A very nice hotel complex that stands out from the many hotels that often exist on Tenerife. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The daily room service is very efficient. In general, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool areas are very large and well maintained. A few more loungers would be good, as some lovely people start to "reserve" them quite early. The location is also interesting for families. However, due to the proximity to the airport, there are a lot of flights during the day.

Das Hotel ist wirklich richtig schön und durch die flächige Verteilung trifft man außer am Pool, selbst wenn das Hotel ausgebucht ist, auf wenig Leute und hat viel Privatsphäre. Das All-inclusive Buffet hat jeden Tag ein neues Thema und bietet eine große Auswahl. Das Hotel bietet täglich Workshops oder Aktivitäten an. Auch der Sparbereich ist angenehm. Alles wird über eine App organisiert, soweit ich weis ist diese nur auf Englisch, aber sehr übersichtlich und selbst erklärend. Die Mitarbeiter sind wirklich sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind schön groß, sauber und mit offenem Badezimmer, das aber geschlossen werden kann. Je nach Windrichtung hört man die Flugzeuge landen oder starten, diese fliegen auch über das Hotel hinweg, da der Flughafen mit dem Auto nur 30 min entfernt liegt. Wir haben dies aber nicht als störend war genommen. Im Zimmer hat man nichts gehört. Das Hotel können wir also nur weiterempfehlen würden jederzeit wieder dort Urlaub machen. Eines der besten Hotels, in dem wir je waren. Wir waren Ende Oktober, Anfang November da, das Wetter war sehr gut, man konnte im Meer schwimmen und die Sonne genießen.

We have rated this 3/5 overall as in the evenings the bars were closed even though the Barcello app would show them as open, with the exception of the inside bars that had entertainment on. The staff let it slip they starting doing this to ensure the entertainment had as many people there as possible. The could have used the outside stage or kept two staff in the outside bar for those of us that wanted to be outside in the warm weather. We ended up going out instead. Massive shame as this is not how it was managed when it was Sandos San Blas. We wouldnt come back.

Overall, a beautiful hotel, delicious food and wonderful staff but the Royal Level needs some tweaks. It’s a huge hotel with lots of options but we weren’t guided as to how it all worked, with regards to the Royal Level, half board etc. We didn’t get our Royal Level check in experience, or Welcome Drink, as the desk was closed and no follow up the next day either which would have been nice. They need to sort the music at the RL pool - some days there was none, some days it went from radio, to playlists, some days rock!? When there was none, you’re left with the sound of constant bouncing balls from the games courts next to it as a soundtrack! I noticed they had staff going round the Plaza pool telling guests what was going on/events etc. This didn’t happen at the RL pool. They should offer a small snacks menu at the RL pool to elevate the experience. The Spa was also severely understaffed and problematic to book. Appointments were changed, slots were juggled. The treatments themselves, when we finally got them, were great, as were the therapists, but for a hotel of that size, they need to have more staff there - we were restricted as to what we could actually have due to time constraints and available therapist skills, making their extensive spa menu pointless. Shout out to the awesome Hilary who hosted the RL restaurant. Wonderful smile and always helpful. Also the enthusiastic Cristobal who headed a few activities we went on.

Really good hotel with good food and lots of pools. It felt safe and quiet for my family. It wasn't crowded, but there were plenty of other families there. The staff were very nice and happy to help with any query. It was very easy to rent a car thanks to reception and get around, parking at the hotel was free too. I found out on arrival there are multiple levels of all inclusive (AI, AI and Royal), honestly the AI level was plenty enough for us, no shortage of food and drinks for the family. The only reasons not to give it 5 stars are the kids clubs were only really suited to my younger daughter (age 5) and there wasn't much there for my older daughter (age 10). There are no onsite self serve laundry facilities, but found a laundrette nearby. Overall it was a really good hotel and would go again.

The concept of running a big hotel complex all inclusive and activities via application would be nice if the created app would work. We stayed for 5 nights and the application was not working at any point. We missed many activities because of the issue. The food was good, try especially different cheeses with honey. The smoothie buffet was so delicious. The hotel is nice, rooms spacious. You get a small workout every time you go somewhere as there are a lot of stairs anywhere you go. Taxi to airport costs around 20 euros, to Los Americas 30 euros. We chose all inclusive as there is nothing near this hotel. But our main thing was only to relax and enjoy sun and food. Beach towels could be changed at any time. You need taxi to go anywhere. There is a tiny shop at the hotel, but it has mostly souvenirs. Location near airport did not bother at all. Overall the experience was good, but will probably not return to this hotel.

It was surely a nice hotel when it was built, now it needs a little renovation, the rooms are a bit dated, overall it’s not a 5 stars, likely a 4… The food in the buffet is good but a little cold, the pools are very clean but the water in november is really cold. Staff is great

The staff here were great and it seemed quite good value. BUT there was a horrendous sickness and diarrhoea bug going round. We could hear people in neighbouring rooms being sick from the night we arrived. On night 3, all members of our family came down with it and it ruined the rest of our holiday. The hotel were aware of the problem - they told us that most staff have had it, and that many local children have been out of school for weeks because of it - the whole island was struggling apparently - but yet they didn't tell anyone and took no precautions to protect people staying. We saw no hand sanitiser anywhere, staff did not wear face masks, the restaurants were still buffet service with everyone sharing the same serving spoons - etc. This is unforgiveable. They can't help a bug but they can - and should - be responsible helping to ensure that it doesn't keep spreading. I have complained to Expedia but am getting fobbed off without a proper reply. So disappointed.

Do not stay here. The property looks nice on the outside, but the rooms have signs of bed bugs, the staff is unpleasant, and the rooms need updating. Upon check-in, I looked for signs of bed bugs, as I do on every stay, and I found shells in the bed. I alerted the person on staff, but since it was 11:00 pm, I just stayed in my friend's room who had no signs of bed bugs. They offered to switch me, but I did not want to leave my friend in another area of the resort as it was just the two of us. The next morning, we went and spoke to the manager. He had housekeeping come and inspect the bed and I also took my own pictures. Housekeeping came in and when I showed her the shells of the bugs she just said they were dirt flicked them off the bed to the ground and called the other house keeper to change the sheets. Then she began speaking in Spanish with the other housekeeper saying the bed was just a little dirty and she just needed clean sheets. I told her I knew Spanish and started to respond in Spanish, and the other housekeeper said to the inspecting one, lets use English 'cause she understands. While this happened, I texted the manager photos of the bed bug shells. The manager ignored my pictures and said the housekeeper saw no signs of bugs, and he went and saw nothing. They changed my room but did not compensate me for the room I did not sleep in the one night. The staff and the room were both nasty.

Gorgeous hotel and the staff couldn't do enough. Amazing food, so much choice. Clean rooms and even surprised me with fizz and cake on my Birthday. The only downside was getting around the hotel. Easy to get lost as lot's of corridors and lot's of steps for those with young children or people with mobility issues

My room wasn't ready when i got there (early so understandable) but they didnt call me like they said they would when it was ready. You had to download an app that didnt work for things like room service. The bathroom had many ants. The design of the hotel amplifies sound so i could perfectly hear the argument the british honeymooners on the otherside of the hotel were having for hours. The onsite buffet is only ok. They guard towels like they are made of gold. There is nothing really within walking distance and it is a pain to get cabs to go elsewhere. Nothing about this was 5 stars. Stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife or Green Garden Resort instead.

Die Anlage ist sehr gross. Ein Labyrinth bis man ein Zimmer oder z.B. das Gym findet. Essen war sehr gut. Sauberkeit in den Zimmer hat viel Luft nach oben. Flüglärm den ganzen Tag. Preis-/Leistung ist in Ordnung. Zimmer sind grosszügig.

Recently stayed at this hotel for 4 days celebrating a special birthday as a girls holiday and overall we were impressed, the facilities that we visited frequently (pool and bar!) were indeed 5* including being spoilt with some impressive live singing and dancers during the day. Victoria was absolutely amazing and could not have done enough for us, thank you Victoria. The al a carte restaurant was amazing and the staff were indeed 5*, as well as the cocktail & coffee making We couldn’t fault the location with it only being 15mins away from the airport and little further away from Los Christianos & Playa Da Américas We did come across some negatives, the rooms were big and spacious but the service let us down, the tea/coffee station was not refilled on a daily basis even after we asked reception. We ordered an iron which took 4 phone calls and still didn’t arrive after 50mins. The hotel boasts about being 5* but we found all the bars closed at 12am, even though it was advertised 2:30am We were on a girls holiday and were told to keep the noise down on several occasions, given our trip was out of school holidays there was little risk of disturbing children. Probably the most disturbing experience was the courtesy room, where we could shower and change after check out, being 5* we expected basic amenities, such as towels, which were not provided, the smell and basis hygiene of the area was quite disturbing.

Excellent hotel. Food service all good however our room was not cleaned to their usual standard. No bed changed, no floors moped, no glassses or tea cups washed or changed. Disappointing as we have been on numerous occasions and always been top class.

Très bel hôtel avec de belles piscines. Dans les chambres très propres, les literies sont parfaites, les salle de bain sont un peu vieillottes, la douche et les WC sont séparés. Le restaurant propose de nombreux plats, tout est de bonne qualité. Les points négatifs : 1) nous sommes arrivés à l'hôtel peu avant 11h (levés à 1h30 du matin pour être à Orly à 4h et départ à 6h), nous avons trouvé l'accueil un peu froid, ce jour là le personnel présent ne parle français. Les chambres ne sont attribuées que l'après-midi dès 15h, le restaurant n'ouvre qu'à 13h. This is a great all inclusive hotel. If you can afford it, the royal level is well worth it for the upgrades it brings. The rooms were good and the food in all outlets was also good. Royal level clients have upgraded drinks, extra dining options of decent restaurant quality and a reserved pool area with waiter service. It's close to the airport so you do get aircraft noise though it's not so much as to be grating. Entertainment was not bad with daily shows of varying quality, but it's not Vegas. The hotel has a good facility if you have a late flight where you can shower, etc. after the pool. Breeze bar is a nice spot for lunch. All the staff I met were lovely and friendly. One or two areas of the building such as decking is showing its age but overall it's a well cared for property. Parking is good, there's a small town nearby you can walk to and bus routes too.

Loved the hotel (although it is a bit of a maze and it takes a while to find your way around it!). Enjoyed the all inclusive. Food was good. Nice bars. Room big and really lovely to have a hotel room with a bath. Very big balcony (although would have liked sun lounger on it). Hotel was quiet, even though it was quite full with guests. The planes fly quite low overhead, but that never bothered us at all. The location, close to the airport, is a real bonus as the taxi ride was only 16 euros and very quick. Recently stayed at this hotel for 4 days celebrating a special birthday as a girls holiday and overall we were impressed, the facilities that we visited frequently (pool and bar!) were indeed 5* including being spoilt with some impressive live singing and dancers during the day. Victoria was absolutely amazing and could not have done enough for us, thank you Victoria. The al a carte restaurant was amazing and the staff were indeed 5*, as well as the cocktail & coffee making We couldn’t fault the location with it only being 15mins away from the airport and little further away from Los Christianos & Playa Da Américas We did come across some negatives, the rooms were big and spacious but the service let us down, the tea/coffee station was not refilled on a daily basis even after we asked reception. We ordered an iron which took 4 phone calls and still didn’t arrive after 50mins. The hotel boasts about being 5* but we found all the bars closed at 12am, even though it was advertised 2:30am We were on a girls holiday and were told to keep the noise down on several occasions, given our trip was out of school holidays there was little risk of disturbing children. Probably the most disturbing experience was the courtesy room, where we could shower and change after check out, being 5* we expected basic amenities, such as towels, which were not provided, the smell and basis hygiene of the area was quite disturbing.

Restaurants served good food with lots of choice. Staff invariably friendly. Amusing and entertaining evening shows. It was surely a nice hotel when it was built, now it needs a little renovation, the rooms are a bit dated, overall it’s not a 5 stars, likely a 4… The food in the buffet is good but a little cold, the pools are very clean but the water in november is really cold. Staff is great

Do not stay here. The property looks nice on the outside, but the rooms have signs of bed bugs, the staff is unpleasant, and the rooms need updating. Upon check-in, I looked for signs of bed bugs, as I do on every stay, and I found shells in the bed. I alerted the person on staff, but since it was 11:00 pm, I just stayed in my friend's room who had no signs of bed bugs. They offered to switch me, but I did not want to leave my friend in another area of the resort as it was just the two of us. The next morning, we went and spoke to the manager. He had housekeeping come and inspect the bed and I also took my own pictures. Housekeeping came in and when I showed her the shells of the bugs she just said they were dirt flicked them off the bed to the ground and called the other house keeper to change the sheets. Then she began speaking in Spanish with the other housekeeper saying the bed was just a little dirty and she just needed clean sheets. I told her I knew Spanish and started to respond in Spanish, and the other housekeeper said to the inspecting one, lets use English 'cause she understands. While this happened, I texted the manager photos of the bed bug shells. The manager ignored my pictures and said the housekeeper saw no signs of bugs, and he went and saw nothing. They changed my room but did not compensate me for the room I did not sleep in the one night. The staff and the room were both nasty.

Gorgeous hotel and the staff couldn't do enough. Amazing food, so much choice. Clean rooms and even surprised me with fizz and cake on my Birthday. The only downside was getting around the hotel. Easy to get lost as lot's of corridors and lot's of steps for those with young children or people with mobility issues

We stayed one week with our 16 year old son. On check it we were asked to pay an invoice of nearly 3,000 euros even though we had paid months earlier. This also happened to us in July at Barceló Mexico. They phoned us later to confirm the bill had been paid but we did not need that stress! Room was clean but no tissues and mini bar not re stocked even with water, you have to pre book breakfast and dinner every day using the app which is a pain. Bed comfortable and good shower, clean towels daily. Remote location means you need to pay for taxis, 25 euros to Siam park each way, 30 euros each way to jungle park and 20 euros to the airport. Service inconsistent, drinks not always offered, pool service intermittent, this is what you pay extra for and it was lacking. Signs up saying no to reserving sun beds yet this happened and was not challenged. Sadly it did not live up to our expectations.

Amazing in everyway! This was our second time in Barcelo Tenerife and it was just as amazing as last time. Will for sure come back. Amazing resort, amazing staff, amazing food, amazing pools, beautiful design.

The concept of running a big hotel complex all inclusive and activities via application would be nice if the created app would work. We stayed for 5 nights and the application was not working at any point. We missed many activities because of the issue. The food was good, try especially different cheeses with honey. The smoothie buffet was so delicious. The hotel is nice, rooms spacious. You get a small workout every time you go somewhere as there are a lot of stairs anywhere you go. Taxi to airport costs around 20 euros, to Los Americas 30 euros. We chose all inclusive as there is nothing near this hotel. But our main thing was only to relax and enjoy sun and food. Beach towels could be changed at any time. You need taxi to go anywhere. There is a tiny shop at the hotel, but it has mostly souvenirs. Location near airport did not bother at all. Overall the experience was good, but will probably not return to this hotel.

Birthday trip March 2024 We stayed 4 nights at the Barceló Tenerife hotel for my husbands early birthday trip The hotel is only 15 mins from airport The checkin was really quick as we checked in online before arrival The staff at reception were really nice we had the standard room which was very spacious and with balcony area which was lovely rooms were cleaned every day the heated pool was amazing just by the bar area We were all inclusive Drinks were all original and not watered down. Nice hotel near to the airport and the main resorts - only downside it was set on a hill. The entrance was at the top of the hill with the rooms cascading down each side of the pools to the main buffet restaurant at the bottom of the hill Which meant a lot of walking from one end to another (we had a car) which was parked at the top There are lifts but not directly to the buffet restaurant and not in each block - so we had to walk to the next block (away from the restaurant) to get a lift and then had to walk down the ramp ways to to the buffet Not easy to work out where best to go… We had to eat late as the entertainment was next to the restaurant- outside (take a jumper) so that we didn’t have to keep walking backwards and forwards to the room.. There are no disable parking spaces (made into electrical points) so it’s on a first come basis…if you can get a space. There was a buggy to help people around - it was a two seater that they crammed three people into - we only used it once as it wasn’t safe… On other point the food was just ok…if you went later in the evening then some of the main items had finished…like the joints of meat…there wasn’t enough staff to cope with the numbers and we where left waiting for drinks - felt really sorry for them…..

Had a great time staying at this hotel! Amazing activities and food, and you really get to relax and enjoy workshops and activities if you want to. Star Gazing was amazing, we had a few clouds, but the guide made the best out of it with digital presentations and we were still able to look at many of the stars. The staff as well was always welcoming and made our stay for the better. A special thanks to the new employee Sergio, Adrian, Magda (part of entertainment crew) and Alejandro in the bar! Also, the shows in the evening were such a joy at you really feel free to join whatever you want to during the day and evening. Would absolutely recommend this hotel regardless if you want a relaxing vacation or more active one! The only downside was that sometimes the food in the buffet wasn’t always as fresh, but the chefs shifted it out here and there so if you had a bit of time to wait you would get fresh food. Also, alternative for gluten free food was good, but could be a bigger variety. Overall very nice stay. Many thanks - from guys from Norway 😊

The buffet food was good, but the desserts were amazing! I am still thinking about that wonderful mango mousse! The walking path next to the ocean was fantastic and went for miles! Very convenient to get to hotel via taxi.

This resort was great! Clean and comfortable, friendly, kind and efficient staff, from Reception to bars/restaurants, and cleaning too. Bed extremely comfortable and room facilities spot-on (the welcome wine and chocolate was a lovely surprise). We ate in the buffet restaurant most days - the variety and quality of the food was great, with options for "cook to order" at each meal. The only downside, as you'd expect with a buffet, the food wasn't always hot enough, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Good variety of drinks and much better wine than we'd expected for a house offering. Probably very hectic in high season, but great when we went end May.

Good location and nice staff. Hotel is getting a bit dated. Not a 5 star but a 4 star. We took the breakfast and dinner package. Breakfast was repetitive but fine. We decided to dine out at the local restaurants as the buffet had no ambiance. Not even any music. We would stay again but not take the dinner package.

It was surely a nice hotel when it was built, now it needs a little renovation, the rooms are a bit dated, overall it’s not a 5 stars, likely a 4… The food in the buffet is good but a little cold, the pools are very clean but the water in november is really cold. Staff is great

Clean and comfortable. The Royal Level separate areas were really nice and had great service with a really good choice of drinks on all inclusive. Only downside was that the drinks fridge wasn’t refilled at any point and the other restaurants weren’t included on the all inclusive package.
