and restaurants. Days later when we needed help with the washing machine, Sebastian was on duty and came to our rescue. The hotel is in a good location and we enjoyed walking to Karlsplatz and Marienplatz. We loved the Christmas Markets which opened the day before our arrival. Bed was very comfortable, kitchenette was beneficial in storing and heating leftovers. The hotel is close to the train station and after our stay and becoming familiar with the area, we walked to the station to catch our outgoing train.

O tamanho do quarto é excelente com frigobar, forno, maquina de café, utensílios de cozinha… banheiro e cama também muito bons! Minha única ressalva é quanto a localização. Já sabia que seria longe do centro porém a vizinhança é um pouco perigosa. Não me senti segura de caminhar por lá a noite. Sugiro pegar o metrô que é do lado do hotel.

I have stayed in Locke hotels before, and I appreciate being able to make myself at home. After so much traveling and eating out, it's nice to be able to cook and make tea for oneself. My room was well appointed, but it wasn't perfectly clean. The bedding and towels were clean, but there was a lot of dust under the bed and I found a candy wrapper stuffed behind the couch and another one under the TV. I had hoped to be able to use the laundry facility, but I think they need to change the rules. Each time I went down, there was nobody in the laundry room and yet every machine was running and there were piles of wet clothes. I don't know if these are clothes other people took out of the wash to put their own in--but whatever was happening I was unable to use the laundry during my entire stay. The neighborhood was also a bit random. I could easily walk to the metro station and grocery store, which was convenient, but it wasn't the type of neighborhood where I wanted to walk alone at night. There were always a bunch of men lining up outside all the shops smoking and drinking. Most of Munich's most famous sites are a 20 minute walk away. I recommend this hotel if you want the convenience of the kitchen and are willing to sacrifice not being in the perfect location.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was great! Room and bathroom were spotless, kitchenette area was small and cute, enough for us to make quick breakfast in the morning. The central heating system was amazing, very well maintained temperature throughout. The apartment is only 7-10mins away from the central station. Lots of shops on the way.Felt safe to walk. We had an amazing time staying. Thanks

The facility was very nice. Everything was clean and the breakfast was great. The staff were exceptional. They were very accommodating and I wish I knew their names. The young lady was from Ukraine and the man was from Portugal. They were exceptional. Great location near the city center. Some might be put off by the arabic neighborhood, but it was perfectly safe.

Estadia com objetivo de acessar o local da Oktoberfest. A localização do hotel é excelente para quem vai ao evento. Menos de 10 minutos de caminhada.

The hotel itself was excellent and we knew it was about a 25 minute walk to the central plaza. Our only complaint was that it is in a very noisy Turkish, arabic/middle eastern part of town, and as two females travelling, there were catcalls and stares as we walked through.. we didn't always feel super safe.

The hotel is cute. Cool design. Rooms are great. Courtyard is beautiful. Carpets need cleaning in hallways. Breakfast is not worth $20 euros… they need to pump up the options.

El hotel es precioso y la recámara tenía un diseño muy cuidado e impecable. La atención del personal fue siempre muy amable y honesta. Está muy cerca de la estación central y de una estación de metro. Ofrece un desayuno buffet rico, pero algo caro. Recomiendo mucho hospedarse aquí.

Great Location for a Family Holiday. Very clean room. Breakfast is expensive at the Hotel but their is a little Kiosk just two Houses up towards Theresienwiese which does great Coffee and has a choice of Pastries and Semmeln.

Studio apartment was lovely. Clean, well looked after and nice to stay in. Only 2 of each item of crockery etc and no tea towel which was inconvenient. Free washing machines are very useful as is the airer for drying them. Very quiet and peaceful and close to the u bahn station. Good choice for a budget stay in Munich.

Great location easy access to Munich HB, clean lovely facility, helpful staff. The room was ready before check in time which helped our journey quite a bit. Having laundry on site was also a great perk. The property has no air conditioning but the staff was able to provide a fan so that dramatically helped. The weather wasn't so hot yet so it wasn't a big problem. However, the street can be loud sometimes at night. So if you need to leave the windows open at night, have some earplugs handy.
